“You mean Hayes Hu? Shell Wang asked.
Jeannie Lin nodded with doubt.
“It shouldn’t be him. Manager Wang didn’t treat him so politely yesterday.” Shell Wang shook her head.
“But who’s it? It should be a powerful person who could talk about this with Mr. Lu. There is no such person in my brain.” Jeannie was confused.
The two began to guess, but neither of them thought of Chase Lu.
Chase was a useless worm in their minds, so they didn’t believe that he could have a relationship with John Lu.
If there were a connection between John and Chase, it should be that they were all named Lu.
“Well, forget it. Let’s make the contract first. We can ask manager Wang about its identity.” Shell said.
Chase went into the ward after a meal and saw the smiles on the two’s face, knowing that Josh Group had already called them.
“Stay with Cassie. We’re going to make a contract with Josh Group.” Shell was joyful, so her attitude was quite peaceful.
Chase nodded. Then Jeannie’s phone rang.
After a while, Jeannie said. “Mom, please wait for a while. Hayes’s coming.”
Soon Hayes Hu came in with a bag of fruit in his hand.
His attitude towards Chase changed, compared with yesterday’s disdain.
He hadn’t gotten a good treatment in Josh yesterday, but John’s secretary had behaved such respectfully to Chase. Hayes was not stupid. The same as Shell and Jeannie, he had doubted about Chase’s identity, as well.
“Hayes, did you ask your father to help my mom? Manager Wang in Josh Group called my mom just now and invited us to make the contract.” Jeannie asked. She still thought it should be only Hayes who could help Shell.
“Ah?” Hayes felt confused. He knew well that even his father couldn’t have such powers.
Seeing Hayes’s expression, Jeannie felt disappointed. “It must be others.”
“Aunt Shell, has manager Wang called you? My father’s so reliable. I just asked him for help this morning. I thought it would take some days, but he has already made it.” Hayes admitted.
Hayes wasn’t afraid to be exposed. It must be that Josh Group thought Shell’s company reliable, so they decided to cooperate with her. So no one actually helped Shell, and Hayes would never be exposed.
What was more, to admit this contribution would make him get closer to Jeannie.
“Oh, it was really your father who helped us. Thank you!” Jeannie looked at Hayes with excitement. She knew no one could help except for Hayes.
“Little Hayes, thank you so much.” Shell was surprised.
Chase was shocked. He didn’t expect Hayes to be such shameless.
“Are you sure that it was your father who helped my mom?” Chase laughed.
Hayes felt rattled.
“Should it be you? Do you have such powers?” Jeannie stared at Chase with disdain in her eyes.
“Don’t care about him. Let’s make the contract first.” Then they left.
“Daddy, why do auntie and grandma treat you so terribly?” Cassie asked with confusion.
Chase smiled, speechless.
He couldn’t say it was because they thought him useless. He should act well in front of Cassie.
The next day, Cassie had the operation.
It was indeed successful, and Cassie felt well.
Cassie recovered so fast that a few days later, she could leave the hospital.
At night, in Jayne and Chase’s room, Jayne asked. “Cassie’s three years old, enough for the kindergarten, so what’s your plan?”
“Plan?” Chase didn’t know her meaning.
“We need money to pay for the tuition, so you should find a job and pay back the debt as soon as possible.” Jayne frowned.
“It’s only a debt of 50 thousand yuan for Phil Du, and I’ll pay back soon,” Chase said.
“Good, you mean that I should pay back the rest debt, right?” Jayne glared at Chase, who was smoking by the bed.
She never thought that Chase was so unreliable.
“Take it easy. I never said the rest is borrowed. It’s my money. I just owe Phil 50 thousand now.” Chase smiled.
“Your money? It’s more than 500 thousand yuan. Are you kidding me?” Jayne was furious.
“Dear, let me tell you the truth. In fact, I’m a rich man.”
Then Chase put out the cigarette, pulling Jayne in his arms, and ready to tell her his identity.
“Go away. Don’t touch me!” But Jayne was furious, pushing Chase away and shouting.
“Chase Lu, you make me so disappointed. You’ve found such a ridiculous excuse to escape from work. Are you still a standing man? I warn you. If anyone comes to ask for debt, I’ll divorce you immediately!”
Jayne got out of bed. She loved Chase. Even if Chase failed to start a business and had no money to support Cassie’s treatment, there were only complaints.
But now, Chase had found such a ludicrous excuse, making her so despondent.
“What are you doing?” Chase asked.
“Sleep in another room!” Jayne snorted, then left.
Chase was amused.
Why people always didn’t believe in the truth?
