What?
Apologize?
At that moment, not only was Vulson stunned, but everyone in the banquet hall was equally dumbfounded.
No one could have imagined in their wildest dreams that the woman in red would actually make Vulson apologize to that young man.
How could this be possible?
But what shocked them even more was what happened next.
After slapping Vulson, the woman in red hurriedly walked over to Ruxley, bowed deeply, and with a face full of regret, said, "Sir, I apologize. It's my fault for not disciplining him properly, causing this fool to offend you. Please, be magnanimous and don't hold it against him. I sincerely apologize on his behalf."
After speaking, she bowed again to Ruxley; her face was filled with remorse.
This woman in red was none other than Earla Heulos, who had encountered Ruxley at the airport earlier that afternoon.
At this moment, Earla was filled with anxiety and fear.
She never imagined that she would meet Ruxley again under such circumstances.
Recalling the terrifying look in Ruxley's eyes from before, Earla couldn't help but shiver, and her heart was gripped by overwhelming panic.
Vulson and the others had no idea how terrifying Ruxley was, but she knew all too well.
Ruxley was someone whom even powerful figures like Theoleon would greet with utmost respect.
Just one glance from him had frozen her in fear for what felt like an eternity.
She didn't need to think twice to know that he was an extraordinary figure.
If they had offended Ruxley, not only would Vulson be doomed, but the entire Heulos family could be wiped out in an instant.
Seeing Earla's respectful demeanor, the entire banquet hall fell into a dead silence, an eerie quiet that was almost suffocating.
No one could have imagined that things would take such a dramatic turn.
The president of the Heulos Group and a renowned female powerhouse in Eastern City was actually taking the initiative to bow and apologize to a young man.
This was simply unbelievable.
Not just them, Vulson was also dumbfounded, unable to believe what was happening.
He knew his sister well. Earla was an extremely proud person. Even when facing the heads of major families from Sheyton Province, she would never bow down easily.
But today, Earla was actually taking the initiative to bow and apologize to Ruxley, and her attitude was so respectful.
This was like something out of a fantasy.
In his whole life, he had never seen Earla like this.
"He's your brother?"
Ruxley glanced at Earla with a cold expression, somewhat surprised.
He hadn't expected to encounter Earla twice in one day.
Earla shivered and quickly nodded, "Yes! Please, sir, have mercy and spare my brother's life. I will be eternally grateful!"
Looking at Earla's pleading face, Ruxley coldly said, "Tomorrow morning, have your father personally come to apologize to me. Remember, there is only one chance. If you miss it, don't blame me!”
With that, Ruxley turned and walked back toward the banquet hall.
Hearing Ruxley's words, everyone present was stunned, unable to believe their ears.
What did they just hear?
Ruxley was asking Earla's father to personally come and apologize to him.
This was too outrageous.
After all, Earla's father was the head of the Heulos family.
He was one of the most powerful figures in Eastern City.
Yet, facing Ruxley's demand, Earla didn't get angry. Instead, she bowed with gratitude and said, "Thank you, sir, for your mercy! Tomorrow morning, I will make sure my father personally comes to apologize to you!"
With that, Earla grabbed the bewildered Vulson. Amidst everyone's shocked gazes, she quickly left the Eastern International Hotel ...
By the time Ruxley arrived at the banquet hall, Redlyn's birthday party had already started.
The hall was filled with guests dressed in elegant attire, grouped together in threes and fives, drinking and chatting. The atmosphere was very lively.
Ruxley casually picked up a glass of red wine, sipping it while searching the hall for Sherise.
Soon, a woman in white appeared in his line of sight.
She was tall and strikingly beautiful, with long, black hair cascading down her shoulders and a complexion as smooth as jade, like a fairy stepping out of a painting—exquisite and captivating.
She was exactly who Ruxley was looking for: Sherise Potter.
At that moment, Sherise was glaring angrily at a man in black, her face filled with exhaustion.
"Redlyn, release my mother immediately. If anything happens to her, I will never forgive you!"
"Redlyn, how can you target an elderly woman nearing sixty? Are you even human?"
Beside Sherise, a tall woman was also angrily scolding.
Her appearance resembled Sherise's to some extent. She was Sherise's cousin, Deja Potter.
Facing the anger and accusations of the Potter sisters, Redlyn Fox, the host of tonight's birthday party, remained unfazed.
He looked at Sherise with a cold smile and said, "I already told you, if you agree to be my woman, I'll release your mother. Otherwise, you'll never see her again!"
"Oh, and by the way..."
A sinister smile appeared on Redlyn's face as he added, "Let me remind you, your mother's condition isn't good. If you don't make a decision soon, she might not last much longer!"
Hearing Redlyn's words, Sherise clenched her fists tightly, trembling with rage.
At that moment, she wanted nothing more than to punch Redlyn in the face and kill the heartless beast.
But the thought of her mother still being in his hands filled her with a deep sense of helplessness.
"Alright, I agree!"
Sherise stared fixedly at Redlyn, struggling for a moment before gritting her teeth and speaking.
"Sherise, are you crazy? If you agree to this scum's demand, your whole life will be ruined!" Deja was shocked and said urgently.
"I have no other choice! You've seen the video Redlyn sent. Mom is already beaten and bruised by those scumbags. If this drags on, they'll surely take more drastic measures. I can't stand to see Mom suffer any longer!"
Sherise said. Her eyes were red and filled with despair.
"But…"
Deja wanted to say more, but she was stopped by Sherise's outstretched hand.
"Enough, Deja. I've made my decision. There's no need for further discussion!”
Wiping away the tears from her face, Sherise coldly said to Redlyn, "Redlyn, as long as you release my mother, I'll agree to your terms!”
No matter what, she couldn't let her mother suffer any longer.
Seeing that Sherise had finally yielded, Redlyn's face showed a hint of satisfaction. He said arrogantly, "If only you had agreed sooner, your mother wouldn't have had to suffer so much!"
With that, Redlyn greedily eyed Sherise's perfect figure and reached out toward her hand.
However, just as his hand was about to touch Sherise, a cold voice suddenly came from the side.
"Her hand is not something the likes of you can touch!”
As soon as the words were spoken, Redlyn felt a sharp pain on his cheek. He was slapped away and crashed heavily into a nearby table
