Donald turned to Elvis, smiling, "Miracle Doctor Wellington is right. The land Sammy bid on today is useless. It's because that land belongs to our Linola Group."

Elvis was speechless, wondering what Sammy had done to offend Douglas to such an extent that he was being pushed to the brink.
Douglas indifferently said, "Sammy is already out of funds. To get through this difficulty, there are only two ways. First, take a loan from a bank, but the approval process is too complicated, and he doesn't have the time to wait. Second, borrow from high-interest lenders to address the urgent crisis."
"Ordinary people stepping forward, he might not trust. But Elvis, being the biggest partner of Pinnacle Group, if you entice him, Sammy will surely fall for it. As for why you ended the partnership with Pinnacle Group, if Sammy asks, I think you can find a reasonable excuse without difficulty."
"Next, you introduce Terry to Sammy. In desperate need of money, he will borrow."
Elvis felt a chill inside. Douglas's plan was meticulous, one step leading to another, sealing Sammy's fate.
This person is terrifying, not to be made an enemy of... Elvis thought with a shudder.
Since he couldn't be an enemy, better to be friends. If you can't beat them, join them. Elvis nodded with a smile, "I'm pleased to be of service to Mr. Douglas."
Douglas didn't put on airs, smiling, "Thank you. I owe you a favor. Whenever you need, you can call it in."
"Elvis, I look forward to good news! Terry, this isn't hard for you, right?"
Terry quickly nodded, "Not hard at all, Mr. Douglas. Rest assured, I will coordinate well with Elvis."
This deal, if successful, might also bring in a significant profit, after all, why else call it high-interest lending.
Douglas stood up, smiling, "Then you discuss it further, I'll be leaving now."
Donald quickly said, "Miracle Doctor Wellington, let me arrange for some dishes. Why don't you eat before going home?"
"No need, Lynette and Angelia are at home, I'm worried they might be hungry. You guys go ahead and eat."
"You're going home to cook? Then I'll come with you."
Douglas replied, not amused, "You stay put. Come over for dinner tomorrow."
Donald grinned and nodded repeatedly.
Douglas waved his hand and left.
After Douglas left, Donald instructed the staff to serve the food.
Soon, a table full of delicious dishes was prepared.
"Everyone must be hungry, let's eat."
Donald was the first to pick up his chopsticks, but after just one bite, he put them down, complaining, "This is too awful, like chewing wax, hard to swallow, what is this even?"
Elvis and Terry looked at Donald in confusion.
Elvis joked, "Donald, aren't you being a bit too picky? This is a five-star hotel, it can't be as bad as you're saying?"
"You know nothing." Donald rolled his eyes and paused before saying, "You haven't eaten the food made by Miracle Doctor Wellington. That's truly delicious. Let me put it this way, even if someone was executing your fathers on the other side, while you're eating Wellington's cooking, you wouldn't even care."
Elvis: "..."
Terry: "..."
Both were speechless at such a bizarre comparison.
Donald felt his analogy perfectly conveyed how delicious Douglas's cooking really was, otherwise, these two couldn't possibly understand.
"Baboon, I'm telling you, you've earned a favor from Miracle Doctor Wellington, and you've struck it rich."
"Baboon?"
Elvis's mouth twitched, wishing he could stamp his size 43 foot on Donald's size 38 face if he weren't so unapproachable.
"So, who exactly is Mr. Douglas?"
Donald pondered and said, "He's a miracle doctor, a magical chef, also a deity. In short, he can do anything."
Elvis's mouth hung open, utterly baffled.
"I think Mr. Douglas is a devil, a monster."
Terry said this and then sneakily glanced behind him, as if afraid Douglas would suddenly appear.
Elvis was dumbfounded, his mouth agape, truly resembling a baboon.
Donald, with a hint of mystery, said, "Let me tell you something, and you'll know whether Miracle Doctor Wellington is a deity."
He then recounted the story of how Douglas had prevented his parents from getting into a car, which then got into an accident.
After hearing this, Elvis and Terry were stunned, their faces a picture of disbelief.
Seeing their reactions, Donald proudly said, "See? Now you know how incredible Miracle Doctor Wellington is, right?"
Elvis swallowed hard, finding the story too incredible to believe, almost like a myth.
Terry whispered conspiratorially, "Let me also share something with you, but you mustn't spread it around. Mr. Douglas asked me to find someone, Donald knows about it. When my people found the guy, they nearly beat him to death, but he wouldn't spill anything."
"Then Mr. Douglas just flicked his fingers from a distance, and I saw several streams of force enter the man's body. After that, the guy was in so much pain that he rolled on the ground, twisting his body into bizarre shapes, like a pretzel, it was terrifying. He didn't last more than a few seconds before giving in."
Terry was cautious around Elvis, deliberately not mentioning Edward by name.
Elvis shivered, even though it sounded like a tale from mythology. But Terry and Donald had no reason to lie to him. Moreover, if Douglas didn't possess some real skills, would these two, with their status, be so deferential to him?
Elvis felt a sense of fear towards Douglas. Was this man a god or a demon?
Terry whispered, "Actually, there's something even more terrifying, but Mr. Douglas forbade me from speaking of it. Otherwise, it would scare you to death."
Donald, annoyed, threw some peanuts at him, scolding, "Stop showing off. You act as if you're closer to Miracle Doctor Wellington than I am. I knew Miracle Doctor Wellington when you didn't even know where you were."
Terry shrank back, not daring to confront Donald directly, muttering, "We've known Mr. Douglas for about the same time, right?"
"What are you mumbling about?"
Terry quickly shook his head, "Nothing, nothing... Let's drink."
He really couldn't afford to provoke Donald, who was a notable figure; if it were anyone else, Terry would have already dealt with them firmly.
Meanwhile, Douglas had just returned home.
He hadn't driven but taken a taxi instead, which wasn't allowed into the residential area, so he ended up walking for over ten minutes to get home.
Upon entering, Angelia and Lynette hadn't gone to bed yet.
"Daddy."
Seeing Douglas return, Lynette hurried over with her little legs.
Douglas felt a warmth in his heart; he loved this kind of life.
He bent down to pick up Lynette, kissing her little face. Noticing the messy snack bags on the coffee table, he asked with a wry smile, "This can't be your dinner, right?"
Angelia felt somewhat embarrassed, "I can't cook, and I was worried takeout wouldn't be clean, so I didn't dare to let Lynette eat it. We just had some snacks to tide us over until you got back."
Douglas shook his head helplessly, "Lynette, are you hungry?"
"Yes! Sister is hungry too."
"Then daddy will make you something delicious."
Douglas handed Lynette back to Angelia and headed into the kitchen.
Angelia's face beamed with happiness; she cherished this warm and cozy life.
