Master Yun was named Gentry Yun, who had been in Lu's Family for more than 20 years. Chase Lu had learned martial art, chess, and tea ceremony from him since he was a child.
Chase wanted to call him teacher, but Gentry refused.
They were actually both friends and mentors.
Gentry's appearance made Chase calm down.
"I know you'll come soon." Gentry smiled.
"Master Yun, what's going on to my father? Where's him? Why he made such a decision?" Chase asked.
"I can't tell you where he is. He made this to protect you." Gentry answered.
"To protect me?" Chase was confused.
"Do you know why your father came here alone but could found such a great family?" Gentry asked.
Chase shook his head. He used to admire his father, Terence Lu, who could found Lu's family, a powerful monster in Capital by himself alone in less than 20 years.
Terence had no brothers, sisters, and uncles, just him alone, which was quite strange among those influential families.
"Because he is the successor of the real Lu's Family. He gave up to succeed the Lu's Family and left there. Lu's Family is such great and powerful, so of course, its successor should be of extremely excellent abilities and could get the unimaginable wealth. That's why he could establish your family." Gentry explained.
"The real Lu's Family? I've never heard it. Is that my grandfather founded?" Chase was puzzled.
"It's a mysterious family, not founded by your grandfather, but your grandfather's grandfather." Gentry shook his head.
"So..." Chase was stupefied. He used to think his grandfather already died, only leaving one son in this world, Terence.
"So, where is the real Lu's Family?" Chase asked.
"Don't ask about it. You'd better keep you from asking it. You have to know that even Rothschild's Family should respect the real Lu's Family." Gentry said.
Rothschild's Family?
The most influential family controlling the most wealth in this world?
Chase was speechless. How powerful the real Lu's Family was!
"So...my father came back to the family, right?" Chase calmed down after a long time.
"Maybe yes, maybe no. I don't know where your father ran to, but I think I know why he ran away. It must have something to do with your father's first primary wife." Gentry still shook his head.
"My father's first wife?" Chase was surprised again.
"Your father was forced to marry a woman before he ran away from the family. And that's just why your father escaped. Then your father met your mother, and they had you soon. Years later, your father's first wife knew about this matter, so she planned to kill your mother and you. Fortunately, for your mother's quick response facing the car accident, she saved your life." Gentry's voice seemed to be from a distant place, cold, grave, but clear.
Chase's heart trembling, he clenched his hands, with enmity in his eyes.
"That should be why your father dissolved your family and asked you not to return back. Since you left here years ago, your father began to make a fake image of your death. So as long as you don't appear here, no one will know your existence." Gentry persuaded.
Chase gritted his teeth. "Master Yun, how much possibility will I have if I avenge my mother's death now?"
"No way. Your...is from a quite influential old family, so as long as you show up, you'll be killed at once." Gentry didn't think it was feasible.
"But, I can't endure such hatred!" When the sense revived in Chase's mind that his mother saved him with her life, Chase felt his heart burned by the flame of hatred.
He used to blame his father on his lateness to pick them up, but now he knew that even if her mother didn't die that day, she would be killed sooner or later.
"You can only depend on yourself. Lu's Family won't acknowledge you as their child." Gentry reminded.
Chase had no interest in going back to Lu's Family, but he had to avenge his mother's death.
"Go back to Jol City, and never come back again. Never think of revenge, unless..." Gentry stopped.
"Unless what?" Chase stared at Gentry.
"Unless you can become the successor of Lu's Family, but it's impossible. Even if they acknowledge you, you still have to compete with many talented cousins." Gentry said with pity.
Chase felt wronged, unprecedentedly wronged.
"Alright, I know." Chase took a deep breath and then left the villa.
Chase went to the cemetery with flowers and fruits.
He knelt in front of his mother's tomb, touching the tombstone engraved with her mother's name, sobbing.
"Mom, sorry. I haven't come here to see you for such a long time..."
"Mom, I'm married and have a cute daughter. I'll take them to see you next time. They're so cute."
"Mom, I've already known the murder. It's my father's ex-wife. You know her, right? Master Yun said she is powerful, so is her family. Even my father has to run away from here. But no matter how powerful she is, I'll kill her even if the price is my life!"
"Mom, I have to go. Master Yun said it's dangerous to stay here. I'm so weak now, but I'll be strong one day!"
Chase kowtowed, and then he stood up to leave.
But as he turned around, he found a young woman in her twenties watching him silently.
