Chapter 11: Girl in White

Words : 1819 Updated : Nov 22nd, 2024
The highest peak near the Skynet Sect’s Heavenly Ultimate Hall, the Exceeding Summit, was a hundred miles away. It was the tallest mountain in the area, with cliffs and precipices making it rarely visited. At the top of Exceeding Summit, a girl in a white dress danced with the wind. Her dark, lively eyes and stunning beauty could mesmerize any man. Behind her, a crimson ancient sword shimmered in and out of existence. The girl in white, standing atop Exceeding Summit, seemed like a celestial being from the legends. “Young Lady!” a bald elder appeared behind her, bowing respectfully. “How is that direct disciple of the Skynet Sect’s Sect Master?” the girl asked without turning around. “Although she possesses a seventh-grade Lightning Beast Martial Spirit, it grows by devouring other Martial Spirits, limiting its future potential. Her talent is only slightly above average in the Grand Yan Imperial City,” the bald elder replied. “This remote sect rarely produces a person of high talent, let alone a genius, in hundreds of years. So, it’s best not to hold too much hope,” he added. “It was merely a coincidence passing by. Hearing about Skynet Sect’s newly promoted Sect Master’s direct disciple, I was curious to take a look. Encountering a raw gem would be good, but it doesn’t matter if I don’t.” The girl in white spoke indifferently, her expression unchanged. As she turned around, the ancient red sword suddenly emitted a crisp sword hum. She abruptly stopped, surprise evident in her beautiful eyes. “There’s Blade Cultivation nearby, and it even cultivated Blade Gale...” After sensing carefully, she felt intrigued and tried to locate the general position of the Blade Gale. The ancient red sword behind her instantly released Sword Gale. The Sword Gale rose like a column, piercing the sky. In the distance, the Blade Gale, as if stimulated, also furiously surged upwards. Though only the size of a thumb, it was incredibly resilient. Two forms of qi, separated by dozens of miles in the high sky, were equally matched. “The concentration of this Blade Gale is so high, I didn’t expect to encounter such a person...” The girl in white smiled gracefully, as if she had found something she admired. A hundred-zhang tall Sword Gale appeared within the Skynet Sect territory, startling the residing Elder. A silver-robed elder soared into the sky and rushed towards the Sword Gale. “I am Zyaire Huang, the internal affairs Elder of Skynet Sect. May I know which martial friend is cultivating within our sect’s territory?” the silver-robed elder spoke. At that moment, the Sword Gale vanished. A bald elder and an exceptionally beautiful young woman in white appeared. “I sensed the emergence of Blade Cultivation within Skynet Sect and thus manifested the Sword Gale to feel it,” the bald elder said indifferently. Elder Zyaire’s face showed surprise, then darkened, not because of the bald elder and the girl, but due to the emergence of a Blade Cultivation that Heavenly Ultimate Hall had failed to report to the Inner Sect. Clearly, the Heavenly Ultimate Hall had been negligent, unaware of the Blade Cultivation’s emergence. Had he not sensed the Sword Gale and arrived quickly, the sect’s Blade Cultivation might have been taken away by the bald elder. “Heavenly Ultimate Hall’s leader, Malcolm, has become increasingly negligent over the years. I’ll deal with him later.” Zyaire thought coldly, deciding to first find the Blade Cultivation and deal with Malcolm afterwards. The bald elder was a martial arts expert and a sword master, not someone Zyaire could easily provoke. As for the young woman, her stunning beauty was something even the experienced Zyaire had never encountered before. Their origins were undoubtedly extraordinary. “Elderly guests, would you like to visit our sect?” Zyaire invited them with a smile. “No need for a visit, I wish to see that Blade Cultivation,” the bald elder replied. “The Blade Cultivation is a member of our Skynet Sect. I can arrange a meeting,” Zyaire quickly offered. His implication was clear: the Blade Cultivation belonged to Skynet Sect, and while a meeting was possible, taking them away was out of the question. “You needn’t worry; I just wish to meet,” the bald elder assured. “Then please, follow me,” Zyaire promptly led the way. ... In the courtyard, Titus was surrounded by the Blade Gale. Just moments ago, someone had unleashed a Sword Gale. The two Qi forces resonated with each other, and as a result of the stimulation from the Sword Gale, Titus's own Blade Gale rapidly stabilized, a process that would have normally taken him a considerable amount of time. Not only that, but as the Blade Gale followed the extending Sword Gale for hundreds of feet, it became increasingly condensed, as if someone was guiding Titus to enhance his Blade Gale. Although it was an unexpected turn of events, it was a favorable outcome for Titus. However, in less than a moment, the Sword Gale ceased and disappeared. Titus had no choice but to retract the Blade Gale. Titus couldn't help but furrow his brow. "I wonder who the other person is? Could they be from Heavenly Ultimate Hall? I haven't heard of any sword cultivators in Heavenly Ultimate Hall. The location of the Sword Gale seems quite distant; could it be from the Inner Sect?" Just then, hurried footsteps echoed from outside the courtyard. Isaac, covered in blood, stumbled and rushed inside. Due to his unsteady gait, he tripped and fell to the ground. "Isaac?" Titus looked at Isaac in surprise. “Xenos, you must go to the Yin Yang Platform to save Raelyn...” Isaac urged, in pain. “Raelyn at Yin Yang Platform? What happened? Why would she go there?” Titus frowned. “She didn’t go there; she was taken. The captor asked me to inform you to reach Yin Yang Platform within a hundred breaths, or he’ll kill Raelyn there. I don’t know who he is...” Isaac explained, nearly in tears. Without hesitation, Titus dashed towards Yin Yang Platform. A hundred breaths... Time was running out. Titus didn't know who the other person was, but he would find out soon enough. "Raelyn, please don't get into trouble..." Titus clenched his fist. During his three years in Heavenly Ultimate Hall, Titus had rarely formed close bonds with other disciples. It wasn't that he didn't want to, but most of the disciples he met were driven by ulterior motives in their relationships. Raelyn was different. She made friends based on genuine connections, without any ulterior motives. She befriended people she truly liked. Of all the people Titus had met, Raelyn was the purest in her intentions. This time, when Titus returned to Heavenly Ultimate Hall, most of the people he knew either avoided him or taunted him with insults when they saw him. But Raelyn not only accepted him unconditionally, but also went out of her way to help him. She even shared a silver-level mission with him, ignoring the objections of others. She used her influence to recommend Titus when he needed it most. Titus had noticed everything Raelyn had done for him, and he appreciated her sincerity. If anything happened to Raelyn because of him... Titus's eyes flashed with cold determination. Whoever was responsible would pay with his life!
