Robert was in a daze for a while when Joseph stood up and took his suit aside. Then he left the room.
......
Although May had eaten antipyretic, she felt uncomfortable when she came out of Guanding Club. So she went back to the reception room of the hall and sat there to have a rest.
She touched her forehead and felt her body temperature was higher, so she wanted to rest for a while before leaving. At this point, some people entered the Guanding Club.
May recognized the man in the grey suit among them at first sight.
She didn't anticipate that Sean would be here with his friends.
They were all Guanding Club regulars apparently, each holding a hot woman. However, the girl in Sean's arms, wearing a white dress and light makeup, leaned against him.
May's heart ached, and she got up at once, but she was noticed by one of them before she could turn round.
That man said something to Sean. Sean's face changed and walked toward May with a scowling look on his face.
May picked up the handbag on the couch and tried to leave Guanding Club on the other side. At this moment, her arm was suddenly pulled from behind.
"What are you doing here?"
Sean was behind her.
His voice was cold, and May felt the pain of his grasp on her hand.
She turned and looked at the woman in white who was not far away and looked at them aggrieved. It looked as if May was the third person who broke up their marriage. May smiled, "I'll do what you come here for."
Sean was annoyed, "you told me you have some stuff to do tonight, but actually, you are playing here?"
“Playing?” May laughed but wanted to cry. "You can come here to enjoy why I can't?"
"Sean, why can you change women every day? But I have to be faithful to our marriage? Do you ever think about my feelings when you go out with other women?"
Because Carol's words touched her, May could not control her emotions. May waited for him for two years, but he still looked at her with distaste, which made her despair.
Sean thought she was jealous of the woman in his arms. His face softened a little, but his voice remained stiff. "That woman... I don't know her at all. It's just for fun."
"Whatever..."
May's brain was aching and dizzy, and her heart sank for a moment.
She shook him off.
She felt dizzy and almost fell. Sean held her up and watched her abnormal blush, frowning. "Do you have a fever? Let me take you home."
"Leave me alone!"
Sean suppressed his anger. "May, Don't overdo it."
May shook Sean's hand off again. "I'm such an unreasonable woman! Go and comfort your woman. She was waiting for you!"
The despair in May's eyes pierced Sean. He suddenly felt his breath tighten. He tried to help her but heard her cell phone ring.
May stopped looking at him, took out her cell phone, and answered.
"Hello?"
Sean watched her pick up the bag and leave the Guanding Club.
...
"Ms. Song, this is Leo, the secretary of Mr. Huo. We have met before."
At the other end of the phone line, Leo looked nervous under Joseph's faint gaze, pretending to be anxious when he talked with May.
"Leo, is there something wrong?" May asked.
It was a chilly night, and she was walking top-heavy toward the parking lot. She got a call from Joseph's secretary, thinking it was about the Sunny Bay project.
