Chapter 24 Victor's plan

“Keep me informed.” Victor Chu said and left the Pearl Group; his worries about Dinah Chen grew in his heart as well. The Chen Family was really greedy. Their business was going well but they were still thinking about taking advantage of Dinah. Since Wenjie Chen was having bad intentions about Dinah, Victor swore to make him pay the price. Soon news came from the Pearl Group that Fu Cai had arranged everything well. He asked Victor to visit a big boss of a Mafia which had been active in the gray area of Jing’an District. The big boss was called Gang Mao, known as Brother Gang. Victor was in low profile and asked Fu not to say anything about his identity, as he was afraid it would make a scene and cause trouble. He went to Guang’an Building at Fukou Street in Jing’an District, which was known as the Entertainment Street. The Entertainment Street was full of nightclubs and was terribly messy with gangsters everywhere who had tattoos on their bodies and cigarettes in their Miuths. Thieves, gamblers and gangster were wandering around. Victor didn’t dress himself as a rich man, so he wasn’t a target. He arrived at Guang’an Building with the help of the GPS. The building had nine floors with filthy stuff going on inside, however, everything looked normal from the outside. There were KTV, casino, sauna and bars inside the nine-store building. Illegal people loved to gather and wander around here. “Stop! It’s not business hours!” Two gangsters at the door told him to go away. “Tell your boss that Victor Chu’s asking to meet.” “Victor Chu or Victoria Chu whoever you are, do you know who our boss is? What do you come here for?” “This guy is asking to see you and we are about to teach him a lesson.” The skinny guy said proudly and waved his stick. “You are daydreaming. Wanting to see our boss? I shall send you to see a doctor!” The half-naked guy threw his fist towards Victor. But suddenly Gang Mao behind him kicked him on the waist and he immediately flew away and fell on the ground like a dead dog. The skinny guy was shocked. There’s something different about the boss today. What happened? “Boss, why did you kick me?” The half-naked guy was bleeding both in his hands and legs. “Apologize to Brother Victor, now! Your Miuths are so dirty; have you been eating crap today?” Gang stared angrily at the two guys. “Brother...Brother Victor? Isn’t he the crap of...” Gang did not wait for the skinny guy to finish and slapped him on the face. “Crap your ass! Are you blind? Kneel and apologize! Or I shall kick you out of Fukou Street!” Gang was so scared and took a secret glance at Victor and relaxed a little when he saw Victor’s calm face. Both the half-naked guy and the skinny guy were shocked. Kneel and apologize? Brother Victor? Why? But on seeing Gang’s cold face, the two immediately knelt on the ground and the people who passed by were shocked. “I am coming back to you later!” Gang just said the words without giving any extra explanation. What he needed to do at the moment was to invite Victor inside. A few minutes later, in Gang’s office, Victor was sitting high on the place where he belonged to. Seeing this Brother Gang being so respectful in front of him, Victor knew Fu had hinted Gang who he was and what he came here for, so he just cut the chase and asked directly, “Do you know Yong Gao in Jing’an District?” “Yong Gao? Other people didn’t know about Victor, thinking he’s only a live-in son-in-law and a crap; but Gang knew it clearly that Victor’s in no way a nobody as the Chairman of the Pearl Group told him to treat him with respect. Maybe he was exaggerating, but Gang would like to try. Besides, he wouldn’t dare to mess with the Pearl Group, either. “Leave your contact number and I will inform you what to do. Get your underlings ready.” Victor knocked the table, looking completely different from the coward in Chen Family. The three years’ tough life didn’t make him soft, instead, it made him even more reserved. Victor asked Gang not to escort him out. When he reached the first floor, he saw three familiar faces. Jim Wang, Sam Wei and Bob Zhao. They were the roommates of Carl Guo. They had a little money and were arrogant and despotic at school. “Did I see it wrong, or this is the cuckolded man Victor Chu?” Jim and Sam looked at each other and then the three laughed. “Victor? What are you coming here for? Can you afford anything here?” Bob laughed, “Oh I almost forgot. You must have cheated quite a lot of money from Daisy’s sister! It’s the Cloud Palace! You can really do things against your conscience! Please teach us how to spend a woman’s money, will you?”
