Jacky had caught up with the girl. I was on the second floor while they were on the third. I couldn’t hear what they said. But I saw Jacky's excited expression who gestured while saying.
I bent down and started to pack up the things scattered from the shopping bag. Anyway, these things were useful for me in pregnancy.
I took the escalator down to the first floor with a shopping bag in my hand. Then I got on a taxi to Maple Villa.
I slowly packed my things in the box. I decided take my child away after he came back from school.
I didn't know who the girl was. Since Jacky cared the items related to her so much, the significance of her to Jacky was obvious. No matter how reluctant I was to leave, it's time to give up. At least I still had the self-consciousness.
After tidying up, I looked around the familiar room, feeling sad. It’s a crime to be attached to anything that didn’t belong to me originally.
The phone rang. It was Jacky. I quietly looked at the screen and did not pick it up. It had been so long since I got home before he called. He happened to remember me, a pregnant woman abandoned aside, after talking with the girl.
There was a car sound. I walked to the balcony to see Lucas dressed in a small suit getting off the car. He looked very happy, bouncing around.
I became a little hesitant. I didn't know if I should take him away. He liked being here and was accustomed to the life here.
But if I were not here, how should I know in what ways others would treat him? He was my child! If only there was no other hostess here. Otherwise, I had absolutely no idea about whether my child would be treated well.
The child saw me and called me mom in surprise. The servant came and took the schoolbag from his back.
He had already flown up when I just reached the stairs. I hugged him tight.
"Lucas, mom might move out from here. Do you want to go with me or stay here with uncle Hua?" I decided to let him make a choice himself.
Lucas loosened my neck and the smile on his face was gone, "Mom, haven't you reconciled with uncle Hua yet? I don't want to leave."
I nodded, "Then you live here. I will visit you often."
"I don't want you leave." Lucas said with a cry.
I understood the entanglement of a little child because I was also very upset.
"It's too far for mom to work from here. So for convenience, I will move closer near my work place. I will often come to see you. It doesn't matter." I comforted him softly.
"I'll go with you. How about waiting to say goodbye to uncle Hua when he comes back before we leave?" said the child.
I was still hesitating whether to agree or not when I heard the car back.
Lucas looked happy, "It must be uncle Hua."
With footsteps up the stairs, Jacky came up.
"Uncle Hua, my mother and I are moving out. You should remember to eat meat yourself. My teacher has said eating well to grow up." Lucas whispered to Jacky.
Jacky hugged up Lucas and kissed him, "Go change your clothes. I will talk to your mom and don't let her go, okay?"
Lucas turned to look at me and become happy again, saying yes.
The servant led Lucas away. Jacky stood in front of me, looking at me quietly. I did the same.
"I shouldn't have left you alone." He said lightly.
"It doesn't matter." I said insincerely.
"She is very important to me." He said again.
"I know." I also responded calmly.
"You are pregnant and need care. Lucas also needs care. Don't leave, just stay here."
"No." I simply refused.
Jacky's eyes became a little cold. "I won't let Lucas go back to the poverty-stricken life. I will take care of him and it" He pointed to my abdomen.
"I can take care of them myself," I said coldly.
"For the sake of children, you can't go. If you leave, I will let you never see him." Jacky's voice was colder.
I knew he was not threatening me. He could indeed do that way.
I was so angry, "You mean that I was just a tool of having children? You have schemed everything in order to coax the child, haven't you?"
"Whatever you think. In short, if you leave, the consequence is that you will never see the child. You'd better not irritate me."
After saying that, he went downstairs.
He didn't let me go. And I wasn't able to leave. On the one hand, I didn't want to quarrel violently with Jacky in front of the child. In Lucas’ eyes, his uncle Hua was a good man who brought him happiness and warmth. I didn't want to ruin the happiness in Lucas' heart.
At dinner, the atmosphere was very harmonious. Lucas was very happy. Jacky and I also pretended to be happy. Jacky told Lucas that he had already talked to me and I wouldn't leave. Lucas leapt for joy.
When I got up early the next morning, Jacky's car had gone. I didn't know whether he had left this morning or last night.
Lucas was picked up to school. I didn't have to worry about it. After I finished packing, I was ready to go to work. However, I was stopped by the servant who said sir had ordered I could not go out.
I was immediately annoyed. I said that I was not a prisoner. Why locked me up? And let them give way.
They dared not say anything, just kneeling down and begging me not to embarrass them. Because Jacky had said, if they let me go, they would take responsibility.
I had to call Jacky myself. I said I wouldn't move away. Instead, I just went to the mall to finish the job handover. By the way, I should take back some of my things in the dormitory. Jacky agreed.
When I came to the mall, the manager saw me and asked if I could give a hand to take a look at No. 2 counter. Because some manufacturers would come to the mall for promotion today, the mall had to assign colleagues to support without enough staff.
With no reason to refuse, I agreed.
Only after standing on the counter for a while, Xuanlong Jiang came and said that Fourth Brother let me go back to rest early and pay attention to take care of myself.
I was worried that Xuanlong would embarrass the manager. I immediately explained that there was short of manpower today. After that, I would make it clear to the manager to resign. Xuanlong left after calling for instructions.
The business was very good. I sold four mobile phones the whole morning. At noon, I was a little hungry. So I took out my mobile phone to call for takeaway food. At the moment, I heard a sweet voice, "Hello? Could you recommend me a proper phone for girls?"
I was stunned when I looked up. In front of me there was a delicate face. She was looking at me with a smile.
I didn't even smile. The girl in front of me was the person in the photo, for whom Jacky let me alone in the shopping mall yesterday.
