The condition of Old Master Qin was rather complex, which was the reason why even renowned doctors were helpless.
Just describing Old Master Qin's condition took quite a while for Clark Gu.
At 6 PM, after finishing work, Ja Jiang went to the Qin family mansion alone, following the address provided by Clark Gu.
A middle-aged man, dressed like a butler, answered the door.
He looked at Ja Jiang politely and asked, "Hello, may I help you?"
Ja Jiang smiled and replied, "Hello, I'm the doctor who came to see Old Master Qin. I called this afternoon."
Upon hearing this, the butler scrutinized her for a moment, noticing her young age and feeling a bit skeptical. Could someone so young be capable?
However, he didn't show any doubt on his face and, after a couple of seconds, said, "Since you're a doctor, please come in."
With that, he turned to lead Ja Jiang inside.
Ja Jiang noticed the butler's lack of trust, but she didn't let it bother her. Before healing a patient, she was prepared to face any questions.
Following the butler through the courtyard, she entered a picturesque Jiangnan-style garden, which looked quite elegant.
It was evident that the Qin family was indeed a prominent household.
As they continued into the villa, the butler instructed Ja Jiang to sit on the sofa and said, "We had some guests earlier. Our young master accompanied them upstairs to visit Old Master Qin. Let me inform them of your arrival. Please wait here for a moment."
Ja Jiang nodded and said, "Thank you."
Afterward, she settled on the couch.
A servant soon brought tea and placed it in front of her.
After a while, Ja Jiang heard footsteps coming from upstairs. She set down her cup and stood, gazing toward the staircase.
A young man and woman descended the stairs gracefully.
At a glance, they had some resemblance. The young man had a handsome appearance, while the woman was beautiful and radiant. It seemed they were siblings or close relatives.
As the two of them walked, they whispered something to the person behind them.
It seemed to be the guest the butler mentioned earlier.
Ja Jiang's gaze followed them all the way.
It wasn't until the guest behind the two revealed their presence.
The man was tall and slender, with strikingly handsome features, and he was holding a little girl in his arms. He was chatting with the two people in front of him, his face relaxed.
It seemed like he noticed her gaze as the man calmly turned in her direction, his eyes locking onto hers.
Their eyes met, and Ja Jiang's heart couldn't help but skip a beat.
—Andrew Li!
She never expected to encounter him here!
The memories of that night rushed back to her all at once.
Ja Jiang's eyes trembled uncontrollably, and she could hardly maintain eye contact with him. She clenched her palm tightly, trying to regain her composure.
Taking a deep breath, she pretended to be nonchalant and shifted her gaze to the man and woman ahead of her.
On the staircase, Andrew Li paused, squinting as he looked at the woman on the couch. His gaze wandered over her face as if confirming something.
It wasn't until she averted her eyes that Andrew Li's expression darkened abruptly.
It really was Ja Jiang!
He had thought he was mistaken.
But how could this woman be here?
Andrew Li felt a hint of confusion, but he didn't show it on his face.
"What's wrong, Brother Shen?" The man in front of him stopped and turned back, puzzled.
Upon hearing this, Andrew Li slowly withdrew his gaze, his voice devoid of any emotion. "Nothing, let's go."
The man in front of him nodded, still somewhat skeptical, and the three of them descended the stairs in large strides.
