Chapter 15 Diamond in the Rough

She was optimistic. Ryan Du would pile herbs secretly gathered in the middle of the night, put it in the pot and mashed it with a stone. He’d carefully apply it on her scar. The cold mashed herbs would touch her skin and her scar would sting before soothing. “I’m sorry. Did you hit you too hard?” every time he beat her, he would always feel guilty. “It’s nothing.” She didn’t hurt that much, only the scar looked terrible. She was pretty much like a thunderous rain. At first, his beating was painful for her. It would hurt her so much that she would curl into the ball and writhed at night. Later, Ryan Du learned how to beat people without causing them pain or danger to their lives. He was considerate. It was a pit that he was always so clever. He spared her from being targeted by her bullied. He saved her a lot of suffering and humiliation. Even so, five years were extremely bitter for her. At least, she was still alive, though survival made her nothing but miserable. Around 7 o’clock, Ethan Mo appeared. He was dressed in all black matching his gloomy face. He sipped his lips and came in to check on her. He stayed in the room for less than a minute. After seeing her gaunt and sickly face, he took her away. Belle Ye followed him to the underground city club in panic. Fortunately, the club was closed during the day and opened at night. That way, she didn’t attract much attention except for the doorman who stood by the door and looked at her a few times. Ethan Mo went straight to one of the offices. After entering the office, he asked Barry Mo to fetch someone for him. Belle Ye stood with her head hung low until someone knocked at the door. Then, a beautiful figure came in the room. Her hourglass body was swaying gently. That sexy lady was Echo Xu. “Good morning, Mr. Mo.” her casual bearing turned serious, but elegant. Her voice was charming. Even Belle Ye was attracted. Ethan He leaned against the long sofa. He crossed his legs gracefully. His right hand was resting on sofa and his left one skillfully lighted the cigarette. He smoked it good and breathed the smoke. He looked casual, but domineering woman Echo Xu dared not acting up in front of him. Echo Xu didn’t bat an eye on Belle Ye. She bowed 90 degrees sharp to Ethan Mo and asked, “Mr. Mo, is there anything I can help you with?” When she bowed, her cleavage was showing. Ethan He raised his chin to where Belle Ye was standing, “this woman will stay here with you. If you need anything, you can ask her to do it. She is at kneeling down and begging for mercy. She will handle difficult guests of the club. Our customer Mr. Qiu for example.” Belle Ye looked up at him and her shoulders started to tremble violently. She couldn’t believe he did this to her. Echo Xu was just as shocked that Belle Ye was to serve Mr. Qiu. She wanted to say no, but once she met his cold eyes, she couldn’t say a word. It was useless to kneel and begged for mercy. As he was approaching the door, Belle Ye suddenly asked in a low voice, “Mr. Mo, are you taking in fleeing criminals?” He didn’t reply. She hooked her lips and said, “Don’t you think that I escaped prison and hid for five years?”
