Chapter 2 I Am Not A Fool

by Qian Ran Jun Xiao 14:13,Sep 30,2020
Sandy Shen clenched the pieces, keeping silent with a numb expression.

Emma Liu smirked, "you are just a princess of the former dynasty, and...a fool! You should be grateful for being raised up by our Emperor. Do you know what, the Emperor let you marry General just because he has been tired of you."

Emma waved her sleeves, and stand beside Sandy. Suddenly, she sized Sandy's chin, forcing Sandy to look straight at her. Hate had filled her eyes. "You know what, I should have been General's wife if the Emperor's didn't order General to marry you. General won the fight, but rediculously, the reward was you!"

Emma's sharp nails pinched into Sandy's skin, but she still didn't stop. "You deserve the pain; you have to live in my shadow all your life."

Unexpected, Sandy threw herself to Emma with roaring and red eyes.

Soon, they twisted, starting to fight.

Sandy was about to kick Emma as Hercules Qin came. She screamed with questioning, "Why did you cut my clothes into pieces?"

Slap!

The room turned to be quiet except Emma's sobs.

Sandy felt spinning around.

Hercules was snippy, "Enough! That's my order to cut the clothes into pieces. What do you want?"

Sandy curled up in the corner without saying anything.

Hercules held Emma up, ordering the servants before he left. "Lock the madwoman up; she's not allowed to get out of here without my permission."

Even though Hercules was stoned-hearted, Sandy still loved him.

Since Sandy was locked in the yard, it was customary to starve.

She didn't see Hercules anymore from the day on.

The first time Hercules came for Sandy happened two months after the wedding. He straight went to the point, "I will marry Emma next month, and I'm here to tell you that we have decided the date."

It was normal for the man in this world to have many wives, but only one of them was the wedded wife who could keep great power at home.

Sandy looked pale after hearing his words.

Hercules paused for a while, continuing. "She has the same rights as you, despite she is my concubine."

Sandy suddenly asked as he was about to go out of the door, "Hercules, you bully me just for I am retarded, right?"

Hercules frowned, turning around and looked at her with no emotions.

Sandy looked up proudly with tears on her face. "I am retarded, so I don't have emotion and can't feel the hurt, right? But Hercules, I can!"

After Hercules leaving, the bitter pain, love, and hate fixed together, sweeping over her. Suddenly Sandy felt disgusted, starting to vomit with herself bent. "I am not a fool; I am not a fool, not a fool!"

The marriage between Hercules and Emma was held as scheduled.

Sandy was not a favored princess. She was the former Emperor's daughter. The new Emperor took the crown from the old by hook and crook, and fortunately, Sandy was the new Emperor's cousin.

To show his mercy, the new Emperor allowed Sandy to live with her original title--a princess.

Sandy had been numb and silly since his father was killed. The Emperor put down his guard after several probes. It turned out that Sandy was really a fool.

The Emperor was embarrassed to keep her beside, so he agreed on her requestion--to marry Hercules.

It was not rare for officers to marry couples of wives, so the Emperor would not interfere with the marriage.

Hercules would leave the Capital for work before his wedding.

Generally, after the Spring Festival, the climate should be warmer. Unexcepted, it snowed again suddenly.

In the early morning, a scream tore the peace in Sandy's yard.

A maidservant pulled Sandy from her thin bed, pushing her to the yard. Sandy was in flimsy clothes; her purple lips were trembling.

In contrast, Emma was dressed in elegant and warm. She put a smile on her face for her coming wedding.

Emma viciously looked down on Sandy, softening her sound. "Princess, do you know me?"

Sandy made no reaction, even didn't want to grab her like last time.

It seemed that she would not get mad if she didn't mention Hercules.

Sandy shook the head, "I won't go."

Emma persuaded, "we are the same; we both suffer from lost families; I should treat you better. But you know I am going to marry General, you make me feel uncomfortable if you stay here."

Emma added, "you can choose, go, or be driven."

Sandy still kept silent, curling on the white, icy ground.

She looked up to Emma as she heard General.

Sandy shook the head, "I won't go."

"So you chose the latter one, right? I will tell General that you get away from here. And remember, when you walk out of the house, die or survive, ahs nothing to do with us."

"I don't want to go."

Maidservants held Sandy, forcing her to get out of the yard,

"Stop," Emma walked to Sandy, gazing and smirk. "If you love Hercules, you should die silently, not to drag him."

"There is a river on Western Street; you can hew a hole and jump into."

"Or the old tree on the market, you can hang yourself there." Emma couldn't stop her crazy plans. "You can do whatever to kill yourself! And whatever you like will be mine in the end."

Emma told the maidservants: "the fool scratched on my face. Cut her face and throw her away!"

Then she left, gracefully and slowly.

Daisy, Emma's exclusive maid, was carving into Sandy's skin and spitting at the same time. "It's useless for an idiot to have a beautiful appearance. You are so bold to hurt Madam; you deserve it."
