Fafnian's slap was full of force, holding nothing back.
"Pfft!"
Arden coughed up a mouthful of blood as almost all of his teeth were shattered by Fafnian's blow. His face swelled up to the size of a pig's head, becoming completely unrecognizable.
The surrounding crowd watched this scene in shock, their eyes darting to Ruxley and Fafnian, filled with awe and disbelief.
Who were these two?
How dare they cause such a scene at the Kyushu Hotel.
Did they have a death wish?
Odhra's mind was also blank at that moment. She never expected Ruxley and his companion to resort to violence directly.
Such audacity.
The disturbance in the banquet hall soon drew the attention of the hotel's security team. Within moments, seven or eight fully armed guards arrived at the scene.
The head of security, upon seeing Arden's miserable condition, immediately paled.
He drew the baton from his waist and yelled at Ruxley and Fafnian, "You two! Get on the ground with your hands behind your head, or don't blame me for what happens next!"
Ruxley, however, paid no attention to the security head's warning. He calmly walked over to a table, picked up a glass of red wine, sat on a sofa with his legs crossed, and gently swirled the wine in his hand.
Seeing this, the surrounding guests were at a loss for words.
Who did this guy think he was?
At a time like this, he still had the leisure to drink wine?
Was he really not afraid of death?
A cold glint flashed in the security head's eyes when he saw that Ruxley didn't take him seriously at all.
"You brat! You've got some nerve causing trouble in the Kyushu Hotel!"
Just as he was about to give the order to detain Ruxley and Fafnian, a man in his early thirties, face stern, walked over.
The man was dressed sharply in a suit. With slicked-back hair and gold-rimmed glasses, he carried an air of arrogance between his brows.
The crowd immediately stiffened upon seeing him.
This suited man was none other than Elowen Bourbon, the eldest son of the Bourbon family, the true owners of the Kyushu Hotel.
The Bourbon family was a prestigious family in Shiphay City, far stronger than the Bennett family, and the hotel was one of their many assets.
Moreover, Arden was Elowen's cousin.
"What's going on here?"
Elowen asked coldly, his hands in his pockets.
"Mr. Bourbon, Mr Bennett was just beaten up!"
The head of security quickly reported.
Elowen's gaze fell on the blood-covered Arden on the floor, and his pupils suddenly contracted.
He hurried over, helping Arden up as he asked with concern, "Arden, are you alright? Who did this to you?"
Upon seeing Elowen, Arden felt like he had grasped a lifeline. Pointing at Ruxley, he cried out in grievance, "Elowen, it was that bastard! He ordered his lackey to beat me like this! You must avenge me! I want him to have no place to bury his body!"
Arden's face twisted in rage. Never in his life had he been beaten like this before.
He was determined to make Ruxley pay in blood.
Elowen's expression darkened as he turned in the direction Arden pointed, saying coldly, "Who the hell has the guts to touch my family? Do they not value their lives?"
His voice was ice-cold, brimming with fury.
He had grown up with Arden, and their relationship was as close as that of brothers.
For someone to dare beat Arden on his turf—it was simply courting death.
"Hey, bastard, are you—"
Elowen's eyes locked on Ruxley, and just as he was about to curse him out, he saw Ruxley's face clearly. His words caught in his throat.
"It... it's you!"
Elowen couldn't help but take a step back, his eyes filled with terror as if he had seen something truly horrifying.
Arden, standing beside Elowen, still pointing at Ruxley, spat out venomously, "Elowen, it's him! This punk just hit me. You have to help me kill him!"
Then, looking at Ruxley with a malicious grin, he added, "You brat, how dare you lay a hand on me? Today, I'll make sure you learn what true regret feels like!"
But before he could finish speaking, Elowen suddenly turned around and slapped Arden across the face, knocking him to the ground.
"Shut up!"
Everyone was stunned as if frozen in place.
No one expected that not only would Elowen not stand up for Arden, but he would actually slap him in the face.
What was going on?
Had he lost his mind?
Arden's mind was blank, too. He held his face, looking at Elowen in disbelief, and said with a pitiful expression, "Elowen, why did you hit me?"
"I hit you because you're an idiot! Do you think you can afford to provoke this gentleman?"
Elowen glared at Arden and scolded him harshly.
Then he quickly walked over to Ruxley, bent over slightly, and respectfully said, "Sir, I didn't expect to see you here. It's truly an honor for the Kyushu Hotel!"
Elowen's face was full of smiles, as obsequious as could be.
At that moment, everyone around was stunned, their jaws practically hitting the floor. They couldn't believe their eyes.
Elowen was the eldest son of the Bourbon family.
Who exactly was Ruxley to make Elowen act so servile?
Could he be a young master from one of the major families in the Saultrouge Kingdom?
"No... this can't be possible!"
Odhra stared intently at Ruxley, her body trembling slightly, her beautiful eyes full of shock and confusion.
She was an old acquaintance of Elowen's and knew well that he was a proud man. With his head held high, he never took anyone seriously.
Yet here he was, showing utmost humility before Ruxley as if terrified of offending him.
It was simply unbelievable.
Could Ruxley have some terrifying background?
At this moment, Elowen himself was inwardly complaining about his misfortune.
He didn't want to be so deferential, but he had no choice.
Just yesterday, he was at the Imperial Boutique for a stone-betting event and witnessed Ruxley holding an Obsidian Gold Card, as well as the conflict between him and Voragoshe.
According to the rumors, after the stone-betting event ended, Voragoshe had brought a whole squad of fighters from the Capet family to find trouble with Ruxley. However, not only did Voragoshe fail to regain his pride, but he also ended up having one of his arms broken by Ruxley.
And who was Voragoshe?
He was the eldest son of the Capet family and a relative of the prestigious Savoy family from the capital.
His status and position were leagues above Elowen's own.
Ruxley didn't even show mercy to such a powerful scion. One could only imagine the force backing him.
Even if Elowen were given a hundred more lives, he would never dare provoke Ruxley.
