Wendy Pai found that Fitzgerald hadn’t come back for a long time, so she came out to take a look. Fitzgerald stood alone in the aisle and didn't know what he was thinking. Wendy stepped forward and called him twice, then Fitzgerald came back to earth. He looked at Wendy. The words Wilson said just now echoed in his mind.
"Sofia married?" Wendy didn't know why Fitzgerald’s first sentence was about Sofia Pai. She was upset in her heart but couldn't show it.
"It is impossible. How could Sofia get married? She only returned to China for a few days. Where to find someone to get married?"
Fitzgerald thought Wendy was right. How could Sofia get married so soon after she came back from England? That man must have called her this deliberately, in order to make him thought that Sofia was married.
That man was at best a boyfriend she casually found on the street. He even dared to be arrogant in front of him. Who the hell did he think he was?
"Fitzgerald. Are you still thinking about Sofia? I know. It's all my fault. If... if you really like her, I... I am willing to quit. As long as you are happy." Wendy said, and her voice gradually choked.
Wendy was gentle. It reminded him of Sofia's arrogant expression. He stretched out his hand to embrace Wendy in his arms.
"Silly girl. How could it be? You are mine. My family will be responsible for you. The engagement day is set. The engagement banquet is also being prepared. Do you want to regret?"
"Nonsense. I'm glad. The biggest wish in my life is to be your wife." The two talked about love in the corridor. On the other side, Sofia followed Wilson back to the private room. She couldn't see the emotions of Wilson along the way, and couldn't figure out what he was thinking.
When they entered, Calvin Gu and Flynn Lin were ready to leave. Wilson picked up his jacket and was about to leave. Sofia thought they were going back. Who knew, they wanted to continue having fun.
"Sister-in-law went to the bathroom for too long. Wilson almost thought you had been abducted by a trafficker and came out to find you."
Sofia was speechless. This person was literally unable to see the fitness of things. She felt that Wilson seemed a little unhappy.
"Let's go! Meeting at Butterfly Club." Wilson picked up the car key. He took Sofia's hand and left the private room first. Flynn and Calvin both felt weird. Why were these two people getting awkward after going out for a while?
They were very curious. Wilson, a person without mood swings, what magical powers this sister-in-law had, could make him angry in such a short time?
Wilson walked fast. Sofia could barely keep up with her short boots. When she was sitting in the car, she was already a little out of breath. Wilson’s face was gloomy. He didn't say a word and looked colder than usual.
They sat without saying a word. There was no sound in the car. Sofia couldn't bear such a depressing atmosphere. She took a deep breath and asked what she had been holding back for a long time.
"Are you angry?" Wilson listened silently, ignoring her. He was indeed uncomfortable. Any man would feel uncomfortable when he saw his wife entangled with other men.
Let alone that man was her ex-boyfriend. There was nothing wrong with his reaction.
Wilson didn’t speak. Sofia was a little nervous. She quickly explained, "It's not what you think. I don't know why he was there. I just came out of the bathroom and bumped into him. He didn't let me go..." In the beginning, Sofia was excited to explain, but Wilson still looked upset. Then, her voice became smaller and smaller.
What the hell did he want?! She already explained. Why was he still indifferent? She didn't like this situation the most. Why couldn’t people say directly?
"In short, I have nothing to do with Fitzgerald. I mean it. So, I hope you don't take this too seriously, okay? Please don't get mad at me. We are different from those who love and then get married. We don’t even understand each other's personalities. I hope you tell me what you think. It’s hard to guess what you’re thinking like this."
Wilson braked suddenly. Sofia was taken aback, only to see the red light ahead.
"Didn’t you say that you would take this marriage seriously?" Wilson asked rhetorically. Sofia looked at him blankly and nodded.
"I'm taking it very seriously! I don't even know what you're thinking. Two people living together, there will be conflicts. I... I don't like quarrels, do you understand? Even if it’s just the cold war, I still feel uncomfortable in my heart. I would rather you scold me. Let me know why you are angry."
Sofia said a lot. For the first time, Wilson felt that listening to her seemed pretty good. It was not as annoying as he thought, especially now.
"Did I say I was angry?" Wilson asked again. Sofia was stunned by the question. What did this mean? She explained and was depressed for so long, but she was the only one who felt frustrated. Couldn't this person tell her that she thought too much?
"Then why didn’t you say it at the beginning and let me explain it for so long." Sofia was a little upset. She looked out of the window angrily. This man was too much to make her worry for so long.
"Are you worried that I am angry with you?" Wilson suddenly felt in a good mood. He turned on the music. The soothing music sounded in the car. The atmosphere improved a lot in an instant.
Sofia glared at him and murmured, "No, I’m not."
However, she asked herself in her heart. She seemed to be nervous just now and was anxious to explain. She didn't want him to misunderstand the relationship between herself and Fitzgerald.
Was this because she had begun to care about his feelings?
Since they were married, of course, she must put him in the most important position. Just like her mother put her father in the most important position before.
Wilson didn’t know what Sofia was thinking. With her explanation, the only unpleasantness in his heart dissipated with the cold winter wind.
