It was the nurse who came in. She looked at the potion and turned to me, "Anything uncomfortable?"
"Is my child all right?" I asked eagerly.
"I'm sorry, you suffered too much damage. The child didn't survive. Please restrain your grief." The nurse said regretfully.
With my tears pouring, I couldn't speak anything. There was a strong hatred in my heart. I could feel I was gritting my teeth.
"Be careful next time. Don't be too sad." The nurse comforted me.
I was too sad to speak anything. It wasn't for that I was not careful. Instead, my child was kicked out forcibly by someone.
The nurse sighed and comforted me again, and went out.
After she went out for a while, the man came in.
He was still wearing a black shirt, definitely not the one he took off to me. He wore a pair of gold spectacles and looked even more elegant. "Do you need to contact your family?"
Of course, the man I most wanted to call was Jacky. He nodded.
He handed over a mobile phone. I dialed Jacky's number. But the call could not be connected. I had to return the phone to him.
"No connection? What's the name of the person you call? I will help you to contact." He said softly.
I hesitated for a while. Thinking that he was trustworthy, I said, "His name is Jacky Hua. People call him Fourth Brother."
He didn't speak. But I saw a noticeable change in his eyes. Soon it returned to normal.
"He lives in Building 4 of Maple Villa." I added.
He nodded quietly.
The reason for I told him the address was that since the phone could not be connected, I could go home directly if it was convenient.
"The doctor said you need to be observed. So you can't leave the hospital for the time being. I will send you back if time permitting," he said.
I nodded, "Thank you. May I have your name?"
He seemed to be a little hesitant, "My name is Mu."
This name seemed to be too strange to be a real name. But I didn't ask for details.
"Are you going to eat something? I'd like to buy some for you." He asked.
"Thank you, I don't want to eat."
He never said anything else and turned around to leave.
Until noon the next day, he had never appeared again. Because only the medicine needed to be changed, I didn't have any other problems.
In the afternoon, I was a little anxious for that I hadn't gotten in touch with Jacky. I did not know whether Lucas was safe.
I asked the nurse if I could leave the hospital. The nurse said that it was fine if I could pay attention to have enough rest after back home.
I couldn't wait to get out of the hospital when Mu came back.
"Decide to be leave?" He asked softly.
He always spoke softly, in line with his image. I even felt that he should be a teacher or something. He never behaved aggressively.
I nodded. "Did you pay for the medical expenses? I will return it to you. May I have your number?"
"Never mind. It didn't cost much. I'll send you back. Now change the clothes." He handed over some new clothes.
After thanking him, I went to the ward to take off the hospital gown and put on the clothes he brought.
He opened the door of the black jeep as before for me silently and drove to Maple Villa.
"Mr. Mu, thank you very much. Yesterday, thank you for appearing in time. Otherwise, I would be in an even worse situation ... Really. Thank you very much. I must give money back to you for medical expenses and clothes."
"You really don't have to. Yesterday I had noticed that there was something wrong with you. But at that time, I was in a hurry to another place. So I didn't follow you in. This is my fault. If I had followed you, your child would not have..."
Mentioning it, he paused and didn't go on. He realized that this would hurt me. So he stopped talking and then gently said sorry.
Thinking of my child, I really felt sad. He needn't have to feel sorry for me. It was when I heard something about Lucas, making me panicked, that I was taken in.
Along this way, we were both silent until we arrived at Maple Villa. He stopped the car and signaled me to get off.
"Mr. Mu, I must give the money back to you. It is already very troublesome for you. How can I let you spend money? How about giving me your number. I will return it to you. Or I will be upset. "
He thought for a while and took out the paper and a pen from the storage box. He wrote a number to me, "If you have to pay it back, just transfer the money to this WeChat account. The medicine cost 3,700 dollars. As for clothes, you don't have to. I give them to you as a gift for our accidental meet. "
He looked so sincere. It would be too ignorant if I always emphasized that clothes should be paid. So I agreed.
I stood by the side of the road and waved at him. He rolled up the window and drove away. I turned around to the villa.
It was the maid Zhen who opened the door. She breathed a sigh of relief when she saw me. "Madam, you finally come back! We are all worried about you! Where have you been?"
"Lucas! Where is Lucas?" I asked eagerly.
"Young Master went to school. Sir had someone to pick him up. What's wrong, madam?" Asked Sister Zhen.
"Is Lucas okay? Did he come back safely yesterday?" I asked to make sure again.
"He is okay but refused to sleep last night, keeping asking you why you didn't come back. We couldn't help but lied to him that you and Sir were out. We had called you but no one answered. Later we found your phone dropped in a corner. Madam, I'm not criticizing you. Sir has repeatedly told you not to go out and let us keep you home. How could you run away secretly?
I didn't explain. Since Lucas was fine, I was relieved. The baby in my belly had gone. If anything bad happened to Lucas, I would go crazy.
I carried the medicine prescribed by the hospital and slowly went upstairs. Lying on bed, I didn't want to say anything or do anything.
I fell asleep gradually. Finally, I was awakened by Lucas's cry, "Mom, where have you been? I miss you so much."
I got up and hugged him tightly. Tears came down from my face.
I hugged Lucas, not paying attention to the Jacky standing outside the door.
"Lucas, go play. It's time to eat in a minute." Jacky said to Lucas.
Lucas nodded lovingly and ran out. The greatest feature of this child was that he was not sticky and very independent. When adults were in trouble, he never followed.
As soon as Lucas went out, Jacky's face suddenly became abnormally cold and suddenly slapped me.
I had a lot to say. But before I could talk anything about my shame and pain, he gave me a slap.
The little child had gone. When I was almost gang raped, where was he? Now he slapped me without asking anything
I felt so chilly that I slapped it back!
