A loud slapping resounded.
Left City felt dizzy due to the slap, and there was burning pain on his face.
However, what Susan said just now resounded in his mind.
Chuck Hao...was her friend!
He still felt that it was somewhat impossible.
Who was Susan? The Su Enterprises was a first-class wealthy family with countless assets in Beijing.
And who was this Chuck Hao! A countryman, and a blind man.
Of course, at this moment Chuck Hao's blindness seemed to be a fraud, aiming to win the sympathy of the Lin Enterprises.
Such a person...was actually Susan's friend?
While he was still in a daze, he was slapped again, and he was suddenly sober.
When he saw that bearded man raise his hand again, he quickly said, "Don't, don't hit me, Ms. Su, don't be fooled by this fellow. I don't know how he hooked you up, but he is just a scammer, you..."
"Do I need you to teach me how to make friends?" On Susan pretty face, there was a hint of mockery.
The bearded man didn't hesitate, and he slapped him a few more times.
The other men who came with Left City didn't dare to say a word, and the two people inside the counter even retreated in disarray.
Even Left City was terribly frightened, let alone these little bastards, who only had the courage to bully the weak.
The whole room was full of the snapping sound of slap.
After more than a dozen of slaps in a row, Left City’s entire face was completely swollen, and suffered from a serious nosebleed. He looked terrified.
"Enough." Susan finally waved her hand and said.
The bearded man pushed Left City down to the ground, and then snorted coldly.
"You all can get lost now." The bearded man said to all the other men.
The others looked at him with fear in their eyes.
There was an aura of strength around him, and they didn't even have the courage to make a move in the face of this strong man.
Hearing the bearded man's words, some of them ran to the rescue of Left City and helped him get up.
Left City looked a little distracted by these dozens of slaps, and he was dragged out of the room by these men.
"Thank you." After they left, Chuck Hao said to Susan.
Susan looked at Chuck Hao, and doubted, "Your eyes... are you not blind?"
Chuck Hao was dumbfounded, he coughed drily and said, "I was healed last night."
Susan narrowed her eyes with a suspicious expression.
Indeed, he was blind yesterday, but he was fine today. It would be unbelievable for anyone to tell such a thing, but Chuck Hao did not lie.
He had a clear conscience, but thinking about Susan doubting that he might be pretending to be blind, and asked River Ran Ran take off her clothes yesterday, he felt a little guilty for no reason.
"Thank you brother, thank you sister!" Maggie Mu interrupted.
"This...what the hell is going on? Your family owes Left City money?" Chuck Hao asked.
Maggie Mu sighed and said, "Yeah, we really owe them one million."
"How did it happen?" Chuck Hao asked.
There was a trace of bitterness in Maggie Mu’s eyes. She said, "Our family founded this Guesthouse, and in the early years, we did make some money. Last year, an old classmate of my father came to him and said that the Guesthouse was outdated, and asked him to invest in a hotel!"
"Then, they each took out one million..."Maggie Mu said, "As a result...after founding the hotel, my father has become legally bonded, and his business partner used the hotel as a mortgage for a loan of more than three million yuan from Left City."
"Later, Left City came to us and asked for money. He offered us a contract. In the end... the hotel was taken away by Left City as repayment, and the hotel was only worth 2 million yuan. My dad, as a legal person, took on the remaining loan of 1 million." Maggie Mu said with a bit of bitterness, "Then, the money was turned into usury by Left City. One year later, according to them, it has already become more than four million yuan!"
"What about your father's friend?" Susan asked.
"He... ran away." Maggie Mu said, "My dad learned later from his other old classmates that he was actually... working for Left City."
"So..." Hearing this, Chuck Hao narrowed his eyes slightly and said, "All this is just a trick they set up? You didn't call the police?"
"We did make a police report, but they have a contract, which stated one million, but they privately threatened us to pay back four million!" Maggie Mu said, "They teamed up with gangsters, and often came to harass us after we called the police!"
"There’s nothing we can do..."Maggie Mu said with a wry smile, "My parents can only go out and do a lot of jobs every day, in order to pay back!"
"Working...to pay for usury, it's impossible to pay it off in a lifetime." Susan shook her head and said, "This Left City...is really not human!"
Chuck Hao raised his eyebrows and looked at Susan and said, "Miss Su, you seem to know this Left City?"
"Yeah!" Susan nodded and said, "We came to River City to invest in some projects. Left City has a fairly good e-commerce platform. It was originally one of my investment goals, which I have been observing all this time!"
"But this kind of scum!" Susan said calmly, "I won’t invest a dime in him."
Having said that, Susan asked again with a smile, "Do you need... my help? Making Left City go bankrupt, to pay back their money, is no trouble at all."
Chuck Hao shook his head and said, "I also have something to clear up with Left City. I won't bother you with this matter. Thank you for what happened just now."
"How are you going to thank me?" Susan asked with a faint smile.
Chuck Hao pondered for a moment, then he looked up at Susan and said, "Miss Su and I have never met before, but Miss Su must have gone through a lot to find me. I can grant you a wish, as long as it does not violate morality."
At first, Chuck Hao thought that Susan was looking for him to save River Ran Ran.
But today she came here again, proving that she had other wishes, or maybe she hoped that Chuck Hao would help her save someone again.
Chuck Hao did not like to owe favors to others, hence he decided to grant her wish.
"As long as it doesn't violate morality, any request is fine?" Susan asked again.
Chuck Hao nodded and said, "As I said, it is a promise, provided that it does not violate morality."
Susan smiled and said, "Good then, I do need your help with something!"
"Please just say it." Chuck Hao said.
"Let's... get married!" Susan brushed her hair. Her pretty face was blushing.
