Belle Ye stayed in the hotel all day and didn’t go out. She even forgot to have her meals. After Levi Song sent her here, he immediately left. During the summer nights, the asphalt road that had been exposed to the sun all day was still burning with hot air. She stood at the balcony and looked at the night skyline below. Her heart was so anxious that it was difficult for her to calm down. This time, the doorbell rang. Then, there was a beeping sound outside. Her shoulder shrank. She looked around without opening the door. Next, the person outside knocked the door and rang the bell thrice. She thought that it was Levi Song. She hesitated for a long time and decided to open the door. It was Levi Song. “Mr. Song, what are you doing here?” “I thought you were gone.” Belle Ye was shocked. Her cheek felt like burning, but she made a way for him. Levi Song came in. he looked around the room and saw nothing had changed. He sniffed and smelled nothing but the plaster of the room. The double bed and the quilt on it was still neatly folded. Belle Ye didn’t expect him to come. She didn’t know what to say. They looked at each other in the awkward silence. Levi Song cleared his throat, “Have you eaten dinner?” “……” she was silent. She knew that it was impolite to answer like this, so she replied faintly, “Not yet.” “Okay. I haven’t eaten as well. You’re still injured, so I’ll order takeaway.” Levi Song was lying. This time, the food could be an icebreaker for both of them. Levi Song didn’t know why he cared so much about this woman. However, they were a bit uncomfortable. Levi Song took the initiative to ask about her injury. He asked a few questions only to be answered with a low voice and mostly short responses like ‘oh’ and ‘okay’. “Next time, do not carelessly make a public appearance with a guest.” Belle Ye smiled though her heart was hurt, “you’re so funny, Mr. Song. I’m a hostess. If the guest wants it then I should give it. I have no option to say no.” She put her dignity aside and safety first. Levi Song’s face was complicated, “There are all kinds of people in this circle including Lewis Qiu.” “I think I can handle it.” she tried to be brave. “Last time, if Lewis Qiu didn’t drink and you didn’t catch cold, what would happen?” “I have all the opportunities.
