After assigning Adohi to the eighth team, Ceren was in a good mood.
Soon, Adohi followed her out to the car.
Had it not been for Old Master Lindsey's instruction to go to the group with Ceren, he wouldn't have wanted to share a car with her.
In the car, father and daughter chatted among themselves, completely ignoring Adohi.
Norio said to Ceren, "A significant figure arrived in Sunshine Town last night, even Iniko, the President of the Jefferton Chamber of Commerce, had to personally attend to them."
Ceren nodded, her gaze intensifying, "I heard about it too. I even bumped into the female War Goddess Lunet last night! Could the person Iniko was entertaining be her?"
"Lunet?"
Norio gasped, "I heard it was she who arrested the escaped King of Slaughter. Her reputation is soaring now! With her status, she deserves such treatment!"
"Moreover, Lunet's prestigious identity, her father being the strongest Wild North Dragon in a certain southwestern battle zone, and Iniko's involvement in both government and business circles, suggests they might have a private connection!"
Adohi, sitting in the back, looked at his phone and coldly interjected, "The person Iniko entertained last night wasn't Lunet."
"Hmph."
Norio looked down on him, "What would an outsider like you know? If not Lunet, who else could command such attention from Iniko? Just don't tell me it was you!"
Adohi couldn't help but laugh, "What if it was me?"
"You?"
Norio glared at him through the rearview mirror, "Don't think you're funny. Your embarrassment will not only affect you but also drag down the Lindsey Family."
He turned to Ceren, "I heard several of Sunshine Town's top conglomerates visited the Jefferton Chamber of Commerce last night, hoping to become members."
"Even the wealthiest in Sunshine Town, the Willow Group, went. Sadly, even the Willow family father and son couldn’t get through the doors of the Jefferton Building."
Hearing this, Adohi couldn't help but smirk slightly.
Iniko's chamber of commerce was indeed influential.
"Ceren."
Norio continued, "To become a member of the Jefferton Chamber of Commerce, the Willow family will likely invest more in public projects to increase the Willow Group’s visibility."
"This will bring new opportunities for our Lindsey Group's construction business. You should network with them, see if there's a chance."
Ceren nodded at Norio's advice, "I'll do my best, Dad!"
"Hmm."
Norio smiled satisfactorily, then asked, "By the way, you were supposed to go drinking with your girlfriends last night, how did you end up seeing Lunet?"
"I..."
Ceren suddenly recalled the intimate scene between herself and Adohi from the previous night, and couldn't help but sneak a peek at Adohi through the rearview mirror, her heart racing.
Adohi, on the other hand, was smothering his laughter, which only infuriated Ceren more. "Adohi, my dad and I have important matters to discuss, please get out of the car!"
"Huh?"
Adohi couldn't help frowning. "Where are we? I don't know the way."
"That's your problem, find your own way to hail a cab!"
Ceren forcefully dragged Adohi out of the car, then gave him a hard kick in the buttocks before driving away rapidly.
"This woman is too petty and unfair..."
Adohi rubbed his buttocks and couldn't help but curse under his breath.
He walked along the alley back to the street, trying to figure out his direction, when he heard someone calling him, "Excuse me... are you Mr. Adohi?"
Turning his head, he saw it was Dr. Zack Kahua, the one who had previously done acupuncture for Old Master Lindsey.
Behind him was a clinic decorated in an ancient style, known as Marvelous Medicine Hall. It was quite famous in Sunshine Town and even in the provincial city.
"What a coincidence."
Adohi smiled slightly, and Kahua quickly came forward to greet him, saying, "Since we have met by chance, why not come in for a cup of tea!"
"Alright."
Adohi, not one to put on airs, entered the Marvelous Medicine Hall and immediately saw a woman with fair skin and in a nurse's uniform intently preparing medicine.
She had only put on simple daily makeup, but her finely chiseled features were very attractive.
Her large eyes were bright and spirited, with a lively charm, and her lips were like cherry blossoms, pink and captivating.
Her legs were straight and full, wearing clean white silk stockings, stepping on white cloth shoes, dressed in a light blue nurse's uniform, with delicate fingers, exuding an elegant and ethereal aura.
"She's beautiful."
Adohi's first impression of her was very good, and he couldn't help but be dazzled.
"Hmm?"
Kahua couldn't help but raise his eyebrows, and quickly said, "She is my granddaughter, named Simra Zack. Come here, say hello to Mr. Adohi."
"Hello,Mr. Yates."
Simra came over, greeting him in a relaxed and confident manner, her eyes sparkling with a lively light.
"Hello, Miss Zack."
Seeing Simra's elegant demeanor and graceful behavior, Adohi was in even better spirits, and the two formally met.
"Mr. Adohi, please sit here."
Kahua invited Adohi to sit down and personally served him a cup of tea.
"Eh?"
Simra felt curious inside because her grandfather, who was highly respected, seldom showed such humility to the younger generation.
Now, however, he respectfully addressed him as 'Mister' and even personally poured tea for him?
This made Simra couldn't help but observe Adohi more closely.
"Mr. Adohi."
Kahua couldn't help but ask, "Are you already married to Miss Ceren?"
"It's fake."
Adohi smiled wryly, "That woman is capricious and wilful, she got a fake certificate just to fool her grandfather."
Kahua was slightly startled, then secretly delighted!
Never judge a book by its cover. Ceren, You missed a good opportunity!
Isn't this a perfect opportunity for the Zack family to pick up a treasure?
If you don't cherish Adohi, a favored son of heaven, I won't let him slip away!
Old Master Lindsey, don't blame me.
Kahua chuckled softly, "There are so many in the world, why pine for one alone? What do you think of my granddaughter Simra?"
"Ha ha..."
Adohi laughed heartily, "Mr. Zack, don't joke with me. I'm just a countryman who grows medicinal herbs, how dare I aspire to your granddaughter?"
"Mr. Yates, you're too modest."
Kahua pointed to his eyes, "Although I'm old, I still have good judgment. You're a capable man, no doubt about it!"
As they were chatting happily, suddenly a Rolls-Royce hurriedly drove over.
"Dr. Zack, please help to save someone..."
An elderly man, supported by two bodyguards, entered the shop, accompanied by a dignified middle-aged man, "Something’s wrong with my father, he suddenly fell ill!"
"Is this... Chairman Willow?"
Dr. Zack quickly put down his teacup and rushed forward to examine the patient. After a close inspection, he frowned, "Your father has consumed a lot of alcohol, and is overwhelmed by its effects, he must receive acupuncture immediately!"
Simra looked at the middle-aged man and became solemn.
Why is it him?
"Are you okay?"
Seeing Simra looking tense, Adohi couldn't help but ask in a low voice.
Simra whispered back, "That middle-aged man is the chairman of FutureLine Group, named Ivano Willow, and the elderly man is his father, named Fusao Willow!"
"The Willow family is one of the five major wealthy families in Sunshine Town, even the wealthiest. They have power and influence in our town
“The Lindsey Family, which you just mentioned, has always wanted to do business with the Willow family but never succeeded, because the Willow family is known for their stringent demands...”
"So this time, if my grandfather can cure Mr. Fusao's illness, it would be great. If not, it would be difficult to handle..."
