Donald said, "What's the matter? Tell me."
"Which company is currently the largest one cooperating with Pinnacle Group?"
Donald pondered for a moment. "If we're talking about the largest company, then it would be Howler Group."
"Howler Group?" Douglas squinted his eyes. After a while, he said, "The chairman of Howler Group should be Brent Freeman, right?"
Donald was surprised. "Do you know him?"
"I've met him a few times before."
Donald shook his head. "Brent is no longer in charge now. He has handed over Howler Group to his son, Elvis."
Douglas's mouth twitched slightly. His name sounded common and lacked refinement.
"Do you want to meet Elvis? I can help you arrange it," Donald offered.
Douglas nodded slightly. "Do it discreetly, don't let others notice."
"Understood! I'll take care of it. You can trust me."
Douglas's mouth curled up as he asked, "Are you full?"
Donald nodded in response.
After that, Douglas began to tidy up the table. However, Donald played dead, saying, "Miracle Doctor Wellington, I'm too full to help you anymore."
"You can go to the living room and play with Lynette."
Donald trotted off to play with Lynette and muttered to himself, "A gentleman stays away from the kitchen."
Douglas sighed and was speechless.
Alas! He looked down on those who cooked for him even though he indeed enjoyed the food. What an indecent man!
Douglas finished tidying up and took out paper and pen, leaning over the table to write.
Shortly after, he went to the living room and handed the written note to Donald.
"What's this?" Donald curiously took it.
Douglas smiled. "Donald, you want to rejuvenate your manly vigor, right? Gather these herbs, and I'll treat you."
Donald's eyes lit up. Carefully, he tucked the paper away close to himself, stood up, and said, "Miracle Doctor Wellington, I won't disturb you anymore! I'll arrange to meet Elvis as soon as possible."
Douglas gave a strange smile, nodding slightly. Did this guy rush off to find herbs?
Donald left happily.
"Daddy, do you think my drawing is good?"
Lynette held up her drawing for Douglas to see.
Angelia had given Lynette a box of various colored watercolor pens. Lynette liked to draw whenever she had free time.
Douglas took a look, somewhat surprised. He thought Lynette would just doodle, but her drawing was well done. There were flowers, trees, the sun, little birds, and three people holding hands.
"Lynette, is this me in the drawing?"
"Yes!"
"And the little one in the middle must be you, right?"
"Daddy, you're so smart."
Douglas pointed to the person on the right and asked, "Then who is this?"
"It's Angelia! This drawing is what she taught me."
So it was Angelia who taught her. He had thought Lynette had a natural talent for it.
"Daddy, Angelia said she would take me to the amusement park tomorrow."
Douglas was slightly surprised. He hugged her to his lap, pinching her little cheeks. "Great! Do you like Angelia very much?"
"Yes, I like her, and I love you the most, Daddy!"
Douglas smiled happily.
"Come on! Let's watch cartoons together."
"Sure!" Lynette nodded happily.
...
...
After leaving the company, Blanche went straight to Zion Cafe.
As soon as she entered, a waiter approached. "Are you Miss Yarborough?"
Blanche was slightly stunned and nodded.
"Miss Yarborough, please follow me. Your friend is already waiting for you in the private lounge."
Blanche followed the waiter to the door of the private lounge where the waiter knocked.
"Come in."
Blanche pushed the door open and walked in.
The private lounge was beautiful. A woman was sitting by the window, drinking coffee gracefully.
"Why is it you?"
Blanche was somewhat surprised to find that the person who had invited her was the daughter of the Linola family.
Angelia smiled faintly. "Why can't it be me?"
"I have nothing to talk to you about."
Blanche turned to leave. That night at the hotel entrance, Angelia had threatened her. And it was all to protect Douglas, and that made her very uncomfortable.
"Once you step out of this door, the Yarborough family will never be able to establish a foothold in Jadeborough City again. Miss Yarborough, please think twice."
Angelia's expression remained unchanged. She calmly stated the facts.
Blanche halted her steps, turning to look at Angelia. "Are you threatening me?"
Angelia's eyes were sharp, and her aura was strong. She was completely different from her delicate and gentle appearance in front of Douglas.
"Threaten you? Let's be real... You're not even worth the effort. I'm just stating a fact. What a mere thing the Yarborough family is! Once I take action, your family could be history in just three days."
Blanche gritted her teeth and stared at Angelia. "Did Douglas send you?"
"He doesn't know anything at all." Angelia set down her coffee cup and leaned back in her chair her eyes slightly mocking. "Miss Yarborough, don't overthink it because, in his life, Douglas has never mentioned you."
Blanche's heart inexplicably ached.
Angelia continued, "Miss Yarborough, please have a seat."
Blanche gritted her teeth and walked proudly to the chair opposite Angelia before sitting down.
"The Irish coffee here is good. I suggest Miss Yarborough try it."
Blanche snorted. Irish coffee also had another name, Lover's Tears.
She knew Angelia was being intentional, wanting to see her shed tears of self-blame because of Douglas. What a wishful thinking! She definitely wouldn't.
She looked at the waiter. "Give me a cappuccino, half milk, half sugar."
"Sure, please wait a moment!"
The waiter left to fulfil the order.
Blanche looked at Angelia. "Speak. Why did you ask me here?"
Angelia stirred her coffee with a small spoon, creating a small vortex on the surface. Then, she indifferently said, "I know you hold ten per cent of the shares of Pinnacle Group. Name your price, I want them."
Blanche was slightly taken aback and sneered. "Not for sale."
Angelia chuckled disdainfully. "I'm just informing you, not asking for your opinion. Pinnacle Group originally belonged to Douglas, and you've got that 10% stake gifted by him. Does it sit comfortably in your hands?"
"Sammy plotted against Douglas and seized his Pinnacle Group. What have you, as a former girlfriend of Douglas, done? Turning around and throwing yourself into the arms of a murderer? Blanche, as a woman, I look down on you."
Blanche's face was full of frustration. She opened her mouth but found herself unable to retort.
"Is it true that what I said?" Angelia's eyes were contemptuous. "The only reason I'm willing to talk to you today is out of respect for Douglas. Otherwise, your small company from the Yarborough family would have vanished into thin air by now."
The Yarborough Group was similar to the Pinnacle Group, with a market value of tens of billions. However, in front of a behemoth like the Linola Group, it was indeed just a small company.
"Miss Yarborough, if you don't believe me, we can make a bet. I can remove Yarborough Group from Jadeborough City within three days. Do you believe it?"
Blanche looked at Angelia's confident eyes, feeling somewhat embarrassed, she turned her head away. She didn't dare to bet.
"I knew you wouldn't dare. Although we haven't met many times, with just one glance, I can see through your essence. You can't bear to lose your current luxurious lifestyle, wealth, and glory. Once the Yarborough family falls, you'll be nothing."
With a face full of resentment, Blanche didn't know how to retort. Compared to Angelia, her presence felt feeble. It was completely overshadowed.
