Voragoshe's situation didn't affect Ruxley's mood at all.
After returning to the villa, he briefly spoke to Fafnian before heading to his room, entering the Blood Fiend Hall to begin crafting protective jade amulets.
Although crafting protective jade amulets wasn't particularly difficult for a beginner like Ruxley, who was attempting to forge for the first time, it wasn't exactly a simple task either.
Ruxley spent about half a day before finally successfully creating four low-grade protective jade amulets.
Based on their quality, the amulets were categorized into four levels: low-grade, mid-grade, high-grade, and top-grade.
The higher the grade, the stronger the amulet's defensive power.
While the piece of Violet Jade he used was of decent quality, it wasn't a Spirit Jade, so the amount of spiritual energy it contained was limited. Being able to craft low-grade amulets with it was already quite good.
After finishing the crafting, Ruxley left the room and called Fafnian over to test the defensive capabilities of the amulets.
Ruxley placed one of the protective amulets around his neck and said to Fafnian, "Attack me with all your strength now, don't hold back!"
Fafnian nodded, his eyes narrowing as his body tensed up. He threw a punch with full force.
Whoosh!
The sound of a sharp air blast followed as Fafnian's fist, like a cannonball, shot toward Ruxley with a thunderous roar.
His fist moved so quickly that it left a faint white trail in the air.
Despite the powerful blow coming at him, Ruxley stood still, his face calm and unmoved.
Buzz!
Just as Fafnian's punch was about to land on Ruxley, a faint white light shot out from the jade amulet around Ruxley's neck, forming a circular shield around his body.
When Fafnian's fist struck the shield, it merely caused a small ripple on the surface, failing to break through.
Instead, Fafnian was sent flying backward by the recoil, taking seven or eight steps before finally stopping.
"Such strong defense!"
Fafnian held his wrist, his eyes filled with shock.
He felt as though his punch had hit a solid wall, and even his wrist tingled from the impact.
"The defense is quite impressive!"
Ruxley nodded in satisfaction.
Although Fafnian hadn't broken through to the War God level, his true combat power was on par with that of an average War God.
For the protective jade amulet to withstand Fafnian's full-strength attack was already quite remarkable.
Ruxley checked the amulet around his neck and noticed that its energy had been depleted by a third.
It seemed that the amulet could only withstand three attacks from a War God-level opponent before becoming completely unusable.
Ruxley was still very satisfied with this result.
With these jade amulets, Carmelia and Sherise would have an additional layer of security.
That evening, Ruxley personally handed the three protective amulets to Carmelia, Sherise, and Deja, instructing them never to take them off, no matter what happened.
The three of them naturally followed Ruxley's advice without question.
Besides, the jade amulets were quite beautiful; wearing them was just like wearing jewelry.
The next morning, after a night of cultivation, Ruxley dropped Carmelia off at school before heading to the renowned Kyushu Hotel in Shiphay City.
Kyushu Hotel was one of the city's most famous five-star hotels, with over twenty years of history.
Today, the Olympus Auction House was hosting an auction there.
After showing the invitation letter that Lixen had given them, Ruxley and Fafnian were able to enter the hotel smoothly.
Unlike typical high-end hotels, Kyushu Hotel felt more like a private club. Its architecture blended traditional and modern styles, creating a unique ambiance.
When Ruxley arrived at the banquet hall, many people were already there, gathering in small groups, drinking, and chatting. The men were in sharp suits, and the women were dressed in glamorous outfits—clearly, these were the elites and influential figures of Shiphay City's upper class.
Seeing that there was still time before the auction began, Ruxley and Fafnian found a seat in the banquet hall. They sampled the fine food while Ruxley casually played on his phone.
Although Ruxley was keeping a low profile, his handsome features and extraordinary aura still caught the attention of some of the women in the hall.
A pretty woman holding a wine glass walked over to Ruxley, looking at him with interest. "Hey, handsome, what's your name? I don't think I've seen you before."
The woman was Odhra Bruno, a famous socialite in Shiphay City's upper circles.
She was from the prestigious Bruno family, known for her beauty and strong social skills. She was familiar with almost every prominent young talent in Shiphay City.
Ruxley glanced at Odhra and responded indifferently, "Sorry, I don't like being disturbed."
With that, he returned his attention to his phone, completely ignoring her.
Odhra stood there, momentarily stunned.
In all her time in Shiphay City, she had never been so blatantly ignored.
She was, after all, a well-known beauty, and countless young men had tried to pursue her.
But Ruxley had rejected her without a second thought.
Was this guy even a man?
A young man not far away saw what had happened and immediately walked over, glaring at Ruxley. "Hey, brat, Ms. Bruno is talking to you. That's a compliment! And you dare to ignore her? You must not know how to appreciate kindness!"
The young man was Arden Bennett, the eldest son of the Bennett family, and had long had a crush on Odhra.
Seeing Ruxley dare to dismiss her, Arden seized the opportunity to step in and show off in front of Odhra.
Ruxley looked at the sudden arrival of Arden and shook his head, exasperated.
All he wanted was to eat quietly, yet people kept trying to provoke him.
"Get lost!"
Ruxley didn't even bother dealing with someone as foolish as Arden. He simply stood up and walked away.
Arden was furious. How dare Ruxley insult him like this in front of Odhra? He felt utterly humiliated.
Reaching out to grab Ruxley's arm, Arden cursed, "You piece of trash! How dare you insult me? Who said you could leave? You—"
Before he could finish, his hand was intercepted by Fafnian, who was standing beside Ruxley.
"You have a foul mouth, so you deserve this."
Fafnian's eyes flashed coldly as he swung his right hand.
Smack!
A crisp sound echoed through the hall as Fafnian slapped Arden, sending him flying into a nearby glass table, shattering it to pieces.
In an instant, the entire banquet hall fell silent.
