Wary of her best friend already helping her, Ja Jiang spent the past two days with the children. In the morning, after Ja Jiang finished her work, she made time to visit the Qin family, thinking that she could pick up the two little ones herself in the evening.
Upon arriving at the Qin residence, she checked on Mr. Qin's condition, confirmed that everything was in order, and continued the treatment process by giving him an injection. While waiting for the injection to take effect, Edison Qin walked in with a document in hand. "Dr. Jiang, here's the contract ready for signing. Please take a look, and if everything is fine, we can sign it."
This was what they had agreed upon last night, and Ja Jiang had no objections. She carefully examined the document and signed her name on it.
After signing the contract, Edison Qin's attitude towards her became friendlier. "From now on, we're in a partnership. However, I still need Dr. Jiang to take care of my grandfather."
Ja Jiang nodded, "That's what I should do."
The two of them chatted for a while, and when it was time, Ja Jiang administered the injection to Mr. Qin. Despite her efforts to manage her time, it was already past the children's kindergarten dismissal time when she finished packing up.
Ja Jiang hurriedly said her goodbyes and drove to the kindergarten to pick up the two little ones. She hadn't informed them that she might be late today, so she wondered if they would be anxious.
When she arrived at the kindergarten, it was nearly empty, with most of the children already gone. Ja Jiang looked around and finally spotted the two little ones on the playground's small chairs.
However, there was no teacher with them. Seeing this, Ja Jiang felt a bit worried and quickly walked over.
"Mommy!" When they saw her, the two little ones ran happily toward her.
Ja Jiang held one in each arm, caressed their little faces, and crouched down to say, "Mommy was a bit busy with work and accidentally missed the time. I'm sorry."
Hale shook his head understandingly. "It's okay, Mommy. We were waiting here at the kindergarten, and there was a teacher with us, so you don't need to worry."
Harlan nodded as well.
Upon hearing this, Ja Jiang looked puzzled. "There was a teacher with you?"
Hale pointed to a corner of the playground. Following his gaze, Ja Jiang saw another slide, and a teacher was squatting there, chatting warmly with a little girl. The little girl, dressed in a cute kindergarten uniform, had her hands placed somewhat shyly on her knees and was sitting very upright, her eyes fixed on their direction.
When Ja Jiang saw the little girl's face clearly, she was taken aback. If she wasn't mistaken, this was unmistakably... the daughter of Andrew Li.
Was she also attending this kindergarten?
Nora had initially been staring at Hale and Harlan, but when she suddenly noticed the beautiful aunt, her eyes lit up. She smiled at the beautiful aunt and was about to greet her.
But in the next moment, the beautiful aunt averted her gaze.
Nora's smile faded, and she looked a bit disappointed. The beautiful aunt had clearly recognized her just now but chose to ignore her.
"Mommy, what's wrong with you? Did you have a tough day at work?" Hale noticed that his mommy seemed distracted and gently shook her finger, expressing concern.
Ja Jiang snapped back to reality and forced a smile. "Not at all."
Harlan happily held her hand and exclaimed, "Then let's go home!"
