"Dad!" The sole young woman in the hall couldn't bear it any longer, raising her eyebrows, she spoke.
"I am well aware of my brother's character. He has erred first and cannot shift blame onto others for disciplining him. Isn't this too much? Ian glared and inquired, "Hanna, what did you say?"
Ingemar's expression darkened as he quietly remarked, "Hanna, our father has always favored you, giving you the confidence to speak your mind. Today, in the presence of your eldest brother and all the elders, it's time for you to learn a lesson."
He rose slowly, hands clasped behind his back, walking across the hall. Speaking in a deep voice he declared, "Do not presume to enlighten me on your brother's nature. I understand it better than you do. But what of it? Regardless of his flaws, he remained a Youngblood family scion!"
"He visited Maxobridge Villa for Elsa's birthday celebration, representing our Youngblood lineage. No matter your brother's actions. If they dared to harm him, it is they who are wrong! For the honor of our Youngblood family must never be besmirched!"
"In all of Lymelathe City, aside from the four major families, our Youngblood family reigns supreme. Right and wrong, good and bad, black and white, are not about logic, but about strength. Our Youngblood family has strong fists, so even if it's wrong, it's considered right. Others have weak fists. So even if they are right, they are seen as wrong. Do you understand?"
Hanna was about to respond when Ian reprimanded him, "Hanna, my father taught you to act wisely and appropriately in public. Do you not understand the basic etiquette?"
Hanna bit his lip, lowered his head, and replied, "I have taken note of what the elder brother taught me, father."
Ingemar nodded approvingly, a hint of affection in his eyes, as he patted Hanna's shoulder and advised, "Hanna, you are a young lady, you need not involve yourself in these matters, just go and enjoy yourself."
Hanna nodded and exited the hall.
When he reached the hall's door, Hanna suddenly turned back, gazed at Ingemar, and inquired, "Father, the essence of your teaching can be summed up as the eight-word phrase 'fist is the last word.' What if the Quinnell and Humphrey families have bigger fists than our Youngblood family? How should we handle that situation?"
Ingemar chuckled foolishly. He shook his head and smirked, "If their fists are mightier than our Youngblood family's, then we have the option to back down and concede!"
"Haha!"
"Ms. Youngblood is truly jesting. A humble ninth-rate family and an adopted son of the He family daring to provoke while the elders are absent. How could they possibly cause a commotion?"
"Although our Youngblood family may not be on par with the four major families, we are not to be trifled with by anyone. They can unleash their horses!"
"Hahaha!" Everyone in the house was laughing.
The laughter was harsh!
They regarded Hanna as if she were a child speaking immature words.
Hanna pursed his lips in helplessness, turned around, and left without another word.
After Hanna departed, Ingemar returned to his seat, sat down, and sipped tea while listening to updates on the Youngblood family's recent business situation.
Suddenly, Ian's phone rang.
He checked and saw it was his wife Angus calling.
Upon answering, before Ian could inquire, Angus's harsh sobs were audible from the other end.
"What? Where? Fine, keep the kid waiting, I'm coming over now!"
After ending the call, Ingemar frowned and inquired, "What's the matter? What happened?"
Ian with a grim expression, replied angrily, "Father, Angus, and baby Youngblood were attacked!"
"Asshole!"
Ingemar rose abruptly, exclaiming furiously, "Since when did our Youngblood family become a target for others to harass and harm at will? My son was attacked just yesterday, and today my daughter-in-law and grandson faced violence again?"
"Who are these people? What are your intentions?" Ian inquired.
"Angus took little Youngblood to kindergarten, and he was assaulted at the entrance by someone who seems to be a parent of another child at the school," Ian explained.
"Foolhardy!" Ingemar growled through clenched teeth. "Round up everyone in the yard and bring back the adults and children from the other side! If they dare lay a hand on my precious grandson, they will rue the day they were born!"
Concerned for his family's safety, Ian nodded, quickly turned, and departed.
Shaking with rage, Ingemar grasped a teacup, only to realize his hands trembled uncontrollably, unable to steady the cup.
"Crash!" The cup shattered with a sharp sound, startling all those present.
Glaring at the onlookers, Ingemar spoke with a menacing tone, "Have they mistaken the Youngbloods for a feeble cat when we are a fierce tiger? I, Ingemar, am very much alive and not to be trifled with!"
What kind of cats and dogs dare to poop and urinate on my head?
It seems that I am going to completely establish my authority.
Otherwise, others would think that I, Ingemar, am the second Aldrich!"
Everyone was timid for a while, and then they plucked up the courage to speak to persuade.
"Master Youngblood, calm down"
In Baylor Kindergarten, after Jini sent Selena to school, she moved to Humphrey.
Seeing the rich woman and the Fatty boy kneeling in front of Humphrey, who had no intention of letting them go, Jini paused for a moment and persuaded, "Humphrey, let's forget it."
At first, the venomous tongues of the Fatty boy and the rich woman made Jini furious, and she wanted to slap the rich woman twice. But now that the anger has subsided, she feels a little pitiful for the mother and son kneeling there.
Humphrey glanced at Jini and said softly, "Sister-in-law, you think they have been punished as they deserve, and you can't bear it?"
Jini nodded slightly and said, "After all, it was caused by the quarrel between the two children. Moreover, the two children will continue to study in the same class. It will be too rigid and not good for Selena."
Humphrey slightly shook his head, remaining silent, but casually inquired, "Since the passing of your eldest brother, Selena must have faced bullying and exclusion at school, correct?"
Jini was taken aback for a moment and responded with a wry smile, "Something along those lines did occur. During spring, the school arranged a parent-child sports event mandating both parents' participation. On that occasion, I was the sole attendee."
Following that, they firmly held the belief that Selena's father had passed away, often mocking her for being fatherless."
Humphrey's eyes narrowed, a cold smile forming on his face as he uttered, "Sister-in-law, do not concern yourself with the next steps. Go and rest in the car. I have my intentions."
Despite their brief interaction, Jini had already recognized Humphrey as a person of strong convictions. Understanding this, she merely nodded and replied, "I understand that your actions are in Selena's best interest, so I will not dissuade you."
Nevertheless, she disregarded Humphrey's advice and chose not to retreat to the car for rest.
In this scenario, she was unwilling to be a passive observer and sit in the car.
Shortly after, the affluent woman, who had been restraining herself, suddenly brightened up and, with a fierce grin, exclaimed, "Baby Youngblood, behold, your father has arrived with company!"
Humphrey, towering like a mountain, subtly inclined his head and gazed with his strikingly beautiful yet icy eyes.
In the distance, on the asphalt road, a procession of five Mercedes-Benz S cars, resembling a formidable dragon, was approaching with great force!
The convoy came to a halt by the roadside. Ian and over 20 burly men in black alighted from the vehicles and assertively encircled Humphrey on the sidewalk.
Across the kindergarten entrance, the lingering parents widened their eyes in astonishment at the scene, silently grieving for Humphrey and Jini.
A man familiar with the Youngblood family gasped and exclaimed in disbelief, "Ian himself is here! They've provoked the Youngbloods. Someone might meet their end this time!"
