"Chase, are you going to ask Phil Du to do things again?" after the meal, Josh Xu asked. He was confused about their previous conversations.
"I intended to do so before. But now I changed my mind, "Chase smiled.
Phil made this decision for his woman. Honestly, he supported Phil from the heart.
Perhaps they had many things in common.
"Do you have any plan this afternoon? I'd like to buy a car. It will be more convenient to pick up my daughter every day," Chase asked.
Shell's words made sense. He planned to make Jayne Lin knew his real identity bit by bit.
Chase intended to buy a car, a house, and gradually bring Jayne into a high-quality life. When she got used to that, she would accept the fact that Chase was a rich man.
"Sure, I can go with you. I happen to be off today," Josh replied.
Then Chase called the taxi on the roadside.
…
When Jayne returned to the company and told Milne that she succeeded in the project of Dragon Lake, Milne was too surprised to believe it.
"Manager Lin, I know it's quite difficult. But as President Lu said yesterday, have a try, and then you'll know the answer. You should try your best. People won't believe you anymore if you tell a lie."
Milne said that loudly to make other workers hear.
As expected, when he finished his words, a salesperson immediately said, "Right, Jayne, we are waiting for the good news. Give it your biggest shot."
"Yeah, the Green City's project has proved your ability. You can succeed in this order as well."
Seeing this, Milne said with a smirk, "Look, everyone has great expectations for you. As a manager, especially a newly promoted one, don't let them down."
Jayne said nothing but handed the contract to Milne, saying, "I did manage it. This is the contract with manager Wang's signature. "
Milne was shocked when looking at Jayne's contract. Especially when he saw Josh Group's official seal, he felt unable to hold the paper.
Unbelievable! She did this tough job so well and so smoothly.
"Really? Jayne did it?" the salesman next to Milne asked curiously.
Milne was not happy in the heart, but he said with a smile, "Told you, Jayne is such an impressive person to handle it. Jayne, you can have a rest, and I'll convey this good news to President Shawn."
Before Jayne could reply, he left the office with the contract.
Jayne was upset when she realized that Milne intended to take all the credit herself.
But she could not complain. After all, he was her immediate superior. She wished Milne not to cut her commission.
"Wow, Jayne, you're amazing."
"Yeah, great job. That project is worth around 20 million. You're going to make a fortune."
"Jayne, I'd appreciate it if you lift me up in the future."
Milne's words and deeds suggested Jayne did succeed in that challenging job.
She made it in such a short period. Everyone was aware of her outstanding abilities.
Many salespersons started to admire Jayne in their hearts.
She deserved her promotion.
However, there were also a few people who were very jealous of Jayne's achievements.
"I wish you don't use your body in this business," Inge Liu said weirdly.
At this moment, the others immediately shut their mouths.
No one dared to say that in front of Jayne. In the final analysis, she's their immediate superior.
Jayne got angry; she stared at Inge and said, "What do you mean by that?"
Inge remarked frankly, "I'm stating the fact."
As a superior salesperson, she had a lot of businesses every month. And even President Shawn praised her before. So she never truly respected her manager—Jayne.
In her opinion, she should be the one who got promoted to the manager. But President Shawn chose Jayne. Thus she always had problems with Jayne.
Jayne said madly, "Stop that. Mind your words. Or I'll tell President Shawn what you have said to me."
Inge said indifferently, "Do whatever you want. I don't care. You can sleep with President Shawn for promotion. Understandably, you do the same thing with clients."
"Are you insane?" Jayne left the company in anger.
"Huh, bitch!"
Inge sneered at Jayne's back.
Seeing this, others started to gossip about their fight.
...
Milne came to Joel Shawn's office and said excitedly, "Mr. Shawn, good news. We succeeded in the Dragon Lake project. Here's the contract."
He handed the contract to Joel.
"What? Really?" Joel looked at it with excitement.
This project was worth 27 million, which represented the largest business for Duncan Electronics.
Then he noticed the final price was their initial quotation, indicating that Josh Group made them earn an extra one million.
But thinking of Chase's identity, he felt not that excited.
"Well done. Both you and Jayne will have rewards this month, and all the employees of your department will have bonuses of 1,000," Joel remarked.
"Thank you. By the way, although it's Jayne who made this project, she has no enough experience. In case she messes up this business, I'd like to do the follow-up job," Milne said.
"Are you sure?" Joel squinted at him.
If he could follow up this order, Milne would have Josh Group as his client. Then the new presidents would think more highly of him.
"Yes, after all, this is Duncan's largest business. It would be better if I can be the head of this project," Milne said frankly.
"Okay, I take your point", Joel said with a smile.
Milne went out, happy and satisfied.
Joel looked at Milne's back with an enigmatic smile.
Chase was helping his wife at work. How dared he to enrage Chase?
