Chapter 4 Apology

“Who are you? What do you do?” In the office of Joel Shawn, the general manager of Duncan Electronics, Joel stared at the man breaking in his office just now.

“Mr. Shawn, this is Chase Lu, the security guard in the security department. He comes here to look for you. I can’t stop him.” The secretary rushed in and explained.

The secretary glared at Chase. She had never seen such an impolite man before, pushing her away and breaking in the office.

“Chase Lu...” Joel nodded, reminded of that Milne Fan had reported in the morning.

“Yes, it’s me.” Chase sat on the chair opposite Joel, face to face.

“You can fire me, but why do you refuse to pay for me the salary and even embezzle my deposit?” Chase asked.

Joel frowned. “I heard that it was because of your frequent absence, and refusing to pay for you the salary is also the company’s regulation.”

He had to care about Milne’s face. After all, with the excellent ability and achievements, Milne was crucial for the company.

Chase was just a security guard, so naturally, Joel had to stand by Milne’s side.

“Company’s regulation? I never heard it, and didn’t find it in on paper.” Chase felt enraged. Indeed, with many assets he had inherited, such a little salary was nothing for him, but it was about principle.

There was no such regulation in the company, and he was not absent for no reason. He had been approved to ask for leave every time.

Joel helped Milne to bully him. Did Joel think him just a little guard?

“I’m the company’s leader, so there will be a regulation if I say it. You can also make regulation if you’re the boss.” Joel laughed. Since he had decided to help Milne, he wouldn’t care about such a powerless man.

“Are you sure to embezzle my money?” Chase laughed with anger.

It was totally a humiliation.

“It’s OK if you think so. If you don’t agree, call the police. Well, you’re not one of our company, so please leave.” Joel looked unconcerned.

“Arrogant enough.” Chase laughed with his thumb up. To be honest, he had never been bullied all these years.

He looked at Joel, then took out the mobile phone to call John Lu.

“Uncle John, how long should you take to make Duncan Electronics bankrupt?” Chase asked.

“It depends on how much value it has. It will take longer if it’s valuable.” John answered.

“Its market value is only 100 million or so. How long should you take if you do it yourself.” Wasn’t Joel quite powerful to change the rules at will? Since it was so, then Chase would help him to change.

“It’s only 100 million. I thought tens of billions. Such a little company can be destroyed in half a day.” John laughed.

“Good, I want to see it bankrupt today.” Chase hung up the phone.

He looked at Joel. “No one dares to take my money at will.” Then he left.

Joel snorted. He would never take such a boring treat to his heart.

If Chase Lu really had the power to make this company bankrupt, how could he work as a security guard here?

As Chase passed by the reception, he saw Milne Fan and Hale Yu standing there, as if they were waiting for him.

Indeed, Milne was waiting to humiliate Chase.

“Is that Chase Lu? I heard that you’re going to look for Mr. Shawn, so Mr. Shawn must have met your requirement.” Milne satirized.

Hale and other guards felt joyful, too. They were demobilized soldiers, but they couldn’t beat this ordinary guy, making them hate Chase much.

Chase calmly looked at Milne, lighting a cigarette and puffing. “Please continue your performance.”

Just let him laugh now. Chase wanted to see if Milne could laugh later when he heard this company bankrupt.

Hearing Chase’s irony, Milne’s face changed. What he hated most was just Chase’s calming expression.

“Chase Lu, you’re just a coward, so what do you rely on to offend me?” Milne said in a deep voice.

“So be it, Chase Lu. You’re just a guard, but manager Fan has both the money and power. What do you rely on? Listen to me. Apologize to manager Fan, or you maybe can’t find any job in Jol City.” Hale Yu seemed to persuade Chase, but the word he said was full of threats.

Chase laughed. “A little manager wants to ban me. Hale, are you kidding me?”

Hale’s face changed, not speaking anymore.

“Humph, I’m just a little manager, but you’re fired without salary and deposit because of my word. Chase Lu, to be honest, your dismissal is attributed to my will. So how can you fight against me?” Milne laughed arrogantly.

“Milne Fan, you talk so big.”

At this moment, a majestic voice came over. They looked back, seeing general manager Joel striding over.

Milne felt nervous because of Joel’s terrible face.

“Mr. Shawn, are you going to go out?” Milne smiled unnaturally.

“Humph!” Joel glared at Milne. “Chase Lu behaves well in the company. Why do you want to fire him? You’re just in charge of the sales department, so who gave you the right to fire the other department member?”

“You have used your power without control. Milne Fan, apologize to Chase and get his forgiveness, or I’ll fire you at once!” Joel rebuked.

“Ah?” Milne was shocked. He didn’t know what had happened.

In the face of Joel’s anger, he felt his legs shivering.

Hale and other guards were stunned. Wasn’t that Joel who had agreed to fire Chase?

So what was the situation now?

Looking at Joel, who was rebuking Milne, Chase sneered.
