Jing Lu was walking down while talking on the phone. She had reached the door and was out a few steps farther. Christy Zhong and Qi Lin followed her silently.
Jing suddenly stopped and turned her head, then she ordered coldly, "Take good care of James and report to me in time if something happens."
They didn’t know who she was talking to, so Christy and Qi responded in unison, "Sure!"
However, Jing glanced at Christy in disgust and then said, "Qi, you are in charge of everything. If anything happens to James, I will only find you!"
Qi knew Jing’s temper and knew the weight of what she said, so he quickly responded, "Rest assured, madam."
But there was a saying that superior had the policy, inferior had the countermeasure. There were many things that only the parties understood. If the parties didn't show it, it was impossible for outsiders to know. If outsiders said many things in advance, they might be refuted by the parties, which would cause unnecessary trouble.
He could see that James Feng's attitude towards Christy was different from the others. But what exactly their relationship was, how did an outsider know? The less trouble the better. He had better keep his mouth shut.
"You, do your duty!" These angry words were addressed to Christy.
Christy's delicate face was flushed. The smile on her face couldn’t be maintained, so she could only nod awkwardly and didn’t know how to respond. Then she just said, "Take care."
Jing finally turned to go out. She truly left this time.
No one would feel comfortable being reprimanded in front of others like that!
"Mr. Lin, sorry to show you this. I'll get my bag." After saying this, Christy ran upstairs like an escape.
Although Qi didn't know what happened upstairs just now, the criticism downstairs was real. It was normal for her to be sad, and it was hard for her.
"Take your time. I'll arrange a car for you." Qi said peacefully behind her. He tried to comfort her, but she ran out of sight.
Christy had only recently entered the workplace, and her life experience was limited. In fact, what could be such a trivial matter? What kind of embarrassment couldn't be faced in life?
The more successful one's life was, the more embarrassment he would experience! People only needed to experience those scenes that made them feel timid and overcome slowly. Then the heart would become stronger, and life would get better.
Christy ran back to the room and covered her heart, a feeling of unspeakable wrapping tightly around her. The pain and repression left her unable to breathe.
But no matter what, she could not give up, nor compromise. For Justin and her sick mother, she must grit her teeth and persevere.
At this moment her cell phone rang. She answered in a little panic. It was a call from the hospital, telling her that her mother was safe again, and she could still visit at the original frequency.
What good news. She seemed to see the results of her persistence. Everything would be fine. Christy cheered herself up!
She just wanted to go down. The phone rang again. This time it was Wen. Her voice was a bit urgent, "Do you know that I will most likely be assigned to the group of An'an Xian? She came to talk to me today."
Christy had a bad feeling in her heart after listening to her. Could it be that An'an wanted to stab Wen in the back for her reasons?
"What did she say? How do you feel about her?" Christy hurriedly asked. She didn't immediately tell her about the quarrel between herself and An'an at the door of their TV station. Christy originally thought it didn't matter, but it seemed that An'an had seen Wen.
Christy didn't want her words to affect her best friend too much, so she wanted to know Wen's impression of An'an. If they could get along, why should she bother? If Christy said too much now, Wen was bound to have a first impression of An'an. She knew that first impressions were strongest.
"She only asked me about my major and school, and some of the situations in the school, as if she wanted to know everything about me in various ways. It's weird. Why is she so interested in me?" Wen kept talking, "Do you think it because I was born beautiful. Is she a lesbian?"
Wen's imagination was impressive. What the hell was she thinking?
"Well. If An'an is a lesbian, how could she have a blind date with James? And Hit me like that? Don't be so nasty. However, it might be related to your natural beauty. She is green with envy!" Christy hesitated to tell her, but it was necessary to remind her about An'an.
Wen was satisfied with everything now. She chuckled and said indifferently, "Anyway, I do my own thing, and I would not go against her."
But things in this world had never been able to follow their wishes! Who could completely control his destiny?
Christy decided to tell her, "Be careful. Last time..."
She just said this. Then Wen interrupted her, "Last time you and James went together on a blind date with her. It is possible that she will be greatly stimulated, and she will doubt life from then on. However, I don't care about her thoughts so much. As for how to do it, everyone has his plan. How about you? How's it going? What's Jing's attitude? What about Ryan?"
They hadn’t seen each other for a day, but it felt like they hadn't seen each other for a long time. There were so many things that made both of them uneasy. Perhaps the true best friend was like this, always caring for each other.
The topic was divorced. Christy didn't have the chance to say what she said just now, so she briefly talked about her situation. "It's a bit late now. I have to go to the company quickly, hoping Mr. Feng can approve of my work."
Oh. Christy was planning to go to the company after she packed her things, but Jing had been here, and then she chatted with Wen. So it was relatively late in time.
"OK. So be it. Don't worry too much and don't be afraid. I am here!" Wen said casually.
Indeed, thanks to Wen in the past few years. Otherwise, she might have been unable to persist long ago.
"Sure. I'll talk to you later on WeChat." Christy said, and then carefully inspected the room before she walked downstairs with her bag.
James just finished the meeting when Christy arrived at the company. She quickly asked him about lunch and then carefully reported the situation during the meal.
Although James didn't say anything, there shouldn't be any major problems from his facial expressions. She was finally relieved in her heart.
