"Susan, what a big 'surprise' you give me!"
A sixty-year-old man sitting on the sofa in the reception area said in a deep voice after Susan Mu walked into her office,
"Really? It seems that you're coming to extend your thanks", says Susan.
Annoyed by Philip Lin, Susan had no mood to talk gently now.
Even though Philip always made Susan too mad to get any words out, don't hold the opinion that Susan was terrible at arguing with others. On the contrary, she was an expert in negotiation, especially when confronted with other people.
She could not say something when faced with Philip because the latter always didn't speak like a normal person. He was too shameless and cheeky.
By the way, Susan was a high-quality talent from an advantaged background. Understandably, she could not get the upper hand when faced with Philip, who was such a cheeky person.
Indeed, there was a lot of illegal trader in business, but everyone worked to keep a kind image on the surface. Susan never felt frightened in the world of business. Rarely had she given in?
Like this moment, she used only one sentence to make Sean Han speechless. Sean expected to give her a hard time. But Susan replied subtly, making Sean fall into silence.
Sean didn't expect this situation, so his face changed immediately. He took a deep breath and said, "You must be kidding. My Miller is still in hospital after being punched in your company. As his father, I see no "surprise." Stop making fun of me."
"Where does that come from? You are my senior. Certainly, I respect you from the bottom of my heart. How dare I make fun of you."
Susan said humbly, to show her respect. After all, Sean had contributed to Mu Group a great deal, and besides, he was elders.
Although Susan hated Sean and others, taking advantage of their seniority, she still needed to be polite and respectful.
Sean changed his tone and said, "I believe you know the reason why I come here. Let's come straight to the point. You have to fire the one beating Miller. He already violated corporate regulations. What's wrong with the HR department. Such a person should never be employed at the very beginning."
He claimed Philip ignoring the regulations, but didn't mention his son breaking into the General Affairs Department and pushing Rain. What a cunning man! As Susan had known the whole story from Vivian Ling, she wouldn't be tricked by him.
"This matter has nothing to do with the HR department. It's..." (being interrupted by Sean)
"How can you say that? The personnel department is responsible for the appointment of the entire company. It is a breach of duty to hire such a jerk. I think maybe it is time to bring some changes to the personnel department."
With greatly tidy hair and deep-set eyes, Sean said calmly, showing absolute majesty.
However, Susan didn't fear. Frowning slightly, she said," It is my order to hire Philip, nothing to do with the HR department. You can bring that up in the next board meeting if you are unsatisfied with the personnel department. By the way, I am delighted with their work in recent months."
Despite being respectful of his seniority, Susan wouldn't let him say something terrible about the personnel department.
Hearing her remarks, Sean looked a little surprised.
On the surface, Susan worked as the president of Muce Group. Take a deeper look, only two departments was indeed under her management, that was the personnel department and the General Affairs Department.
Nearly half of the departments were not controlled by this woman, such as the Public Relations Department, the Security Department, and the Marketing Department. After Helga Mu retired from the front line, these were secretly charged by Sean and other directors of the board.
This situation was easy to see, even for Muce Group. No one treated money as a burden.
When Helga was in power, in light of his abilities, no one dared to engage in any crooked affairs. But after Susan succeeded Helga as the president of the Muce Group, Sean and his counterparts started planning secretly to replace Susan.
What's unexpected to them was that Susan was highly outstanding and excellent; she significantly improved the company's performance in these two years. Sean had no excuse to criticize.
At this point, Sean finally decided to trouble the personnel department with the excuse of Miller's incident. Frankly, that did take him deep consideration to make this move.
However, he did not expect that Philip was not employed by the HR department, but by Susan.
Sean was very sly and realized the fact quickly. Then he looked directly at Susan and said, "Well, now I think the point is Philip entered our company without any assessment."
Susan nodded without saying any words.
Sean was amazed. After Susan took charge of Muce Group, she had rectified the standard of the HR department. Since then, almost no one could enter the company through relations, as evidenced by Miller.
To get Miller into the Muce Group, Sean even came to Susan personally, but Susan refused directly.
But now she did something banned by herself. Without Susan's confirmation, Sean would never believe in this.
Sean didn't let go of such an opportunity to trouble Susan. After all, the reason why Sean blamed the personnel department before was to create difficulties.
"If I remember correctly, on the board meeting, you said it personally that no one is allowed to enter Muce without assessment of the HR department. But now you told me this person is allowed by you alone. I need a reasonable explanation. Otherwise, I am afraid I can't face other directors."
Susan lifted her head slightly, took a sip of coffee, and said coldly, "Helga also agrees this. Perhaps you can have a word with him."
Although Helga had retired from the front line, he was still the chairman of the Muce Group.
Sean and others had no nerve to put obstacles on Susan's way all the time. Part of that was due to Helga.
