"No way. He will never do that to me." Daisy Du said without hesitation.
Susanna Su smiled slightly.
"I used to think that Carson will be loyal to me forever. But it turns out men always lie to their lovers."
"Plus, your husband is way more attractive than Carson. Girls always gravitate toward men like him."
Her words made Daisy nervous and somewhat angry,
"What do you mean? That Carson cheated on you doesn't mean that all husbands are unfaithful to their wives."
Susanna sighed lightly. "Calm down. I don't hope you go through what I went through with Carson."
Her voice was with a little sadness.
Daisy glanced at her and felt guilty for Susanna for the first time, "I'm sorry. I should have told you."
Susanna replied lightly, "Never mind. I know all you do is for me."
"Actually, when I learned it, I want to tell you, but I was worried that you could not take it." She sighed.
"To be honest, sometimes, you are too unapproachable and aggressive. It's hard for a man."
"Carson told you this?" Susanna looked up at Daisy and asked.
"No, it's easy to see. It's always good for a girl to stay home and take care of the family. Why do you insist on acting like a man?"
Susanna did not speak.
Daisy's words reminded her of something.
She was a painting major in college, but she had to do selling to afford their living expenses after she was with Carson.
Her position today was the result of her enormous efforts these years.
For her career, Susanna got drunk or even sent to the hospital many times. She used to work late every night for two weeks or even a month.
Even when she was pregnant with Coco, she waited for her customer on hot days. Later, she got fainted and almost lost her baby.
People said she worked way too hard. She had no choice.
Carson was an idealist who dreamed of becoming a contemporary art master every day, hoping that his paintings could be sold out.
Susanna often entrusts a go-between to buy some from Carson.
She never told Carson about this for the sake of his self-esteem.
What she did was to make Carson happy and content because she loved him.
But finally, all she got was Carson's betrayal, her mother-in-law's blame, and misunderstandings from others.
See, one should live for himself, not anyone else. Being self-focused was a good thing.
Seeing Susanna silent for a while, Daisy sighed, "I know you supported your whole family alone. It's hard. Look, that's why I told you to marry a rich man."
Daisy said so with pride. Susanna noticed that and smiled slightly.
