In the frightened eyes of others, Pearl Chen took the video information about Philip directly back to the Public Security Bureau and then handed the video information to the relevant officers of the criminal investigation department. Then she asked them to collect the relevant details on Philip.
Philip didn’t need to conceal his identity information deliberately.
When Philip was in the army, the troop he served was the top-secret of Country C. Even the Public Security Bureau could only obtain the information before he enlisted.
As for Philip’s experience abroad in recent years, even the Intelligence Service of Country C didn’t have any relevant record.
However, for Pearl, it didn’t matter what kind of experience Philip had had. What she wanted was to find Philip out to vent her hatred.
With Philip’s name and photos, it would be more efficient for Pearl to find Philip.
Naturally, Philip didn’t know that Pearl had already known his name and appearance through the hospital camera. But even if he did, he wouldn’t care about that seriously.
If it weren’t he who made Pearl’s body be exposed in public, which made him so guilty, he wouldn’t have taken care of her even she was a policewoman.
Although Philip didn’t like to cause trouble, it didn’t mean that he was afraid of troubles. If the matter on the day when Old Wang’s shop was smashed could happen again, Philip would still have to do so.
Pearl was the kind of woman who kept a big breast but a tiny brain. For Philip, who was used to speaking with his fist, Pearl’s behaviors on that day were too stupid.
Out of the hospital, Philip took out a cigarette and light it. He called a taxi and rushed to his small rental.
Now that Philip had decided to move to the Water Villa, there would be little chance to go back to the rental in the future, so he needed to pack up some personal belongings.
Regarding Susan’s financial resources, there would be no lack of anything in the Water Villa. Philip didn’t intend to move many. He just needed to bring some clothes that he often wore.
Philip rented an old apartment of the 1990s. Though it was dilapidated, the rent was much cheaper.
A large part of the reason why Philip lived here was that it was quite close to the overpass where he ran his stall. In the words of urban office workers, it was convenient to go to work.
Philip’s room was on the 5th floor. He took out the key and then opened the door. A pungent smell of tobacco and wine came on his face. “Fuck, how could I not find the chaos in my room before?”
Cigarette butts, beer bottles, stinky socks, leftover boxed rice, the degree of the mess here was definitely beyond the ordinary people’s imagination. Philip even doubted whether he had gone to the right room.
Looking back at the house number, Philip confirmed that this was indeed the place he had rented.
This was his illusion. It didn’t mean that the mess in the room was fake. It was that his rental had always been so messy.
Only in the past, Philip used to sleep in the daytime, while at night, he went out to run the stall or went to nightclubs to have fun. He couldn’t have time to clean up his room.
Anyway, he was going to move to the Water Villa. Philip was too lazy to clean up now. He opened the windows to release the smell in the room. He cleaned up some rubbish in the room and then went to the bedroom to pack up his clothes.
Philip had just finished packing his clothes when his old Nokia phone rang.
Philip had no friend in Golden City. There were only three or five people who knew his phone numbers.
Philip thought it was his wife, Susan, who called for abuse. But when he took out his mobile phone and looked at it, he unconsciously smiled and then picked it up.
“Boss, have I disturbed your rest?”
The phone number was foreign, but the voice from the mobile phone was indeed in Country C’s language.
Philip was familiar with this voice, the voice of his side-kick who had followed him for many years.
In these years abroad, Philip was not alone in the battle. Otherwise, he couldn’t grow into the king of mercenaries who could awe the whole mighty underground world.
Around him, there were several buddies who could give their lives to Philip. They worked together to found a famous mercenary organization in the underground world, The Hell of Judgement.
Now, Philip was called by The Blood, one of the four main agents of The Hell of Judgement. Philip was the founder and the unique soul of it.
Philip sat back on the bed and said casually. “If you don’t want to disturb my rest, you’d better speak quickly. I’m taking a house-moving.”
“Moving? Boss, you are married, aren’t you? Is there any conflict between you and my sister-in-law?”
“On the contrary, I want to move back to live with your sister-in-law.”
“I want to see how beautiful my sister-in-law is that she can make you go back to Country C and get married willingly.”
Philip was speechless. If The Blood were standing in front of him, Philip would slap him to make him sober.
“Fuck, which eye have you seen that I am willing to?”
Of course, Philip could only say this in his mind. Even if they are side-kick, Philip had no face to tell The Blood such thing. If those buddies had known that he had been married for more than half a year but hadn’t even touched his wife’s hand for once, the glorious impression that he had made on them would be gone.
Philip didn’t want to talk this with The Blood. “Speak if you have something fucking. Don’t test my patience.”
“It’s this, boss. Things in Country A have almost been settled. The rest are small fish who can’t make any big waves. I’ve put in some people in the parliament. As long as those members don’t die, no one can violate our interests.”
The Blood found Philip’s impatience as well, so he went straight to the subject.
Philip nodded and looked a little serious. “Fine. Don’t be careless. If there’s nothing else, it’s OK.”
The sphere of influence of The Hell of Judgement was mainly in Africa and Europe. The situation in South America was complicated, and the impact of The Hell of Judgement was limited.
However, because South America was rich in various raw materials, the political situation between countries was not stable, so mercenaries’ tasks were so many. When Philip returned to Country C, The Blood and another agent, The Butcher, had taken some subordinates to South America to expand their territory.
Now that The Blood reported Philip for success, it indicated that they had stood firm in South America. There were many drug lords and arms dealers in South America, so small terrorist attacks were quite frequent. In just a few months, The Blood could lead the organization to stand firm there, which showed his excellent abilities and skills.
The Blood’s voice on the mobile phone seemed to stutter. “Boss, there’s another thing, I don’t know how to tell you.”
“When do you become such fussy? Speak in a hurry!” Philip said with some displeasure.
“It’s about The Butcher. Seeing that South America’s situation is stable, the bastard told me that he wanted to go out and hang around. I thought he wanted to hang out in South America, so I didn’t care much. Today, when I was looking for him, I found out that the bastard had returned to Country C.”
“Have you ever told him that I’m in Golden City?”
“No, but he should be able to guess.”
Philip threw the cheap cigarette butts in his hand away and said with helplessness. “OK, I know. Hang up if there is nothing else.”
“Boss...”
“What else again?”
“Could I go back, too?”
“Why?”
“I’m tired of playing foreign women.”
Philip hung up the mobile phone immediately, for he was afraid that he couldn’t help flying to South America overnight to beat up The Blood.
Philip’s return had little impact on Golden City. After all, he came back with a mission to get married. However, The Butcher was different. For them, killing was a common practice, and their hands were all covered with blood.
In Africa, Europe, and other places, with the strength of The Hell of Judgement, they could run rampant and even start small-scale wars. But unlike other countries, killing people casually in Country C was likely to challenge the dignity of the police. Once things got worse, the armed police and the military would also move.
With The Butcher’s temperament, it was likely that he would make a mess this time, which was also the cause of Philip’s helplessness.
People would cross the bridge when he came to it. Philip shook his head and didn’t think about it anymore. Since The Butcher had sneaked back, Philip couldn’t get him away directly.
When that bastard returned, Philip must have to give him some warning.
Philip got up and went to the fridge to take a bottle of strong drink. He unscrewed the lid and went to the balcony. “The Cub, The Butcher’s son of a bitch is going back home. You must miss him very much.”
Now, Philip’s expression seemed dignified, and his face was covered with a little more sorrow, which made him look so bleak.
Philip was gulping the strong drink, as if the thing poured into his mouth was not the strong drink but water.
Only when a man was silent alone could he reveal his sorrow from the bottom of his heart.
