The private room was empty.
Andrew Li entered, and he casually closed the door behind him. At that moment, the only sound in the room was their breathing.
Ja Jiang glanced around and suddenly felt a sense of danger for no apparent reason. She began to struggle vigorously. "What do you want? Let go of me!"
The next second, the man effortlessly pinned her against the wall, their bodies almost pressed tightly together. His scorching breath sprayed on her ear.
Ja Jiang's struggling ceased instantly, and she stiffened against the wall, her body tensed. She even unconsciously slowed her breathing. At this distance, any slight increase in her breathing might touch the person in front of her.
The room fell into utter silence. Ja Jiang clenched her teeth, her mind in turmoil.
No matter how much time had passed, the oppressive feeling this man gave her remained incredibly strong.
However, their relationship had long since changed. Ja Jiang forcefully pinched her palm to regain her composure.
They were already divorced!
She and Andrew Li had no connection anymore!
They were from two completely different worlds now!
Thinking this, Ja Jiang took a deep breath and calmly spoke, "Andrew Li, release me. If you have something to say, say it properly."
Hearing her indifferent tone, Andrew Li paused for a moment, then took a half step back but didn't release her from his grip.
Ja Jiang felt a sense of relief and her expression became even more composed. "Don't you have anything to say to me?"
Andrew Li noticed the change in her demeanor and narrowed his eyes.
Perhaps it was because she had come to terms with things, but Ja Jiang's response didn't stir much emotion in him.
She replied distantly, "Mr. Li, it's been six years since our divorce. I don't think... there's much left for us to discuss."
As her words fell, Andrew Li suddenly gripped her chin firmly. He was forced to lift his gaze and meet the man's eyes.
"What did you just call me?" The anger in Andrew Li's eyes was almost palpable.
Ja Jiang, enduring the pain, averted her gaze and remained silent.
Seeing her silence, Andrew Li's anger intensified. Mr. Li? That address felt so unfamiliar!
Well, it had been six years!
This woman, hadn't she always been ruthless? Ruthless enough to abandon her own daughter and treat her like a stranger!
No one was more heartless than her!
"Ja Jiang, why are you pretending to be a stranger in front of me?" Andrew Li tightened his grip.
Ja Jiang winced in pain and furrowed her brow, meeting his gaze with resistance in her eyes.
Andrew Li sarcastically curled his lips. "Weren't you the one who used to declare your love for me, claiming you liked me? And now you're pretending to be a stranger? Have you forgotten what you did to me back then? I haven't forgotten!"
Ja Jiang didn't expect him to bring up what happened six years ago and remained stunned for a few seconds. How could she forget that night?
That night, she had approached him almost as if offering herself, all for a bit of tenderness. Thinking back to her feelings at that time, Ja Jiang's heart turned slightly cold.
Her hand, clenched into a fist at her side, showed no weakness as she spoke, "I remember. So what? Mr. Li, do you now feel like you've suffered a loss and want to make up for it? Go ahead, tell me how you want me to compensate you."
Andrew Li's anger intensified, and the atmosphere in the private room became oppressively heavy.
The pain in his chin grew more noticeable, but Ja Jiang continued, "Honestly, that night, you weren't exactly conscious, and I didn't feel much either. Looking back, it was nothing special. But I did make a move on you, so if you want compensation, I won't object."
Very well, after all these years, this woman knew just how to provoke him.
Andrew Li narrowed his eyes dangerously. That night, he indeed had little consciousness of the specifics, but Ja Jiang's tone would anger any man.
After a few seconds of silence, Andrew Li lifted her chin slightly and spoke with a chilling tone, "Nothing special? Since you've misunderstood it that way, I don't mind serving you again."
Ja Jiang's eyes flashed with panic as she tried to evade, but there was nowhere to escape as the man leaned in.
