Frightened, Zhao shouted, "God. The kid. Dannie, summon the doctor here! Hurry!"
"Oh, yes, yes," Dannie regained her senses and ran out in a panic with tears.
Hercules' eyes darkened, and his anger seemed to be replaced by a mixed feeling.
Zhao turned to him and scolded disappointedly, "I wonder what Sandy has done makes you so angry and hurt her in this way. She's pregnant with your kid. Don't you know that?"
Hercules said nothing and gave a glimpse at the helpless figure lying on the table, "An evil woman will deliver an evil baby. Listen, Sandy; it's just a little punishment. If you keep troubling Emma, you'll know what you'll suffer."
Sandy felt a great pain in her stomach, like a sharp knife twisting there.
Her face got increasingly pale, and the hurt made her head covered with pain sweat.
As Hercules was about to walk out, her head down, she suddenly said, "Hercules."
The man paused and responded with a familiar face with disgust, "Stop calling me that way. You don't deserve that. I don't care if you're a fool. If you hurt Emma again, I'll chop you into pieces."
Perhaps it's because all things came to her mind, Sandy said in a low voice, "Don't get a big head. I'm not that stupid Sandy, who died today. The future Sandy will be out of your league. And you will regret what you did to me today."
Hercules was amazed to hear these words; he looked at Sandy, only to find her cold and easy smile. "Sooner or later, the day will come", Sandy said slightly.
She ran out of her energy to say that. Then Sandy fell down in a swoon.
…
This day, the Spring Garden was a little busy.
Doctors and experienced midwives went in and out. Dannie and Zhao were also up to their neck in work, nervous and worried.
Sandy was lying on the bed with a pale face. She was in a coma and could not take any medicine in.
Hercules left and asked the doctors to protect her life, noting that the baby was not significant.
But as soon as the doctor entered the room and sat down to feel Sandy's pulse, Dannie clutched his hand tightly, announced seriously, "You must do your best to protect both Sandy and the kid. Otherwise, you'll suffer when Sandy wakes up."
Her eyes and facial expressions impressed and intimidated the doctor a lot. They'd give it their best shot.
…
In the Lotus Garden, Hercules ordered Daisy to take good care of Emma and then went back to his study.
But what lingered in his mind was the decisive speech of Sandy. He seemed to lose Sandy's love and even become a bitter enemy of her.
For Hercules, he didn't care whether that stupid woman loved him. But it's weird that Sandy turned so normal and even abandoned him now. He could not accept that.
Perhaps it's because, for a long time, he took Sandy's love for granted and got used to her badgering. Now, the U-turn made him extremely angry.
Back in the study, Hercules angrily split the desk in half. It's a rare thing.
Daisy was helping Emma consume the edible bird's nest when they got that news.
Emma had already bathed and changed her dress. The skirt torn by her was thrown away as trash.
Lying on the pillow, Emma asked Daisy to treat the bruises on her body and sometimes groaned when feeling pain.
