Susanna Su didn't answer her but smiled and asked,
"Why do you ask this question?"
"I'm just asking."
In the rearview mirror, Susanna's brows frowned slightly with her daughter's absent-minded look.
It seemed that her daughter noticed something.
She didn't expect her daughter to be so sensitive.
She thought for a moment and said,
"Your deskmate's mom and dad got divorced because of some irresolvable conflict between them. Sometimes it's better to be apart."
"And even if they are divorced, they are still her parents, which makes no difference."
"Why is there no difference? If they get divorced, she will have a stepdad and stepmother. Then she will become Cinderella."
Coco said anxiously.
Susanna said with a smile upon hearing this,
"Then let her live with her mother."
"But she likes her father better."
Coco whispered.
Susanna's heart tightened when she heard the words and stopped talking.
There was a feeling of deep sorrow in her heart. She understood what her daughter meant.
What made her uncomfortable was that she and her daughter, who was only a few years old, needed to test each other.
When they returned home, Carson Chen had already prepared the meal. Seeing her daughter leaping into Carson's arms happily, Susanna only felt cold, as if she was the only one left in the world.
In the past, Susanna never drank except for social engagement. But now she wanted to drink and get herself drunk.
However, she was afraid to drink because she didn't know if Carson would take the opportunity to do something when he was drunk.
She suppressed the sadness in her heart and sat calmly on the chair as if nothing had happened.
In the evening, Susanna told Coco stories as usual. But today she didn’t talk too much. She found her daughter was staring at her after she finished speaking.
"What's up? Why are you looking at me?"
"Nothing."
Coco's eyes were a little dodge.
"Good night, Mom. I want to sleep."
After speaking, Coco lay down and put on a quilt.
Susanna sat there and watched for a while, then got up and went out. She was about to go back to the room, but Carson took her hand and said,
"Susanna, can I go back to the bedroom tonight?"
Since the two of them made the thing clear, Carson had slept in the study.
Hearing this, Susanna was full of cold. But she still nodded.
Carson was delighted. He knew how stubborn Susanna was, and now that he was allowed to return to the room, it proved that she was slowly letting go.
"Honey, you are so kind."
Carson kissed Susanna and hugged her tightly. He didn't notice that Susanna's eyes were full of haze.
At night, Carson wanted to have sex with Susanna, and Susanna didn't refuse.
The two embraced, but Susanna was no longer confused. Her heart was sober.
At the last moment, she couldn't help but cut Carson's back with her long nails.
Susanna had never been like this before. Carson felt a little excited.
"Honey, your reaction today is awesome, like a wild cat."
Although his back hurt a bit, this experience was unprecedented.
"Is that so?"
Susanna smiled. She raised her hand and saw a trace of red on it.
She lowered her eyes and smiled, hiding her mad murderous intent.
