Les smiled awkwardly. He put his cigarette away and asked with a grin, "Mr. Wade, I have my niece Meral with me. How can we assist you?"
Fitch sneered and remarked, "Did I not specify a thirty-minute deadline for your appearance? Mr. Quinnell, punctuality seems to elude you. I detest tardiness.
Feel free to converse with me, but shouldn't you first show some remorse and appreciation?"
Les's expression shifted slightly as he replied with a smile, "No problem, Mr. Wade. What would you like me to say? I will comply!"
"It's quite simple." Fitch smiled faintly. He gestured to his leather shoes and indicated, "Look, my shoes are a bit dirty."
Les chuckled and offered, "Not an issue. I'll clean them for you." With that, he reached for his sleeve and prepared to polish Fitch's shoes.
"Hey," Fitch withdrew his feet from the desk and said with a smile, "My shoes are quite expensive, you are not fit to shine them for me. How about this, have you seen Diamond Soccer? Kneel and serve as a footrest for me. That will do, I'll handle the cleaning myself."
With that, he rose from his seat and smiling faced Les.
Les's expression underwent a sudden drastic change!
Make him kneel and use it as a shoe stool.
Fitch was nakedly humiliating him!
With a gloomy face, Les gritted his teeth.
Fitch sneered, "What, you don't want to? Just leave if you don't want to, I won't force you."
Les took a deep breath and said with a smile, "Yes! Yes! Mr. Wade, i am able to serve as a shoe stool for Mr. Wade is my blessing."
"Uncle Quinnell! No!" Meral stood behind, her eyes widened and she couldn't help but speak!
Her Uncle Quinnell was also the number one figure in Lymelathe City back then, and he has always been an elder she respected. Now to protect the defeated family, he is kneeling as a shoe stool for Fitch. This made Meral feel sad and angry!
Staring at Fitch Meral shouted, "Fitch, don't bully others too much!"
Fitch had a gloomy face and sneered, "How did I go too far in bullying others? If you don't want to kneel, just leave!"
Les shouted coldly, "Meral, shut up!"
Turning his head, Les smiled bitterly and said, "Mr. Wade, she is still a child. Don't be as knowledgeable as her. I will kneel. I will kneel right now."
After saying that, Les lowered his head and slowly knelt!
He was also so high-spirited that he did not kneel to heaven or earth, only to his parents.
Now in front of the junior niece, he knelt to serve as a shoe stool.
This kneeling shattered the last bit of dignity in his heart.
"Hahahahaha." Fitch burst into laughter!
Then, he raised his foot and stepped on Les's head with some white hair.
Meral looked at this admiration, her pink fists clenched tightly and hot tears fell from the corners of her eyes unsatisfactorily!
Outside the door, the staff of Galaxy Clothing Company secretly looked at this moment. pointing and talking, some with unbearable eyes and others with sarcasm on their faces. The appearance of all living beings in the world is expressed vividly.
Fitch was as proud as a rooster, crowing to announce to others that he was showing off his power at this moment.
He stepped on Les's feet, twisted Les's head hard, and slowly and leisurely wiped the leather shoes clean.
"Mr. Quinnell, your head is quite suitable for use as a shoe stool, ah, haha!"
Fitch just trod on Les's head. Despite his clean leather shoes, he had no intention of lowering his feet.
Les mustered a smile and in a slightly trembling voice, he said, "If I can satisfy you, Mr. Wade, I'll be relieved. Mr. Wade, how can we continue our cooperation this time?"
Fitch nodded and smiled, "Since you're so compliant, I'll make it clear to you. Do you know who the Quinnell Family has offended?"
Les forced a bitter smile, "I truly have no idea. I seek your guidance, Mr. Wade."
Fitch retorted coldly, "The Youngblood Family! How audacious must your niece be to provoke the Youngblood Family? Huh?"
Les trembled, dropping to his knees as if struck by lightning!
Unable to see Meral's expression behind him due to his lowered head, the lack of refutation from Meral implied the truth in Fitch's words.
The Youngblood Family stands as a top-tier wealthy clan in Lymelathe City, second only to the four major families!
Even individuals like Fitch. Who must kneel in flattery, are insignificant before the Youngblood Family!
One might even argue that Fitch is merely a servant of the Youngblood Family!
If Les must flatter Fitch, how much more so the Youngblood Family?
When the Quinnell Family was at its peak, the Youngblood Family was considered inferior. Now, however, the Youngblood Family stands strong in the eyes of the Quinnell Family.
What in the world has Meral, this troublesome girl, done?
Les felt a chill run down his spine, hoping for a chance to make amends. Summoning his courage, he inquired, "Mr. Wade, do you have any directives from the Youngblood Family?"
Fitch smirked and remarked, "It's your destiny, old chap! The Youngblood Family has presented you with a lifeline, but it's contingent on your actions. If you decline, our partnership will have to be severed."
In a solemn tone, Les pressed further, "Mr. Wade, please elucidate. What must I do to appease the Youngblood Family?"
Fitch responded, "The Youngblood Family's leader, Mr. Ingemar, demands that you accompany Meral to the Yang Mansion to confess and surrender Meral to Kirk, the Youngblood Family's second son, as a servant. The choice is yours. This is the only path offered to you by the Quinnell Family for survival."
With a kick to Les, Fitch settled back into his office chair with a sneer.
Les sat on the floor, lost in thought, his expression unreadable. He gazed at Meral and croaked, "Meral, what transpired last night?"
"What happened?" Fitch interjected before Meral could respond, "She and an unknown boy assaulted the Youngblood Family's young master, causing him a head injury!"
Because the Youngblood Family did not disclose much information, even Fitch was unaware that it was Humphrey who had beaten him the day before.
What he didn't know was that at dinner, Humphrey not only beat Kirk but also stepped on Elsa!
Les took a deep breath glared at Meral and said angrily, "Meral, you have always been clever, why did you do something so foolish? You seem so lost!"
While speaking, Les shook his head. His expression is extremely grim. If he were simply asked to plead guilty, it would be easy. Losing face wouldn't matter. After all, he was already old. And any dignity he deserved had long been lost.
How could he hand over Meral and make him a slave? How could this honor the deceased ancestors of the Quinnell Family and his late brother?
However, if they do not comply with the Youngblood Family's demands, the Quinnell Family's power will truly be depleted!
On one side is the survival of the Quinnell Family.
On the other side is the safety and reputation of his niece.
This situation left Les in a complete dilemma.
Meral observed her Uncle Quinnell sitting on the ground with a bewildered expression. Unable to conceal it any longer, she clenched her teeth and said,
"Uncle Quinnell, do not fret, the one who assisted me in defeating Kirk yesterday was none other than Humphrey. Humphrey has returned! With Humphrey by our side, neither Fitch nor the Youngblood Family can harm us!"
