Chapter 3 Break-through!

by Madman 11:04,Sep 12,2020
Feeling the Chi appeared in his body, Lance Loong was confused.

“But why did the jade contained so much Chi? Was it from my father?”

As an ordinary man, though Lance built his physical body much better than the ordinary ones, he couldn’t handle so much Chi all of a sudden.

He was like a bottle and the Chi was the water that exceeded its capacity, which was extremely dangerous. The energy finally overflowed and it burst out from his body so violently that its shock blew the dust around him away!

A fiery wave surged inside his body, destroying his flesh and bone.

Lance couldn’t help yelling out loud, but still, he gritted his teeth against the pain.

Sweat flowed down his forehead like a waterfall, while the pain didn’t get any better. If the Chi kept on flooding in, his body would explode!

And that was when he understood that the situation wouldn’t get any better if he just waited for the pain to pass. What he should do right now was to use Chi to break through the dragon-veins so that to expand his capacity.

“I’m not...going to die! Not here...not now! The dragon-veins! Break!!!”

Lance roared like an animal, and the Chi inside his body was motivated by his strong mind, charging to the blocked dragon-veins.

Crash!

It hit the block in the vein, and gradually, the closed vein stretched!

Crack!

One of the dragon-veins was broken through! Lance got the Chi flooded in and come back to the start over and over again to consume, yet the energy was still rampaging.

“The first one was done, but I can still feel the turgidity of Chi, with so much of it, I might be able to break through the second dragon-vein!”

The second one, though, required several times more Chi than the first one, which was the reason why of all the people in this town, only those who got talents and instruction could break their dragon-veins!

Except for that, the break-though of the second one could also be much painful and difficult, but standing in front of his father’s tomb, Lance decided to challenge himself!

Again!

It took Lance more than fifteen minutes to break a small gap, while he was already exhausted.

“The old man asked me to be the strongest, and I said yes already, how could I fail!? Watch me father! I will break the second dragon-vein even if it will cost my life! Watch me!!!”

Crack!

After one hour, the second one was finally broken through. Chi also stopped rampaging and moved peacefully to nutritious his body.

While more of them just lied calmly in his abdomen.

Lance opened his eyes, gasping, yet Chi comforted him soon.

Even it was the night, he could see far and hear more than he could ever do before.

It was like metamorphosis to him.

He stood up to move his arms and legs and felt himself light as a swallow but also was capable of lifting a thousand-pound rock!

For him right now, using Chi to burst, he could easily shock the tree broken.

Lance glanced at the tomb of Ian Loong and then bowed low to it.

“Thank you, old man. I used to hate you and my mother for giving me nothing as parents, while now, I apologize. You are a good father.”

...

On his way back to the town, Lance recalled what had just happened and thought of the dragon-shaped jade suddenly.

“No, wait,” He frowned, “How could the jade just appear in my spiritual space? And was the Chi in it from my father? Maybe the old man knew that the jade could give me Chi? But what the hell is Dragonia, and the overlord shit?”

“Never mind, no one knew his history before Baiyang anyway...”

“The most important thing is that if the old man knew the jade could give me Chi, then he must know that shit would empty his, why was he willing to do so?”

Thinking of that, Lance closed his eyes and got himself back to his spiritual space where the jade still floated quietly.

How could an object enter his inner spiritual space?

This jade was way too mysterious.

“Shit!”

Suddenly, Lance found that the jade was still transporting Chi to his body. It was just the flow wasn’t so raging anymore.

“The speed, it should be much quicker than anyone else, yes, soon, I will catch up!”

Lance smiled because his ordinary life now had a turn.

Looking at the town not far away, he thought of the words of Ian.

“But the competition...the young generation of the Yang family is talented, for now, I can’t even defeat Zhan Yang, not to mention the rest of them...to get the Dragon’s Mark is even harder to climb up to the sky...and that dragon warrior shit...is that this important?”

After he finally came back to his residence, it was already midnight.

He lived by himself on the east side of the town. Though he lived his life as a little punk, Lance never messed with those who he couldn’t deal with, so no accident ever happened to him.

Yet, tonight, when he got back to his bed, he found something strange.

“Someone moved my bedding, a thief?”

Lance then checked on his stuff but found nothing missing.

“Whatever, nothing was stolen anyway.” He lied on his bed and tried to get some sleep.

But he just couldn’t fall asleep. With so many things happened today and the two dragon-veins broke through, he was full of energy and too excited to rest.

Three hours later, he was still opening his eyes, recalling, when he suddenly felt someone was sneaking around to approach his bedroom.

He pressed on the head of his bed to slid into the chamber hidden under the bed when the floor opened, and then it closed silently.

Through the tiny gap of the floor, Lance watched.

Within several seconds, two men wearing masks broke in and charged to the bed to chop without hesitation.

Puff!

The bedding was cut into half along with the bed.

“What? Where is that little shit? I saw him returned!”

“He must have found something and sneak away!”

“Well, it doesn’t matter, just let him live for one more day, for us, he’s not a problem at all.”

Then, two men left.

Though Lance was at the second stage of dragon-veins, he knew that there were many people who were more powerful than him.

He didn’t dare to relax his vigilance.

Both two assassins were dangerous, and Lance could see that if he tried to go hard on them, he might be dead by now.

“Thanks for the hidden chamber or I must be killed tonight,” And coldness flashed through his eyes, “but who sent them? Why a little punk like me?”

He didn’t understand.

Those from the Yang family did despise him, but if they tried to kill him there was no need to send assassins.

“Something must be hidden behind all this...fine, I’m moving back to the Yangs tomorrow. The manor is jealously guarded and no assassins can enter, what’s more, even though I reached the second stage, having no fighting techniques, I can be easily defeated by even those who are at the first stage. There is a library in the manor, and if I don’t tell them I’ve changed my last name, maybe there’s a chance for me to learn something...”

“A good fighting technique could improve the attack even for several times...”

Lance used to watch when people fought using fighting techniques, and that impressed him.

The next morning, he packed his stuff and went back to the Yangs.

The manor of the Yang family was very large, and no one cared about his move, because the cabin he used to live as a child was still there, only no maid ever keep it clean.

Having cleaned up the cabin, Lance sat down to check his Chi and found that after a whole night, his Chi grew again. In this way, in the near future, he could try to break through the third dragon-vein.

But, of course, the most important right now was to learn a fighting technique.

As the rule of the Yangs, anyone who carried the name made it to the first stage of dragon-veins was qualified to choose a fighting technique in the library.

Luckily, he was now at the second stage.

The library was the forbidden area that was only open to Yangs, while as for the maids and servants, they weren’t even allowed to approach the gate.

Lance came to the library according to his memory, and he saw the stone gate already. Inside the stone gate, there was a tower which was the library.

Yet, before he could make it to the gate, someone stopped him.

It was Lou who used to spit on Lance. He was at the second stage just like Lance.

“My oh my, ” Lou was waiting for Zhan Yang and didn’t expect to see Lance, “Isn’t it Lance? Why do you come here instead of crying in front of the tomb of your useless father?”

Hearing his humiliation, Lance went furious at once, but before getting a fighting technique, he didn’t want any trouble, so he didn’t even show his anger and just passed Lou to the gate.

But Lou stood in his way again, sneering, “Are you deaf? Can’t you understand human language?”

“I’m at the stage of dragon-veins already, and whether I come here or not is none of your business.” Having raised his head, Lane looked at Lou with frosty eyes.

“Ha! I have the responsibility to test you! Come on, Lance, or you are not allowed to go in there!”
