Hearing what Mark Yu said, Richie Lin and Mike Zhang were confused.
But they stopped asking.
"I had no choice before, but now that you are here, I hope you can take care of my daughter." Mark looked gentle and lonely as he said.
Then he continued, "I married a woman, but she is not good. I'm afraid that she has already forgotten me since I left."
"Although I don't care, my daughter is still with her. I haven't got any news about my daughter for half a year. I hope Young General and Mr. Zhang can go to see her for me."
"And take care of her for half a year."
When Mark talked about women, his face was full of resentment, while looked happy mentioning his daughter.
Richie nodded, asked Mike to write down the address, and strode away.
In the afternoon, the jeep took Richie to a small village on the city's edge, FG Village.
The village was located in a remote place with poor basic construction.
After bumping all the way, they finally arrived at the village at nine in the evening.
"Young General, here we are. If we keep going, we will meet at the residence mentioned by Mark."
Mike opened the door, and Richie got out.
"Is it here?" Richie asked.
With a note in his hand, Mike looked around and shook his head.
"Forward a bit more."
The two of them walked forward.
There was no street lamp in the village, and the whole road was so dim that it was difficult to see things clearly.
When they walked around the corner, they saw an old woman with a shopping cart, sitting not far away in a daze.
The light in the car was dim, illuminating the surroundings.
They were about to ask for the way but were suddenly stunned by what they saw.
A burst of anger rose from the bottom of Richie's heart.
There was a girl about five years old in the black iron cage covered with oil under the wall.
The girl's clothes were tattered, her hair was in a mess, and her young cheeks were full of mud.
At this time, she was holding a yellow puppy, curling up in the corner of the cage.
The temperature outside was very low, and the girl kept trembling.
There was a broken bowl in front of the cage, in which there was some cold food.
Pain and pity overwhelmed the two.
Richie squatted down and came to the girl's side. He tried to speak in a soft voice, "my girl, why are you here?"
The girl was stunned. She poked her head out of the back of the dog, took a stealthy look at Richie, then buried again.
Maybe the puppy thought that Richie was dangerous. It bared its fangs and made a warning sound.
Richie's stared at it. The dog was so frightened that it shrank its head and trembled with the little master.
"Young man, you'd better leave now. Staying here will bring trouble to you and the child." The woman reminded.
The old woman had been parking here. The goods sold in the car had been packed up, but she did not leave.
Richie asked curiously, "what happened to her? Where are her parents? "
Richie asked in a calm voice, afraid of scaring the woman.
The woman looked around and said in a low voice, "Ting's life is miserable. Her father went to prison for the villagers, and her mother, who was a demoralized woman, heard that her husband would be in prison for a long time, so she cheated on him and lock the poor little girl here."
"You can leave now. It will lead you to trouble. I'll stay here with Ting." After saying what happened to Ting, the woman's eyes turned red.
It turned out that the old lady didn't leave after sold out for accompanying the poor girl.
"Is she Ting Yu?" Richie asked in surprise.
The woman was stunned. She didn't expect that this person knew her.
She looked at them again, only to find that the two of them were lofty and elegant. They were not ordinary peasant people.
Their temperament was somewhat similar to that of Mark.
"Ma'am, don't worry. We are Mark's comrades in arms. We are here to pick up his daughter,"
"Mike, give her some money and change a new shopping cart."
The woman was stunned and then suddenly overjoyed.
Finally, someone came to pick upTing. Whether it was true or not, it was better than here; even they sold her to other places.
Ting heard someone mention her father's name, so she poked her head out curiously and secretly looked at Richie.
"You are really my father's comrade in arms!" She asked cautiously.
Her voice was subtle and weak.
Richie squatted down and tried to make his voice softer.
"Yes, my name is Richie. Your father used to be my soldier. He went on a special mission and asked us to take care of you."
The girl didn't answer but put down the puppy in her arms.
She took out an old and shabby photo from her pocket.
She wiped the soil and kept looking for Richie in the photo.
At last, she was overjoyed and said, "this is you, isn't it?"
She handed over the photo, which was taken on their battlefield.
The survivors all kept this photo.
At that time, Richie, who was not twenty years old, looked a little childish.
"Yes, Ting, you are clever."
Richie broke the cage's lock and held the girl tightly in his arms, regardless of the mud on her body.
The puppy in the middle was a little afraid of the man with a sharp face. It barked.
Mike took some cash for the old lady.
"Granny, take the money and change a cart, and improve the living environment."
The woman was surprised.
Then the money he gave her would cost her decades of hard-working.
"Granny, you'd better go home. We will fight later, in case you are involved."
The woman left step by step, but her mind was still blank.
She couldn't believe what she had experienced.
After the old woman left, they held Ting went back to the car.
After putting on Richie's clothes, Ting's purple face slowly returned to normal.
"You stay with Ting in the car. I'll go inside to have a look." Richie pointed at the house on the address.
"Young Master, let me go. You stay with Ting." Mike stopped him.
It was not appropriate for Richie to solve this kind of problem.
But Richie was quite determined. He closed the door and strode away.
Mike had no choice but to chat with Ting.
"Ting, where is your mother?"
Ting lowered her head and whispered in a low voice.
"I don't have a mother. I only have a father and a dog."
