Surrounded by the elders of the Fox family, Haldis arrived at the entrance of the villa.
"Dad, save me, please save me!"
Seeing Haldis, the barely alive Redlyn was instantly overjoyed, screaming desperately in a shrill voice.
"Shut up!"
A flash of cold light appeared in the eyes of the soldier from the Shura Palace beside him, and he kicked Redlyn hard.
Redlyn's injuries were already severe, and after this kick, he couldn't help but spit out a mouthful of blood.
Seeing this, Haldis' face darkened, and a cold murderous intent flashed in his eyes.
Suppressing his urge to kill, he stared fiercely at Ruxley and slowly said, "Kid, you've got some nerve! How dare you harm my son? If you know what's good for you, you'll release him immediately. Otherwise, I swear you won't leave here alive today!"
"Just you?"
With his hands behind his back, Ruxley smirked with a hint of amusement.
In this world, there probably wasn't anyone born yet who could ensure his demise.
Seeing that Ruxley didn't take him seriously at all, Haldis' face turned ashen as he said, "Since you're so eager to die, I'll grant you your wish today!"
With that, Haldis waved his right hand, preparing to order his men to attack. However, at that moment, a cold voice suddenly came from the distance.
"Stop!"
Haldis frowned and turned toward the source of the voice.
He saw a tall, stunningly beautiful woman dressed in black slowly approaching with an elderly man by her side.
When Haldis saw this woman, his expression changed immediately. This woman in black was none other than Vanesse, the eldest daughter of The Cole family.
After receiving a call from Sherise, she immediately rushed to Eastern City with her subordinates.
"M-Ms. Cole, what brings you here?"
Looking at the suddenly appearing Vanesse, Haldis forced an extremely awkward smile onto his face.
He had never expected that Vanesse would show up here. Could she know Ruxley?
At this thought, Haldis' heart sank.
The Cole family was ranked second in Sheyton Province, far stronger than the Fox family. If Vanesse wanted to protect Ruxley, there was nothing he could do.
Vanesse ignored Haldis and instead curiously sized up Ruxley.
Seeing his handsome face and extraordinary demeanor, Vanesse raised an eyebrow and said with a playful smile, "No wonder Sherise asked me to save you. It seems you really do have some charm!"
Although Vanesse didn't like men, she had to admit that Ruxley was definitely the most handsome and charismatic man she had ever seen. If she were a normal woman, she might have also been attracted to him.
Hearing Vanesse's words, Ruxley was first stunned, then felt a warmth in his heart.
"That silly girl..."
He had already told Sherise not to worry, but he hadn't expected that she would still be concerned and go out of her way to find someone to save him.
Seeing that Vanesse was indeed there to save Ruxley, Haldis quickly said, "Ms. Cole, this kid not only crippled my son but also publicly challenged our Fox family. For the sake of my father, I ask you not to interfere in this matter."
"For the sake of your father?"
Vanesse glanced at Haldis coldly and said, "He's not qualified!"
Haldis' face turned red with anger upon seeing Vanesse's disdainful expression, but he didn't dare say anything.
Although his father was a peak eighth-grade martial artist, he was no match for The Cole family.
After all, Vanesse's grandfather was a renowned War God in the Saultrouge Kingdom. Unless Haldis' father became a War God, he had no choice but to endure Vanesse's disrespect.
Ignoring Haldis, Vanesse turned to Ruxley and said, "Kid, out of respect for Sherise, I'll help you this once. Now, take your people and leave Eastern City! With me here, no one will dare touch you!"
Hearing Vanesse's words, everyone gathered around the villa to watch the spectacle was stunned.
In the next moment, their gazes toward Ruxley were filled with intense envy and jealousy.
They never expected that Vanesse, the eldest daughter of the Cole family, would step in to protect Ruxley.
With Vanesse involved, it was certain that the Fox family would leave empty-handed today.
However, at that moment, Ruxley spoke up. "I'm sorry, and I appreciate your kindness, but I can't do as you say."
"What did you say?"
Vanesse was taken aback, thinking she had misheard.
Ruxley smiled slightly and repeated, "Thank you for your help, but I don't need it."
He had come today specifically to seek revenge on the Fox family. Even if the Fox family was willing to let him go, he wasn't willing to let them off.
Hearing Ruxley's words, the scene fell silent for a second before erupting into chaos.
"What the hell, did I hear that right? This kid actually refused Vanesse's help!"
"Oh my god! Is this guy crazy?"
"Exactly! Does he really think the Fox family won't dare to touch him? He's too naive!"
At this moment, everyone's faces were filled with shock. They couldn't believe that Ruxley had actually turned down Vanesse's assistance. By doing this, he was essentially forcing himself into a dead end.
Madman! This kid was truly a madman!
Vanesse's face turned ashen as she stared coldly at Ruxley.
She had come all the way from Shiphay City to Eastern City to protect Ruxley purely out of respect for Sherise. However, she never expected that Ruxley would reject her kindness outright.
With a flick of her sleeve, Vanesse turned and walked away from the villa, her tone icy as she said, "Since you don't appreciate kindness, you're on your own!"
Ruxley smiled slightly, unconcerned with the surrounding stares, and said to the stunned Haldis, "Mr. Fox, if you have any advice, bring it on! Rest assured, today's matter is between me and your Fox family. No one else will interfere!"
Haldis finally snapped out of his daze, looking at Ruxley in disbelief, his eyes filled with confusion.
What was this kid up to? Was he really not afraid of death?
It wasn't just Haldis. Everyone present was dumbfounded, their eyes wide with disbelief. This kid was too arrogant! At a time like this, he still dared to provoke the Fox family! Did he think he was not dying fast enough?
Seeing Ruxley openly provoke him, Haldis couldn't help but laugh, "Kid, I was considering letting you live out of respect for Ms. Cole, but I never expected you to give that up voluntarily. Since that's the case, I'll grant you your wish today!"
With that, Haldis coldly ordered the elders behind him, "Go, take down this kid, cut off his limbs, and bring him before me. I want to twist off his head and make him feel despair personally!"
"Yes, sir!"
The four elders of the Fox family instantly became shadows and rushed toward Ruxley.
The soldiers from the Shura Palace beside Ruxley were about to act, but Ruxley stopped them. Today, he would personally destroy the Fox family and avenge Carmelia and Sherise.
