It was eight in the morning, Water Villa, Golden City.
When Philip Lin returned home, he felt something abnormal.
Philip's wife, Susan Mu, lived in the villa area of the rich, while Philip rented a small house and set up a stall outside. Philip hadn't been home for half a year. There was a lot of discord between them, for his beautiful president's wife thought that he was an unambitious good-for-nothing, but she didn't know that when Philip was abroad, he was a devil who nobody dared to offend.
"Sir, the master and madam are waiting for you." Auntie Gail, who had opened the door for Philip, said respectfully to him.
Auntie Gail was the nanny of Philip's wife, Susan Mu. She had been staying there to serve Mu's families for so many years.
Philip nodded to auntie Gail and went to the living room.
"Sit."
Helga, Mu, Philip's father-in-law, had been keeping his eyes closed. When he heard the footsteps, he opened his eyes and saw it was Philip. Helga raised his head to motion Philip to sit down.
Philip sat down obediently, but his eyes unconsciously glanced at the gorgeous beauty beside his father-in-law. It was Philip's wife, the president of Mu's Group, Susan Mu.
Susan's neck was white and tender. She wore a light brown short sleeve casual blouse, a pair of tight shorts, and the black leather Ferragamo high heels, which made her long and straight legs look more attractive.
A slight makeup was on her delicate face, which made her skin brighter and whiter, full of water.
She was like the fairy from heaven, too pure, beautiful, refined, and noble to profane.
Susan raised her head slightly and coldly looked at Philip. "You're thirty-five minutes late."
Her voice was cold and unemotional as if it was from the palace of the moon.
"I'm your husband, not your subordinate, so how about being late?" Philip couldn't help muttering in his mind. For sure, he couldn't speak like this when his father-in-law was here.
Philip took out a cheap cigarette under Susan's gaze, lighted it, and imprudently looked at Susan's exquisite body.
Though Susan was cold, her face and body were pretty.
Even from Philip's long-term perspective of seeking beauty, he couldn't pick out any flaws. As a mercenary abroad before, Philip had met a lot of beautiful women. He Even had intimate or in-depth exchanges with many, but it was indeed rare for such level of his wife.
But Susan turned her head away and didn't intend to look at Philip anymore.
Though she had been married to Philip for more than half a year, Susan was reluctant to believe that this man was her husband.
At that time, when Helga asked her to marry Philip, Susan was firmly unwilling.
However, Helga threatened to sever the father-daughter relation, forcing her to get the marriage certificate.
After getting married, Susan used to try to accept Philip.
Susan was not the kind of person who was willing to accept the situation. She confidently had tried to change Philip to a qualified husband by her charm and abilities. Still, after more than half a year's marriage, with the deepening of Philip's understanding, Susan was utterly desperate.
Enjoying in smoking, drinking, lustful, and lazy, each kind of quality or behavior that Susan hated was almost all on Philip.
Helga didn't seem to notice the discord between the two. He crossed his legs and looked at Philip directly. "Auntie Gail said that you hadn't been home for more than half a year. What are you doing outside?"
"Sleeping during the day, thinking about life at night, and setting up a stall to earn some living expenses," Philip replied with a smile.
Helga and Philip's father, who had already passed away, were both the elite of a reconnaissance company. Now that he had asked this question, he had probably ordered someone to investigate in private. For sure, Philip didn't need to lie.
Helga nodded without any expressions as if satisfied with Philip's honest attitude. But naturally, this didn't mean that he would forgive that Philip didn't come home at night.
Helga had already known the situation that just a few nights ago, Philip saved a pretty woman and later flirted with the woman in a hotel.
However, Susan's eyes widely opened, and she stared at Philip without blinking. Her delicate face was full of amazement, "stall?"
"God, please send a clap of thunder to kill this bastard!"
Susan rolled her eyes and couldn't help but wail in her mind.
Susan's eyes frostily stared at Philip. She wanted to break Philip's brain and see what was on there.
"Anyway, you are married, so you can't idle around all day anymore." Helga said slowly, "I'm going to leave Golden City for some days. Susan was just a girl, after all. It's too hard for her to support the company alone. As her husband, you should help her. Don't put up any stalls more. Go and work for your wife."
"Father..."
"Dad..."
After Helga said this, Philip panicked while Susan was anxious.
What a joke! How free to set up the stall? It was not in line with Philip's routine to work on time from nine to five.
While Philip didn't want to be an office worker, Susan was reluctant to that, too.
With Philip's nature and identity, if he worked in the company, he wouldn't offer help but cause troubles.
Helga seemed to have expected their reaction in advance. He waved his hand and interrupted the two. "I've decided. Susan, you arrange a position for Philip in the company, and let him work tomorrow."
After that, Helga stood up directly. "I'll catch the plane later so that I won't stay here anymore. You two should be considerate. Now that you're married, just don't think about divorce. You'd better think about making a baby for me."
Helga ignored Philip's and Susan's stunned expressions and left the villa quickly.
Now that Helga ordered that, it couldn't be changed for Philip's going to work in the company.
Just like their marriage, Helga didn't care about their feelings at all but force them to marry.
However, when Philip thought of that, he would live under his frosty wife's eyes in the future, and the not harmonious "husband-wife" relationship between them felt bitter.
Philip was reluctant to live at home was not because he could conveniently find other women when living outside but that his wife didn't want to see him, and he didn't know how to get along with Susan.
This kind of wife was perfect and almost dreamlike.
If Susan was willing to accept Philip, how would Philip rent a house to live outside? He absolutely would stay in bed with her every day.
Philip was reluctant, and Susan was more. She was well-known for the company's strict management, but now she had to open a back door for Philip, who was indeed "ignorant and unskilled," and couldn't refuse.
Susan had not felt this kind of powerless feeling for a long time.
