Seeing Atius return with a brand-new car, Maille, who was holding Nidawi, was stunned.
"Have car repairs become so efficient? It's been fixed in just over an hour?"
"Don't say I'm taking advantage of you," Maille said, handing Atius five hundred dollars with a snort, "I crashed the car, so I'll pay for the repairs."
Eilir's face turned red, "Mom, this car is worth over five million dollars, the repair cost is at least two hundred thousand dollars."
"What! That's robbery!"
Maille's eyes widened in disbelief, "It's not made of gold!"
Atius shook his head, "It's okay."
"Where did you get all this money!" Maille looked at Atius incredulously, "Did you take out a loan to buy it?"
Before Atius could speak, Maille roared, "I don't care, you pay back the loan yourself! Don't think about making Eilir pay with you!"
"Mom!" Eilir finally couldn't bear it, grabbing Maille's arm, said irritably, "Mind your own business about me and Atius."
"I'm your mother!" Maille's eyes reddened with anger, "Would I ever harm you?"
With that, Eilir didn't know how to respond.
Nidawi nestled in Maille's arms, pouting, "Grandma, please don't be angry, I'll pay back the money dad owes when I grow up."
Maille immediately felt a pang of affection, "Nidawi is so good, grandma is not angry."
Just then, two identical red Ferraris drove by.
Erez came over with Panchali, respectfully handing two sets of keys to Atius, "Mr. Seymour, I knew you needed the car urgently, so I specially arranged for a new one from another store. The damaged one will take another two days to repair, I hope you don't mind."
"Thanks for the consideration," Atius took the keys and handed one to Maille and one to Eilir, "I find this car pretty good to drive, so I bought one for you too, auntie. It will make shopping more convenient."
Maille took the keys, too shocked to speak.
Eilir clenched her teeth, "Atius, do you still want to live a life?!"
Atius reached out and ruffled Eilir's hair, "Silly girl, did you really think I bought it on credit?"
"I've made a fair amount of money these past few years, you don't have to worry."
Maille suddenly asked excitedly, "The house! Did you buy the house at Royal Brocade Residence?"
"A couple of days ago," Atius nodded, "We can move in anytime."
"Then let's go, take me and Eilir to see it!"
Atius nodded and started the car toward Royal Brocade Residence.
Maille followed in the second car, flooring the gas pedal to keep up.
Eilir, worried about her mother's erratic driving, took Nidawi into the third car and followed.
Soon, all three cars arrived at Royal Brocade Residence.
Gabriel was standing outside the sales department, having smoked several cigarettes in a row.
He had been living in the sales department for the past two days, not leaving for a moment, just waiting for Atius to come.
Seeing Atius, he immediately threw away his cigarette and greeted him, bowing, "Mr. Seymour, you've arrived."
Atius was surprised, "You've been waiting for me?"
Gabriel nodded, "These past two days, I've had people clean up the villa you bought, inside and out, hoping Mr. Seymour is satisfied."
"Appreciate it," Atius nodded and entered the sales department with Maille and Eilir.
Maille couldn't wait to run to the sand table, pointing at the small villas at the edge of the sand table, "Atius, which one did you buy?"
Gabriel smiled and pointed to the central building on the sand table, "Big sister, Mr. Seymour said, this one is for you to live in."
Maille, already shocked too many times today, trembled and started to tear up.
Eilir hugged Maille and whispered, "Mom, what's wrong?"
"Eilir, you don't understand," Maille sobbed, "When I married your father, his career was just starting, and I wanted to buy a house here, but your father never took it to heart."
"He's a fool. Twenty years ago, it was only a few thousand dollars per square meter here, now it's over a hundred thousand dollars!"
"Atius, you're also a fool," Maille wiped her tears, said grumpily, "What's the use of buying the most expensive house?"
She pointed to the villas next to the central building, "These are not much smaller than the central one, and they are at least a few million cheaper. You should have bought one of these."
"Auntie, no need to worry," Gabriel said with a smile, "Mr. Seymour also bought these dozen or so villas."
"What!" Maille nearly fainted, "Can you even live in so many? Are you crazy?"
Atius looked at Eilir with a smile, "I know you like quiet, this way no one will disturb you."
Eilir, with tears in her eyes, cursed with a smile, "You're really silly."
Gabriel then brought the keys, smiling at Atius, "Mr. Seymour, let's go take a look. If there's anything unsatisfactory, I'll have it changed right away."
"Thank you," Atius nodded, "I heard your company has been struggling these past few years. If you're willing, you can go to Olatunde or Poseidon, let them introduce some business to you."
Gabriel was immediately excited.
"Thank you, Mr. Seymour!"
Atius waved his hand and looked at Eilir and Maille, "Eilir, let's go see the house. If it's suitable, we can move in today. If not, we'll buy another."
"It's suitable, how could it not be!" Maille laughed, taking Eilir's arm, looking at Atius, "You still have some conscience!"
Eilir, her cheeks red, moved her lips as if to say something, but said nothing.
Nidawi stood beside Atius, reaching up and asking, "Daddy, is this Nidawi's home from now on?"
Atius picked up Nidawi and said softly, "No, Daddy will prepare a more beautiful home for Mommy and Nidawi. It won't be long before Nidawi can see it."
Hearing this, Maille turned around sharply, said irritably, "Even if you're rich, you can't spend money like this!"
"Nidawi needs money for school, living, and eventually marriage. Where won't you need money?"
Atius nodded with a smile, "Auntie, does this mean you agree with me and Eilir?"
"It's not up to me to agree or not," Maille turned her head away, "It's all up to Eilir!"
Seeing Atius's burning gaze, Eilir quickly turned away, quickening her pace.
After viewing all the villas, they still chose to live in the largest one first, with luxurious decorations and clearly many newly added household items.
Maille sat on the big, comfortable sofa in the living room, smiling from ear to ear, "I'm not leaving, I'm living here."
After saying this, Maille's phone rang.
Seeing it was Damir calling, Maille hung up directly.
Only on the third call did Maille answer.
"What are you doing! Why didn't you answer the phone!"
Damir said irritably, "I'm off for the next two days, I'm coming to pick up you and Eilir and Nidawi!"
"Why are you yelling! Can you yell louder than me?" Maille yelled into the phone, "We're at Royal Brocade Residence, Atius bought a house here, we're going to live here from now on!"
Damir fell silent on the other end of the phone.
When they first got married, Maille told him she wanted to buy a house at Royal Brocade Residence, but he never managed to fulfill that wish for Maille.
At that moment, Atius spoke with a smile, "Mr. Yates, why don't you and the old man move in too? Since there are several sets available here, it's enough to live."
Damir hmmed awkwardly, "I'll discuss it with the old man."
Maille hung up the phone and suddenly got serious, "Atius, tell me honestly, what exactly do you do?"
"Eilir said you used to be a soldier, and I'm not a fool. In the small community where I rent a house, there's an old lady whose son is a soldier, heard he even went to war, and in a few years, he only made over a million."
Eilir also watched Atius, these past few days, she had been thinking about this too.
She always felt that there were many things about Atius that she didn't know.
Atius, holding Nidawi, sat down on the sofa and said truthfully, "Five years ago, I left the Red Dragon Kingdom, by chance I met a group of people, formed a small team, then took on some small tasks, so I made a bit more money."
Maille nodded as if she understood, "So it's like being a contractor?"
Atius couldn't help but nod with a wry smile, "You could say that."
Maille frowned, "So are you going to go abroad for contracts in the future?"
"We'll talk about that later," Atius smiled at Eilir, "My biggest thing now is to be with Eilir and Nidawi."
"Looks like you've got some manliness," Maille stood up and headed upstairs, "Eilir, I'm tired, I'll rest for a while. You two talk."
Eilir, her cheeks red, took Nidawi to cover her unease.
Atius put away his smile, looking seriously at Eilir, "Eilir, do you know? In these five years, I thought about you every day."
"I would think about what kind of man you married, whether he could make you happy."
"I would think, if we hadn't separated, we would surely be very happy now."
Listening to Atius's sincere words, Eilir's eyes welled up.
"Mommy, don't cry," Nidawi reached out her little hand to wipe away Eilir's tears.
Atius's voice choked, "Eilir, when I found out we had a lovely daughter, do you know how excited I was?"
"But I was also afraid, I didn't dare to think about how you made it through these years."
"I asked myself, what right do I have to come back to you."
"But I had to come back!" Atius's eyes reddened, "When Nidawi was in trouble, my heart bled. I swore then, I would protect you and our daughter for the rest of my life, never letting you be in any danger again!"
Atius took a deep breath, controlling his emotions, smiled and said, "Eilir, I know you're not ready yet, it's okay, I'll wait for you, whether it's a month, a year, or a lifetime! I'll wait!"
Eilir could no longer hold back her tears and threw herself into Atius's arms.
Five years ago, she was just an innocent girl who suddenly became a mother, from then on she had to force herself to be strong.
All the hardships, sadness, and pressure of these five years were released in this moment.
She cried into Atius's arms, inconsolable.
Nidawi also ran over, hugging Eilir's shoulders and crying.
Upstairs.
Maille, seeing this scene, a hint of relief in her eyes, murmured, "Both with wooden heads, if I didn't push you, who knows when you would open up!"
