On the other side, in Ward No. 1608, Fabricio had just seen off Wilton.
Having heard about Fabricio's rescue of an anaphylactic shock patient in the outpatient hall, Wilton came specifically to express his gratitude.
Technically, he didn't need to come and offer thanks, but as the Dean of the Jefferton Province's Public Hospital, he believed it was necessary.
It wasn't just about Fabricio saving a life, but also the fact that news of a miracle doctor coming to the hospital would undoubtedly spread, immensely benefiting the hospital.
Furthermore, he refunded the 500,000 dollars of medical expenses Muiel had paid.
As Fabricio looked at the check in his hand, he couldn't help but think, 'In the next couple of days... it's time to return Muiel's money."
Thinking of her, a smile unconsciously formed on Fabricio's lips.
Upon returning to the ward, Davey couldn't contain himself and asked, 'Fabricio, the old man who was offering to buy the formula just now, why didn't you agree?"
"That's right,' Waimarie chimed in, puzzled. 'It's not a complete purchase, just an authorization, one million dollars... is already quite a sum."
Fabricio smiled with a hint of helplessness. 'Do you think he's so generous, giving us a million dollars for free? Or perhaps he's genuinely kind-hearted, not wanting to take advantage of us even when facing a group of strangers for the first time?"
"Well…"
Several people looked at each other, with thoughtful expressions in their eyes.
After a few seconds, Ruff Shen said, "You mean...if we sell it, we will definitely suffer a loss, and a big loss? Then you can talk to him."
Fabricio chuckled. 'If the formula itself is worth more than a million, why rush to sell it? Isn't it better to hold onto it and earn money slowly?"
"That makes sense," Davey suddenly realized.
Why share the profit when I can make it on my own?
With that realization, the group stopped fretting. Fabricio then smiled and said, 'So, brother, do you believe that if we open a restaurant, we'll surely make money?"
Ruff nodded in agreement. 'Absolutely, with our unique products and a competitive edge, if this doesn't make money, then what will."
"So you agree to stay?"
Being true brothers, Ruff and Davey nodded in agreement without hesitation.
They believed that regardless of who ultimately possessed the money, it was the family's joint ownership. If that's the case, why fuss about it?
With this matter settled, Fabricio felt a weight off his shoulders, but he wasn't in a rush. He would definitely wait until Waimarie was discharged from the hospital.
Next, Fabricio transferred another 100,000 dollars to Davey to repay all his debts.
Regardless of the lender, they made sure to repay a little extra. This was a debt of gratitude they were determined to honor.
As for his personal debts, he still owed 30,000 dollars to his classmates, however, he intended to arrange a face-to-face meeting to repay them, yet, after a phone call last night, knowing they were busy, he planned to wait a few more days.
"By the way, Fabricio."Ruff suddenly asked, "When do you plan to return Muriel's money?"
Fabricio thought for a moment. "The day after tomorrow, tomorrow, I'll prepare a gift first, just carrying some fruits and health products... I feel it might not express enough sincerity."
Ruff nodded in agreement. "Exactly, she's a big CEO, regular gifts might not be sufficient, you need to put more thought into it."
Fabricio chuckled, "Don't worry, brother, I have it figured out."
The entire day that followed, Fabricio stayed with his little sister at the hospital.
However, an interesting point to note was that due to the Drunken Chicken, Waimarie's stomach grumbled, so, Fabricio had to return twice, at ten in the morning and four in the afternoon, to Bevelle Market to cook lunch and dinner, delivering them personally to the hospital.
Of course, due to time constraints, he couldn't stew the dish this time, opting for simpler dishes.
Yet, whether it was steamed carp with poria and gastrodia, steamed melon with fritillaria, or even sweet almond porridge, they all received unanimous praise.
This further fueled Ruff and Davey's confidence in opening a restaurant.
Each dish is so delicious; our brothers' restaurant will undoubtedly thrive!
But on the other side, Scar wasn't as content. No, to be precise, he felt like he was on the brink of death.
Weakness, dizziness, cold extremities, chest pain, and tightness...
A multitude of complications arising from reduced blood circulation made breathing difficult for him.
Unfortunately, even at this stage, experts were unable to identify any issues, this drove him to frustration, shouting, "What on earth are you all doing? How can you not identify such an obvious problem?"
The experts wore embarrassed expressions, unable to find a solution.
After some time, one of them with a sheepish look admitted, "Sorry, Scar, if everything you said is true, then your only solution... might be to seek the person who administered the injection, as for us... we're truly helpless!”
"I, I…"
He attempted to curse but found himself unable to, after a minute's rest, he weakly said, "Is there really no solution?"
The doctors exchanged puzzled glances before one of them suggested, "Perhaps there's a miracle doctor who could help..."
Suddenly, one of Scar's men exploded in anger, grabbing the doctor's collar, he demanded, "Why didn't you say this earlier? Why are you standing around? Bring him here immediately!"
The doctor trembled with fear, stammering, "But he's just an appointed expert of our hospital, whether he'll come or not is entirely up to him, we, we..."
"Fuck you!" The man slapped the doctor, causing stars to appear in his eyes.
"Would he dare not to seek Scar's treatment? Are you out of your mind?"
Throwing him to the ground, the man kicked him once more, threatening, "Call that expert, tell him to come immediately, now!"
"Also, tell him that if he doesn't arrive within half an hour, I'll personally visit and tie him down into the River! Got it!?!?"
The doctor was beaten but dared not voice his anger. He merely took out his phone and dialed the dean's number.
On the other hand, Fabricio was about to head home when he received a call from Wilton, as the conversation ended, his expression turned peculiar.
"Scar?"
"Yes." Wilton chuckled bitterly. "That guy is a big troublemaker operating on the edges of the gray zone, we really can't afford to provoke him, so Fabricio..."
Fabricio smiled and said, "Okay, got it. It's in the ICU, right? I'll go over and take a look."
