At this moment, a procession of luxury cars approached slowly. Among them was a Rolls-Royce, which belonged to William Zhan—the line of luxury cars parked at the roadside. William Zhan lowered his window and raised an eyebrow upon spotting the scarred man. He called out, "Steven, what are you doing here?"
"I stepped out of the car to buy something. Unfortunately, someone scratched my car."
"Did you catch the person who scratched your car?"
William Zhan instinctively asked, "Do you need my help to find the person who scratched your car?"
"No, I got her number. I'll ask for compensation after my car is repaired. In Guan City, I know she won't escape from me, Steven Lu."
Steven Lu returned to his car, swiftly started it, and told William Zhan, "Let's go."
Upon hearing Steven's words, William Zhan closed the car window without further discussion. Soon, several luxury cars drove away.
The day passed swiftly, and evening arrived. After the students left for their evening classes, Mila Hai intended to head into the kitchen to prepare dinner for herself and Judy, but she received a call from Anna Hai.
"Mila, I've been grappling with this all day, but I have no choice. I need to tell you," her sister said.
"Anna, what's going on?"
"When I was shopping this morning, I accidentally scratched a Maybach while pushing Ethan. Repairs for such luxury cars are costly. I did the math, and all my personal money probably won't be enough to compensate. As for your brother-in-law, even though he scolded me, saying it was my fault and he wouldn't help me clean up the mess."
Mila Hai's heart tightened as she asked quickly, "Anna, don't worry. How much is the estimated cost of repairing the car?"
"I don't know yet, but the car owner asked for my phone number and said he'd make a claim from me after the repairs."
"Anna, the most important thing is that you and Ethan are safe. No matter how much it costs to repair the car, we'll cover it, and I'll lend it to you. Don't worry."
Anna Hai choked with sobs, "Mila, I'm useless to have caused such a disaster."
"Anna, it was an accident. Don't blame yourself. Money is just a material thing. As long as everyone is okay, that's what matters."
After comforting Anna Hai, Mila Hai turned to her friend, "Judy, I have to go home."
"Okay."
Judy Shen understood that something had happened with Anna Hai and encouraged her friend to go home.
Mila Hai rushed to her sister's house, comforting her throughout the night before returning home late.
Opening the door and stepping inside, she heard William Zhan's cold inquiry, "Why are you back so late?"
Mila Hai closed the door and explained, "Something happened to Anna."
William Zhan's stern expression softened slightly, and he asked calmly, "What happened to her?"
"While shopping in the morning, she accidentally hit a luxury car parked by the roadside while pushing Ethan. The car's body got scratched. Repairing it will likely cost a lot. Anna has been without a job and income for years. She's worried about the compensation. I can't afford the repair cost for the other party's car."
Hearing this, William Zhan's dark eyes flickered. Could it be that Anna Hai had bumped into Steven Lu's car?
"What kind of car did she hit? Will the repair cost be high?"
William Zhan asked in a composed manner.
"She said it's a Maybach, and the body got scratched. It's going to cost quite a bit."
She didn't know the exact amount for repairing a scratched Maybach.
