After Richie Lin disappeared, Bob Wang knelt like a deflated ball.
He crawled to Elsa Xu and begged for mercy, "monitor, monitor, please save me. I was just mocking him for Caspar Jiang. Why did he kill me?"
Elsa looked at Bob in disgust.
Bob had done a lot of sneaky things since he was a child.
He could do anything for money.
In order to flatter Caspar, he had said so many harsh words to Richie. But he didn't expect that even Caspar couldn't afford to offend Richie.
"Monitor, please save me!" Bob pleaded.
Elsa sighed slightly. She tried her best to save Caspar; now, she had no idea to help Bob.
"You're my classmate. Think about how to turn it back in three days." Elsa said.
"Okay, okay." Bob rolled out of the restaurant.
In the car, Jane Meng looked at the young man in front of her with interest.
The slovenly little beggar, who had been a little messy, became so heroic and tall when he grew up. He was more sharp and tenacious than a child from a noble family.
"You have changed so much." Jane looked at Richie and said.
Richie smiled and said, "everyone is growing and changing."
Richie drank a little wine. For safety, he drove very slowly.
"That's right. The former follower has turned into a person who Xu's Family dares not to provoke." Jane said, unconvinced.
Meng's Family was just a second rate clan.
"We haven't seen each other for twelve years. We've all experienced a lot. Jane, you have become more beautiful than before." Said Richie.
Twelve years, long enough to change a child to a mature one.
Everyone was running in the direction of their own efforts.
"Yes, if Vincent Zhou knows that you have achieved so much, he will be very happy," Jane said softly.
Her unintentional sigh made the atmosphere in the car a little cold.
Jane felt awkward, apologized slightly.
"I'm sorry."
Richie smiled and said, "if Vincent knows that you still remember him and miss him. He will be happy too. "
Just now, the devil who made others plead for mercy changed into a boy, considerate and gentle.
With her chin leaned against her knee, Angel Chu was somewhat absent-minded.
The car arrived at Jane's place.
Richie watched Jane go upstairs and then left.
When he returned to the villa, it was already 10 o'clock in the evening.
Richie turned on the light in the living room, only to find that Angel was staring at him with her beautiful and widen eyes.
"Why are you still up?" Richie looked at Angel on the sofa, asking.
With fluffy hair and lovely pajamas, Angel sat quietly on the sofa, looking at him in a daze.
"Why do you come back so late?" Angel asked. She seemed to be unhappy.
Richie was stunned, smiling, and explained, "I went to the classmate reunion and came back late."
"Are you waiting for me?"
Angel blushed and immediately denied, "No. I can't fall asleep, so I go out for some fresh air."
As Richie approached, a smell of alcohol drifted away.
"Did you drink?"
"Well, I don't drink too much." Said Richie.
Angel put on her shoes and walked into the kitchen.
After a while, she took out a bowl of soup.
"Drink this and have a good sleep."
The hangover soup was one of the few dishes Angel had cooked. Richie didn't expect that he would have the chance to drink it again after so many years.
Richie took it over." Thank you."
After drinking it, he felt warm and comfortable all over her body.
"Well, go to sleep now. You won't have a headache tomorrow." Angel said softly.
Richie's eyes widened. She treated him like a child.
He couldn't help laughing.
"Don't wait for me. It's okay."
Angel blushed again and returned to her room.
After closing the door, she leaned against the door, patting herself on the chest. A moment later, a smile appeared on her face.
Angel's sudden panic confused Richie. He shook his head and went back to his room.
Sunday morning.
In the tea shop.
The antique furniture revealed the style of a noble and elegant.
Richie took a sip and said in a low voice, "Uncle Hong, since you retired from the army, my godfather misses you very much, and he often told me the stories between you and him."
Richie said to the old man in plain clothes.
The old man's name was Hong Tao. He was the comrade in arms of Hugo Cheng, General of the North.
Hugo was uneducated, so Hong was his think tank to help him get off the wheeling-and-dealing associated with political and military life. Then Hong sent him crown to be the General of the North.
Hong was very important to Hugo. After he retired from the army, Hugo asked Richie to visit Hong in person.
Hearing what Richie said, Hong smiled.
"What kind of good words can I get from a reckless man like him? I just hope that he will not scold me behind me."
Richie felt embarrassed. Not many people dared to call Hugo a reckless man. He was one of them.
"Uncle Tao, do you still insist on exercise recently?" Richie changed the topic.
"I'm too old to do that." Said Hong with a smile.
As soon as he drank up the tea, a lovely young woman came to refill them up.
This woman was the granddaughter of Hong. She listened to the conversation between the two quietly.
"In fact, I was against the idea he makes you his godson." Without waiting for Richie to continue greeting, Hong said.
Richie kept smiling." I know."
Julie listened carefully for some breaking news.
She was curious about this young man who was about her age but a generation higher than her.
When she knew that Richie was the godson of General of the North, she showed a relieved expression, signing. No wonder this person was so outstanding in appearance and temperament as if he was from a noble family.
Hong took another sip of tea and continued, "your growth speed is too fast. After joining the army, you are like a dragon surging on the ocean, with momentum to soar into the sky, just the same as Hugo. I am afraid you will bring Hugo troubles if you be his godson."
Hugo was from a poor family with many siblings. His parents had no choice but to send Hugo, who was the elder brother in his family, to the army. His parents didn't have high expectations of him; just fed him was good enough.
