Seeing her brother as obedient as ever, Tammy couldn't help but smile gently.
Since leaving the Leach Family, Tammy hadn't harbored many extravagant wishes. Firstly, she hoped her influenza would be cured, no longer burdening her brother. Secondly, she hoped that she and her brother could live peacefully in this chaotic world.
Of course, Tammy was unaware of Iwao's current thoughts.
To Iwao, eliminating all enemies, eradicating all possible dangers in advance—this was what truly meant to "avoid trouble."
"Brother, these people are making a fuss outside. Let's not go out to fight or pay attention to them. Let them curse as they please; it won't hurt us anyway." Tammy reached out and ruffled Iwao's hair, her voice gentle.
She was afraid that Iwao, in his impulsiveness, would go out to fight.
Just a few days ago, her brother had been disabled by Mateo and had slain an Illusionary Beast. Even though he could now resume cultivation, he was not a match for those geniuses at the same level.
For these conflicts, it was best to stay out of them if possible.
Initially, she worried that her brother, being young, might act recklessly and compete with them.
Now it seemed that Iwao was still the good little brother she remembered.
That was great!
"Iwao, you coward, fleeing around with that bitch Tammy, and now you've ended up here! Haha, you think you can survive by hiding here? As long as you dare to come out, I'll make you die miserably!" Elod's curses echoed outside once again.
"Tammy, weren't you engaged to someone from the Clayton Family before? I don't mind your previous engagement. Come with me. If you come with me, I'll spare your worthless brother. It's a deal, what do you say?" Elod seemed to be enjoying himself even more.
Inside the room, the air seemed to freeze, deathly quiet.
"Sis, I don't mind being insulted like this, but I can't stand to see you suffer any injustice!" Iwao's voice was low, his eyes filled with intense killing intent, almost unable to contain it.
This Elod was asking for it!!!
"Why are you so foolish? As long as you're okay, sis is okay."
Tammy gently tapped Iwao's forehead with her finger and smiled. "Besides, the sect has rules. If we don't go out to fight, they won't dare to come in and kill us. Let them curse. When they're tired of it, they'll naturally disperse. And besides, sis doesn't care about these things. Why bother stooping to the level of those scumbags?"
"Sis is right."
Iwao smiled.
He didn't want his sister to worry.
As he spoke, Iwao couldn't help but glance at the two names carved on the wall.
Elod, Benny!
At that moment, the temperature dropped sharply!
Originally, he had wanted to let them live a few more days, but now it seemed unnecessary!
Swallow couldn't help but shiver.
This guy was angry.
Whether Elod or Benny, they probably didn't know what "death" meant!
Why provoke anyone else when they could provoke this god of death?
The two of them cursed outside the courtyard for three hours, their mouths dry.
Inside, not a sound was heard.
"Haha, I've seen cowards, but I've never seen cowards like this!"
"Even after being cursed along with your whole family, you're not anxious. That's truly admirable!"
Elod and Benny both sneered.
Although cursing felt satisfying, they still wanted to fight Iwao themselves!
Unfortunately, this guy refused to come out, no matter what!
"From now on, I'll stand in front of your door every day and curse you for an hour. If you can endure it, then I truly admire you! When a person can abandon their dignity, what can others say?" Elod sneered and walked away.
Having failed in his attempt to break through his realm, Elod had damaged his foundation. He needed to return to recuperate for some time to recover from the backlash caused by Spiritual Energy!
Seeing Elod leave, Benny shook his head coldly, holding his shoulders. "The Great Cyan Empire's first? What a joke!"
After saying this, he also turned and left.
He couldn't possibly stay holed up in the courtyard forever, could he?
As long as he dared to come out, he would intercept him!
The outer disciples gathered in front of Iwao's courtyard also felt bored.
They had expected to witness an exciting fight, but who would have thought that one side wouldn't even fight back?
If the other side didn't fight back, what could they do?
They couldn't break in.
That was the rule of the sect, and they had to abide by it!
"Hmmm... boring, let's go."
"Yeah, I never thought that after so many years, the disciple who triggered the five tolls of the bell would turn out to be a coward!"
"Boring, truly boring."
Many outer disciples sighed and dispersed.
In the distant void, several powerful Elders had been watching every move in Iwao's courtyard from beginning to end.
When they saw that Iwao had never appeared, a hint of disappointment flashed in their eyes.
"Could it be that he has no ability, and the young lady has misjudged him?"
"I hope not, but... if he doesn't even dare to respond to provocation, even if he has explosive talent, what good is it?"
"Yes, this kid doesn't have the heart of a strong person at all. His future cultivation path might be very difficult!"
Several Elders exchanged glances, all shaking their heads slightly.
From that moment on, they didn't have high hopes for Iwao.
A person could be weak, could be no match for an opponent, but they couldn't be cowardly!
The heart of a strong person meant facing challenges head-on, facing difficulties head-on.
It wasn't about shrinking back and surviving.
...
...
Late at night.
"Have you found out?"
Iwao stood in the courtyard, already changed into a set of night clothes, his figure looking very sharp.
Swallow hopped onto his shoulder and grinned. "I've explored it. Elod is in a tavern in Fiery Fire City. We can wait for him here. He's bound to come back!"
"Let's go."
Iwao's expression was indifferent as he moved outward like a hawk.
His speed was fast, and there was no sound at all.
He seemed to blend into the void, making no noise.
Avoiding the patrolling disciples, he quietly left the Fiery Fire Sect.
In Fiery Fire City, the lights were on.
Although it was night, many taverns in the city were still open and bustling with people.
In a tavern, Elod bid farewell to a group of friends, somewhat intoxicated, and headed towards the sect.
From Fiery Fire City to Fiery Fire Sect, one had to pass through a long street. During the day, it was full of shops, but at night, it was quiet, deserted, illuminated by the moonlight, casting a faint halo.
"Huh, what about the former number-one genius of the Great Cyan Empire? He's just a useless coward!"
Elod, still somewhat drunk, continued to reminisce about what had happened during the day.
Being humiliated like that and not daring to show his face, wasn't he just a useless coward?
