Shell and Jeannie were extremely angry.
No one likes to be cheated, especially by someone they care about.
"Please give me an explanation," Jeannie said and stared at Hayes. She was the angriest one.
"Jeannie, listen to me, I love you," Hayes said and looked at Jeannie. He was regretful and afraid.
"You get out of here—you liar. I will not fell in love with a liar," Jeannie yelled at him and pointed out her door.
"I am sorry, Jeannie," Hayes said. His face turned to as red as pig liver, and he was full of shame.
"Get out," Jeannie said without hesitation.
Hayes didn't move, and Shell pushed him out.
The family then was in silence.
"Mom, it wasn't Hayes who helped us, then who helped us without telling us?" Jayne said after a while and broke the silence.
Shell shook her head and was confused too.
They didn't have a close relationship with anyone in a high position and couldn't figure out who was helping them.
"Is it possible for someone in a high position to fell in love with you and helped us secretly?" Shell said suddenly. She thought of Jeannie's joke.
"How could this possible? Chase and I are good, and I don't know any person in a high position," Jayne said and shook her head. She was suspicious.
Jeannie said suddenly, "I know the person who knows what's going on.”
"Who," others asked and looked at her.
Jeannie explained, "my brother-in-law. I remember that day at the hospital he implied that Hayes didn't help mom get the order from Josh Group. Moreover, he also said just now that Hayes didn't help and asked Hayes to call his father to corroborate. I just didn't realize that Hayes and his father are so hypercritical and shameless."
Doug didn't know what happened before so he kept silent.
Shell and Jayne nodded. According to what Chase did before, he must know who was helping them.
"Jayne, please ask Chase who helped us and remember to say thanks," Shell looked at Jayne and said.
"Ok," Jayne replied and nodded. She would ask Chase even if Shell didn't say.
After dinner, Jayne left. Jeannie asked her mother after Jayne left, "mom, do you think the person who helped us is Chase?"
"Are you kidding? He is just a security guard. If he is capable like this, he will find another job," Shell said.
"No, I mean, he could ask the boss of Sin Tin Mall for help. They are friends. The boss even gave him a supreme card. If he asked, I think the boss won't refuse," Jeannie said.
"Maybe you are right. Let's see what your sister would say after asking him if he asked the boss for help. I take back what I said before," Shell said hesitantly.
If Chase had a close relationship with the boss, she wouldn't make trouble for him like before.
After Hayes came back home, Jarrod asked him urgently, "how is it going? Did they forgive you?"
Hayes shook his head, looking depressed.
"How dare you come back if they didn't forgive you. You are a piece of shit. You want us to go bankrupt and go to jail?"
Jarrod growled. He believed that he would be punished if Shell didn't forgive him.
Hayes thrilled and felt afraid.
"Dad, they didn't accept my apology and kicked me out," Hayes said weakly.
"You bastard, why didn't you tell the truth when they doubted you. If you didn't call me, the situation could have been changed. Now we have to wait to be forgiven, or our supermarket will go bankrupt," Jarrod barked and couldn't stop but slapped Hayes. He was pissed off.
If Jarrod knew things would end like this, he wouldn't help his son lie.
He wanted to break his son's leg.
The slap made Hayes staggered, and his face swallowed. That was a hard slap.
"Dad, why don't you ask Chase for help? He was the person that held a suspicious attitude toward me," Hayes said and touched his face.
"Who is Chase?" Jarrod asked deeply.
"He is Jayne's husband and the security of Duncan Electronics. We can give him some benefits and asked him to persuade his wife. As long as his wife forgives us, we can ask her to help us intercede Shell later. It might work," Hayes said.
Jarrod kept silent for a little while and nodded, saying, "if Shell doesn't forgive us, I will spare a shelf to sell her company's medicine."
Hayes relieved after hearing what Jarrod said.
After a long period of interaction with Shell, Hayes knew she is a person who worships money. As long as Jarrod gave her an exclusive shelf, he believed she would agree.
Hayes said, "I will go talk to Chase tomorrow."
Jarrod said deeply, "If you messed up, I would break your legs."
Jayne came back home and felt sorry when she saw Chase and Cassie were having dinner.
She walked to Chase and sat beside him, saying with a light sound, "I want to apologize to you for what my mom said to you today. She has a bad temper, and I couldn't do anything about that."
Jayne didn't explain more because she thought if Chase were successful, her mother wouldn't treat him like that.
However, her mom kicked Chase out, so she thought it was necessary to apologize to him.
"It's ok. I don't like to go to her house anyway," Chase said and smiled.
Jayne signed and believed that Chase would never go to her mother's house anymore. She knew what kind of person Chase is.
"By the way, I have something to ask you. How did you know that Hayes was not the person who helped us secretly?" Jayne asked.
"You want to know the truth?" Chase raised his head and smiled at Jayne.
"Yeah, I want to know," Jayne said and flashed him.
"The truth is that I was the person…" Chase hesitated for a moment and continued, "I was the person who helped you secretly."
