A new Audi A6L, is a discreet family car now owned by Claude on Humphrey's request.
The driver was a robust young man with long hair.
After parking at the villa's gate, he handed over the keys, purchase agreement, invoice, insurance papers, and more to Claude.
"I've just bought this car, it's got a Lymelathe City license."
Claude nodded and taking the key, "It's not work hours yet. Wasn't it challenging to do this now?"
The young man grinned, "There was a small hitch, but it got sorted out smoothly."
Claude advised, "Remember, maintain a good image here. Wait by the door and depart in my car later."
"Yes, sir!" The young man saluted. Standing at the gate, he looked like a vigilant soldier on duty in a crucial department!
Claude took the key and headed back to the villa. Later, he called out to the young man, "Myron, come in for dinner!"
Myron surprised. He showed excitement and walked into the yard.
As they reached the villa's entrance, Claude tapped Myron on the shoulder, saying, "When you see him, don't address him as 'Lord', refer to him as 'Mr.' Do you understand?"
"Yes, guard!" Myron drew a deep breath, quelling the restlessness within him and nodded in assent.
Myron trailed behind Claude into the villa, finding Humphrey, Jini, Cora, and Vicky gathered around the dining table.
Displayed on the table were rice porridge, fried cakes, and two platters of cold dishes.
It was a simple meal, yet Myron's legs quivered with anticipation.
As a mere warrior in one of the ten battle groups within The North Zone, under Claude's command. How had he earned the privilege of dining alongside the war lord?
After this meal, he would undoubtedly become the envy of countless individuals!
Humphrey lifted his gaze, meeting Myron's eyes, and remarked, "You're fortunate. Dinner awaits. Join us."
Overwhelmed with excitement, Myron bowed uncontrollably, "Yes, sir!"
Taking their seats, Myron and Claude, like Cora, perched only on the front edge of their chairs, maintaining impeccable posture.
Jini was observant and pondered this scene.
Humphrey complimented the Sister-in-law's excellent craftsmanship as he tasted the porridge.
Jini modestly responded, "Oh, it's just a common meal."
Humphrey, turning to Cora and others, inquired about their opinions on his sister-in-law's skills.
Cora praised, "Mrs. Sutton's porridge is velvety and comforting, perfect for warming the stomach."
Claude admired, "The crispy exterior and tender inside of the fried pancakes make them increasingly delightful with each bite. I've never had such delicious pancakes."
Myron nervously and murmured, "Delicious!"
Humphrey with a broad smile and remarked, "See, keen eyes among us. This isn't just flattery from me."
Jini smiled and offered, "I am glad you all like to eat. I'll make it for you all everyday."
Selena was displeased and remarked, "It's not to my taste. I crave KFC or McDonald's!"
Jini retorted, "Those are junk food, what is the delicous?"
Selena looked forlorn and added, "But it's been so long."
Humphrey smiled and promised, "Selena loves to eat, I'll take you out."
"Really?" Selena gazed up in surprise.
"Of course it's true," Humphrey said with a smile, "But we have already had breakfast. When school is over in the afternoon, I will take you to KFC and McDonald's, okay?"
"Okay, okay!" Selena clapped her hands repeatedly and cheered excitedly.
Jini didn't know whether to laugh or cry and said, "You can't spoil this child."
Humphrey waved his hand and said, "It's okay. Although it's jun food, it's okay to eat it once in a while."
After breakfast, Humphrey originally asked Cora and others to wash the dishes. But Jini refused and insisted on washing them herself.
Humphrey was not easy to persuade.
After Jini finished washing the dishes and tidying up briefly, Humphrey drove Jini and Selena to the kindergarten in his Audi.
Before leaving, Humphrey told Claude and others some things about the Quinnell family, Galaxy Clothing Company, and the Youngblood family.
Claude took the order and drove Cora and Myron in a green Hummer. They followed the Audi and left the Billion Rich Villa area together.
Baylor Kindergarten is one of the most high-end private kindergartens in Lymelathe City.
It is often emphasized that education should commence in early childhood.
Recently, an increasing number of parents have expressed concerns regarding issues in private kindergartens. Despite these concerns, they strive to enroll their children in costly private kindergartens.
In these expensive institutions, children are believed to receive superior education. Ensuring they do not fall behind from the very beginning.
For many affluent parents in Lymelathe City, Baylor Kindergarten stands out as the preferred option.
It wouldn't be an overstatement to label it as an elite kindergarten.
With a tuition fee exceeding 14,000 dollars and additional costs for various activities, the annual expenses can easily surpass 28,000 dollars.
Such costs are quite extravagant for a second-tier city like Lymelathe City.
Nevertheless, the high fees are justified by the quality of education provided at Baylor Kindergarten. The institution offers bilingual instruction throughout, surpassing conventional educational approaches. This approach not only accelerates knowledge absorption in children but also fosters a reading habit, promoting holistic development.
This aspect was the primary reason behind Dempsey's decision to enroll Selena at Baylor Kindergarten.
Had it not been for Dempsey's final wish, Jini likely wouldn't have conceded to Nelson.
As Humphrey arrived in his Audi at the kindergarten's entrance during the busy school drop-off time, his car didn't attract much attention amidst the sea of vehicles.
At the entrance of the kindergarten, various luxury cars were parked.
As Jini and Selena stepped out of their car, a chubby boy standing nearby recognized Selena. He quickly let go of his mother's hand, who was dressed extravagantly, and pointed at Selena, saying, "Selena, the sun is shining in the west, and your mom didn't even drop you off at school!"
Selena glared at the chubby boy and retorted, "Mind your own business and leave me alone!"
The chubby boy blushed and responded furiously, "You poor thing! How dare you talk to me like that?"
The wealthy mother of the chubby boy, with widened eyes, approached Selena, scolding her sharply, "Why is this girl so rude? It seems she was raised without manners! How dare you insult our precious child? Do you want me to shut you up?"
Taken aback by the wealthy woman's threatening tone, Selena took a couple of steps back.
Jini, standing in front of Selena, furrowed her brows and said, "It's just a childish argument. Shouldn't you, as an adult, stay out of it?"
At that moment, Humphrey stepped out of the car with a somber look.
Whether it was the chubby boy or the affluent woman, Humphrey overheard what they had just said.
As the wealthy woman spotted Humphrey exiting the vehicle, her eyes sparkled, and she exclaimed in a peculiar tone, "Why is a widow, who used to take the bus every day to send her daughter to school after her husband's passing, now driving an Audi to drop off her child? Ah, she must have found herself a new man!
Oh my, you're quite fortunate! It's wonderful for a widow to move on, but how did she manage to snag such a young and handsome man? You must be quite captivating in bed, or how else could someone be so smitten with you and overlook everything else?"
Jini's expression shifted continuously, her jaw clenched as her anger grew.
The plump young man burst into laughter and taunted, "Selena, it turns out your mom is a saleswoman and she's found you a stepdad! Haha"
At that moment, the other parents bidding farewell to their children glanced over, pointed, and exchanged comments.
