Upon hearing Ja Jiang's words, Edison Qin and Amelia Qin, brother and sister, immediately changed their facial expressions.
"What nonsense are you talking about?" Amelia Qin glared at Ja Jiang angrily. "Can you really cure him? If you can't, just say so instead of cursing my grandfather here!"
Ja Jiang stared back at her with a cold expression. "I've already been quite polite in saying this. Due to prolonged delay, your grandfather's various bodily functions have started to deteriorate, and his resistance has rapidly decreased. In normal circumstances, the patient should have taken steps to nurture their body, but the medical team you've brought in is not considering the patient's condition at all. They're indiscriminately medicating him; this is not treatment, but rather, it's burning away his life!"
The lead doctor in the medical team felt offended and stepped forward, speaking firmly to Ja Jiang, "Miss, you don't understand the situation, so please refrain from making baseless judgments. Mr. Qin's condition was indeed very serious, and if we hadn't administered medication in time, he wouldn't have made it this far! Please don't question our professionalism! Moreover, we were hired by Miss Fu; why would we harm Mr. Qin?"
Ja Jiang keenly picked up on the mention of their employer.
Miss Fu, Olivia Fu?
This medical team was actually hired by Olivia Fu. She wondered where Olivia Fu had found this group of people, who were all show and self-confident. Did they think that having Olivia Fu's support would intimidate her?
Ja Jiang's expression grew colder, and she retorted, "Professionalism? Frankly, I haven't seen any professionalism from your team. If you had even a bit of professionalism, you wouldn't have turned the patient into this!"
The doctor choked on his words, thinking of Mr. Qin's current frail state. He furrowed his brow but couldn't utter a word.
Seeing the lead doctor silenced, Amelia Qin's expression changed slightly, and she stepped forward, saying, "You're so confident in your words; does that mean you're sure you can cure my grandfather? If not, please spare us the empty talk."
"For years, Miss Fu has introduced many good doctors for my grandfather's health, and my brother, Edison Qin, has put in a lot of effort as well. In the end, all their efforts seem to have been in vain under your care?"
Ja Jiang furrowed her brow slightly, unconsciously glancing at the man next to her. When she met his expressionless gaze, she quickly averted her eyes and calmly replied, "I'm just stating the facts. Whether it's in vain or not, I won't say. The truth is evident to all."
"You!" Amelia Qin didn't expect Ja Jiang to be so sharp-tongued and was angered into speechlessness.
On the side, Edison Qin, observing the escalating tension between the two, frowned and glanced at his sister. When their eyes met, Amelia Qin reluctantly closed her mouth.
"Dr. Jiang, I apologize on behalf of my sister," Edison Qin said. "But right now, I don't care about what happened before. I just want to know if you're confident. If you are, please start the treatment as soon as possible. After all, as you mentioned, my grandfather's condition can't afford any more delays."
Having scolded his sister, Edison Qin turned to Ja Jiang earnestly.
Amelia Qin added sarcastically, "Yes, if you're so capable, please start the treatment quickly. I'm really curious about your abilities."
Ja Jiang pretended not to hear her provocation, turned around, and returned to the bedside, saying, "I'm about to start the treatment now. Please help me take off Mr. Qin's clothes."
