Chapter 12 Tailing

“It’s time for dinner.”

Chase Lu went out with the meal.

He had dinner with Cassie outside, but he still returned early to prepare dinner for Jayne Lin.

“No, I’m filled with anger when I see you.” Jayne looked unpleasant.

Chase frowned, trying to relax Jayne. “Do you need me to feed you?”

“Chase, act like a man,” Jayne said.

“What’s the matter?” Chase felt something wrong. Jayne wouldn’t be such angry if nothing happened.

“You offended Milne Fan. He ordered me to talk with a customer. If I can’t make the contract, he will cut my bonus this month.” Jayne looked helpless.

“Did the customer do things hard for you?” Chase asked.

“Not just doing things hard, he wanted me to sleep with him. He should look into the mirror carefully to find himself as ugly as a pig!” As long as the customer’s face came into her mind, Jayne felt disgusted.

“Who was he? I can help you.” Chase said.

“You?” Jayne looked at Chase. “You should know how much you can do. Do you think it will be fine to beat him? Chase, just to find a job and it will be the best help for me. You’d better leave this thing away. If I lose this customer because of you, I’ll never forgive you.”

“Do you want to sleep with him?” Chase sneered.

“You!” Jayne pointed at Chase, with her body shaking. “Chase Lu, if you doubt me, you can divorce!”

Then Jayne rushed to Cassie’s room.

Chase shrugged, sitting on the sofa to watch TV.

The next day, Chase went to Duncan Electronics.

Since he had acquired this company, he hadn’t been here anymore. Today, he came here to investigate who the customer Jayne talked with was.

Just as Chase went into the gate, he heard some guards talking about him.

“Hasn’t he been fired? Why does he come here?”

“Ah, I heard that he has been fired, and even can’t get salary this month.”

“Yes, manager Fan did this, but Mr. Shawn helped Chase Lu and ordered manager Fan to apologize to him. Do you know why?”

“Why?”

“I heard his wife has a special relationship with Mr. Shawn.”

Chase stared at those guards, forcing them to shut up.

The guards left one by one with disdain in their eyes.

Chase came to Joel’s office with anger.

Joel Shawn, who was in a hurry to welcome Chase, became nervous because of Chase’s terrible expression.

“Young master Lu, you’re here,” Joel said carefully.

Chase sat on Joel’s seat, taking out a cigarette and lighting. “Do you know Jayne Lin in the sales department is my wife?”

Joel nodded. “I knew it just a few days before. Mr. Lu, do you mean to promote your wife?”

Chase leaned on the backrest. “You do it, but try not to be so obvious. I’m here to talk about another thing.”

Joel nodded. “OK.”

“Recently, a rumor of you and my wife is spreading. Do you know that?” Chase stared at Joel.

“Ah? Mr. Lu, I’ve known your wife only recently. I have no contact with the young lady. I’ve even never talked with her. Please trust me!” Joel felt horrified. It was totally a rumor!

Indeed, Joel had some lovers, but he didn’t dare to think about Chase’s wife at all. Who had made this rumor to make him die?

“I know it’s not your business, but you’ll in trouble if you can’t handle well this matter.” Chase’s voice sounded deep.

“Yes, I’m going to investigate now. Anyone who dares to talk about this matter will be fired.” Joel took a breath of relief.

“It isn’t useful to fire some people. Use your brain and think about how to clarify this rumor.” Chase pointed at the head.

Joel understood immediately. If he fired those who spread this rumor, the matter would fade in the company. But what if those who had been fired spread it out of the company?

“You think of it later. Now, let me see the information about the customer that Jayne is talking with.” Chase ordered.

Joel nodded, ordering the secretary to do it.

Soon the secretary came back with the document.

“Mr. Lu, this is the customer’s information.” The secretary put the document on the desk, looking at Chase with respect.

Who could believe that a security guard had suddenly become the president of this company?

Chase scanned the information, then called John Lu to give a warning to the customer.

“Besides, inform the managers that I’ll hold a meeting this Friday.” Chase hang up the phone and ordered to Joel.

“OK, I’m going to inform them.” The secretary went out.

Then Chase stood up to leave.

As he passed by Milne Fan’s office, he saw Jayne went out with Milne.

“What are you doing here? Tailing after me?” Jayne frowned, enraged. Since Chase meant to doubt her loyalty last night, it would be natural for him to tail after her.
