Sandy Shen was thrown out of General's Mansion before the vermilion gate closed. The blood on her face blocked her sight. She reached out to touch the door, but only left bloodstains on it. It snowed heavily. Sandy tried to go back to the imperial palace, but was stopped at the gate there. Even though the Emperor knew Sandy was expelled form General's Mansion, he would rather let her freeze to death. Only her death would ease everyone. Sandy moved her steps along the empty and snow-covered street. The wind blew on her face, but she could only feel cold and even forgot the pain. Tears mixed with blood fell on her face before she lost her mind. She still murmured, "I am not a fool." Her vision gradually blurred; the wind was blowing in her ears. Finally, she lost consciousness. There seemed to be a noisy horse's hoofs. Sandy lifted her heavy eyelids and vaguely saw a man got down of the horse, rushing to her. It hurt...
