"Kocsy, please listen to me. Really, this is absolutely true. You... you don't believe me?"
Jarell Lee was choked and coughed constantly, but he still defended dramatically.
Damn, I couldn't admit it. I absolutely could not admit it; otherwise, my reputation would be completely ruined.
"How can I believe you? Tell me, tell me!"
"No, many jade bracelets look alike. You can't just buy whatever he says." Resisting Kocsis's scratching, Jarell shouted anxiously, "You... You'd rather believe him than believe me, don't trust that certificate and invoice?"
Kocsis hesitated immediately after hearing this.
Indeed, many jade bracelets looked similar, and relying solely on a few online pictures might not be sufficient to clarify the issue.
However, at this moment, Fabricio spoke again.
"I knew you didn't want to give up, but as I have said, you will be convinced."
While saying so, he turned to look at the crowd and said, "If anyone has a lighter, please lend it to me."
"Here you go, here you go!"
The one who was eager to join the excitement and didn't mind the trouble immediately handed the lighter to Fabricio.
It's also windproof type, quite good.
A faint smile played on Fabricio's lips as he thanked and promptly lit a lighter. He then placed a section of the broken jade over the flame.
"Hiss, hiss..."
In the intense flames, the area being roasted quickly turned black, and an exceptionally pungent and sour smell rapidly spread. Someone forcefully sniffed, their face full of astonishment, "What... what's this smell?"
"Ugh, it's so bad. Is it supposed to smell this bad?"
"Look, that bracelet is actually melting!"
"I swear, isn't jade essentially stone? How could it melt?"
"No need to ask, it must be fake."
"Tsk tsk. Making someone pay five thousand for a fake jade bracelet. Is this considered fraud?"
"Definitely fraud. Didn't see it coming; these two people, dressed decently, turned out to be a pair of scammers."
After listening to the constant cynicism in her ears, and looking at the so-called "jade bracelet" that had begun to deform and even started to drip liquid, Kocsis Jean finally got out of control after a while.
She screamed again, grabbed Jarell and scratched him wildly. Fortunately, the police reacted quickly enough and hurriedly separated the two, preventing a tragedy from happening.
However, after this incident, Kocsis, feeling she had lost face, quickly reached a settlement with Davey after both parties paid a fine of five hundred each. She even refused compensation for the quartz bracelet handed to her by Fabricio, covering her face as she ran away.
Fabricio smiled knowingly, opting not to press charges for fraud. After all, the certificates and receipts provided by the other party were genuine. As long as she insisted that she was also a victim, deceived by someone else, there was little he could do.
After handling all the matters, he walked out of the police station with Davey while giving him a general overview of Waimarie's current situation.
Of course, there have been some omissions. There's no way to explain it; after all, the group of them grew up together, and it's a bit hard to believe that Fabricio suddenly acquired medical skills.
"Phew... it's great that Waimarie is okay." Davey first breathed a sigh of relief, but in the next moment, he wore a solemn expression. "However, Fabricio, we must remember Miss Muriel's kindness. We absolutely cannot forget it."
In his mind, the graceful figure of Muriel involuntarily appeared. Fabricio smiled and said, "Rest assured, Second Brother, I won't forget."
"By the way, you haven't told me yet, what happened to you and Kocsis...?"
Davey became angry when he mentioned this, a look of hatred flashed in his eyes, and he said in a low voice, "I was borrowing money from a friend in Serene Garden this afternoon, and happened to see her cuddling with that man at the gate of the community. I went up and asked her why she was so close to other men behind your back, but she actually...she actually..."
All right. No need to say, Fabricio could probably guess some of it.
It's nothing more than sarcastic remarks and mockery.
"I was so angry that I slapped her. Then the man kicked me, so I slapped him too..."
There was nothing to say about what happened next. Fabricio couldn't help smiling bitterly and said, "Brother, don't be so impulsive in the future."
Davey nodded, remained silent for a long time, and said in a low voice, "Kocsis is not a good woman, so it might be better for you two to break up."
Fabricio smiled and was about to speak, but at this moment, an extremely vicious growl suddenly sounded in his ears.
"Fabricio Harrison, you bastard has made me lose face, and you still want to just walk away?"
Fabricio frowned and turned around, only to see Kocsis Jean and Jarell Lee glaring at him, their eyes almost bursting with fire.
He couldn't help but sneer, and said with a sarcastic tone, "Oh, just finished fighting, and now you're making up? Truly an Angelic bitch and a liar. Such combination is invincible."
"You fucking ..."
Jarell was so angry. However, before he could finish speaking, Kocsis grabbed him and said coldly, "Fabricio, did you forget that your sister is still in the hospital?"
With his eyes suddenly narrowed, Fabricio said coldly, "What do you mean?"
"Huh..." There was a touch of sarcasm at the corner of her mouth. Kocsis crossed her arms and sneered, "Are you not borrowing money everywhere for your sister's surgery? I've changed my mind; I can lend you the money. What do you say? Do you want it or not?"
When Fabricio heard this, he suddenly realized that this was what the woman had in mind.
He shook his head with a smile, turned around and stopped a taxi, and said calmly, "No need. You better keep that money to buy yourself a genuine jade bracelet, so you won't be covered in fake goods and become a laughingstock."
"Fabricio Harrison!" Kocsis Jean was about to burst with anger. She jumped to her feet and scolded, "Don't give me shame. I'm giving you one last chance. Now, kneel down immediately and yell three times, 'I am a dog.'" As long as you call, I will lend you the money immediately, otherwise you will wait to collect the corpse of your sister."
Fabricio opened the car door and said perfunctorily, "Yeah, you are a real dog."
"You motherfucker..."
Jarell was angry. He rushed over in a few steps, grabbed the car door and shouted loudly, "You, Fabricio, think I'm giving you face, huh? Let me tell you, if you don't kneel down today, believe it or not, I'll have someone cripple you."
Kocsis face was distorted and she yelled ferociously, "Don't doubt it, Fabricio, let me tell you, my Jarell is the head of the purchasing department of Accord Group. The reason why I called the police today is just because I don't want to bother with your good-for-nothing brother. But now you are hurting us. We have lost all face; how dare you not kneel down? How dare you!"
The taxi driver was so frightened that he closed the door and drive away.
Fabricio looked at the two of them coldly and quietly clenched his right fist.
Damn it, if it weren't for the police station in the alley nearby...
"You still dare to stare at me? I'll ask you one last time, do you kneel or not?"
With his eyes narrowed, Fabricio could no longer hold back and was about to take action. But at this moment, a somewhat old voice suddenly echoed in everyone's ears.
"Fabricio?"
These people turned their heads subconsciously when they heard the sound. Fabricio was startled at first, and then shouted in surprise, "Dean Zeigler, why are you here?"
"Oh, I came here specifically for you." Graydon Zeigler is a shrewd old man. Feeling that the atmosphere was not right, his brows suddenly furrowed. He asked curiously, "Is it that... your problem hasn't been solved yet?"
Fabricio glanced at Kocsis coldly, nodded and said, "Yes."
