When Johnson Zhang spotted the security team, his heart skipped a beat. This couldn't be good!
Tyler Mo, upon seeing the arrival of the security team, felt a glimmer of hope, much like a starving man who had just found bread. He immediately stopped signing the documents he held and shouted, "Hurry, subdue this thug!"
Upon hearing the supervisor from the sales department, the leader of the security team quickly issued commands to his team members, surrounding William Lin.
William Lin calmly spoke up, "I just wanted him to sign a document. What did I do wrong?"
Before anyone else could respond, a member of the sales department spoke up, "No, William Lin, you have some nerve showing up here. I think Supervisor Mo did the right thing. Someone like you, a scumbag, shouldn't even be allowed to sign anything."
"Dumping your girlfriend for a sugar mommy was bad enough, but going after your ex-girlfriend through your sugar mommy, humiliating and taunting her? You really have the nerve to come to the company?"
William Lin turned to the source of the voice and saw that it was Leo Zhao, the leader of the second team in the sales department. During the annual employee of the year selection, it had come down to William Lin and Leo Zhao in the final round. However, William Lin emerged victorious with his outstanding performance.
Since then, William Lin has become a thorn in Leo Zhao's side. Whenever he had the chance, Zhao would go to great lengths to make life difficult for William Lin.
William Lin's tone turned cold, "Why do I need your judgment for what I've done? I came here to resign, and even with that, he's making it difficult."
Leo Zhao and his team had been waiting for William Lin to say just that. Otherwise, how could he continue to fan the flames? "Did you hear that? He injured the supervisor and is still making threats. Subdue him quickly!"
Seeing that the security team was still hesitating, Tyler Mo shouted, "What are you waiting for? What if he becomes violent again? Are you all not going to do your jobs? Subdue him quickly! If anything happens, it's on me!"
Hearing this, the security team leader finally made up his mind and signaled to his team members. He took the initiative and swung the riot baton toward William Lin's neck.
Meanwhile, Johnson Zhang watched helplessly, realizing there was nothing he could do but hope to intervene somehow.
As they watched the riot baton approach William Lin, the onlookers had mixed feelings. While they were competitors, they had all witnessed the power of the latest riot baton during the company's riot control exercise.
At the touch of a button, it released a non-harmful electric shock to the human body, instantly paralyzing any assailant. William Lin knew the power of this cutting-edge technology well. As the riot baton came close, he had already channeled his energy, covering his hands with a protective aura.
In a swift motion, William Lin gripped the end of the riot baton with both hands and, with a powerful twist, bent it out of shape.
? ? ?
The security team leader began to doubt if he had grabbed the wrong equipment. Wasn't this made of alloy steel? How could it be bent like this?
Witnessing William Lin effortlessly bending the riot baton, the security team that had initially been preparing to charge stood frozen in their tracks.
Is this even human?
Johnson Zhang was equally dumbfounded. Could someone become this formidable just by using their hands? It seemed that women truly could slow down a man's draw of the sword.
"What are you all standing around for?" Tyler Mo yelled upon seeing the hesitating security team. "With so many of you, are you still afraid of him? Do I have to call your supervisor to get you moving?"
Hearing Tyler Mo's threat, they realized he had a point. With so many of them, they shouldn't be afraid. The security team moved in once again.
William Lin not only refused to retreat but also assumed a fighting stance as he advanced towards the security team.
The leading security guard threw a punch towards William Lin's face. However, when the fist was just ten inches away from William Lin, it landed as if hitting cotton, weak and feeble. All the force returned to the guard's arm, leaving it tingling and numb.
William Lin charged into the security team, moving through the crowd like a fish, with no security personnel within three feet of him.
Onlookers marveled at William Lin's elusive steps and his fleeting presence among the crowd. They couldn't believe their eyes.
They had never known William Lin possessed such remarkable abilities. He had always appeared as a well-behaved gentleman. Today, they were truly impressed. He outshone all those flashy championship coaches.
After a moment, all the security personnel were lying on the ground, moaning in pain.
William Lin hadn't expected the security team to be so easily defeated. During the previous riot control exercises, they had appeared quite formidable. William Lin had even pulled his punches.
After dealing with the security team, William Lin turned his attention to Tyler Mo, who had just picked up the pen and resumed signing. Yes, he had backed down.
Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, William Lin walked over to Tyler Mo, glanced at the resignation letter that had been signed, and realized Tyler Mo had ceased any further tricks. He prepared to leave the office.
William Lin didn't exchange any words with Johnson Zhang. He left, knowing that Johnson Zhang still had to work there. It wouldn't be good if Johnson Zhang faced trouble from others because of him.
As William Lin walked towards the office door, he collided with Judy Li.
It turned out that Judy Li had received a report about a disturbance at the Fuqiang Jewellery Group, where she worked as a duty officer. It wasn't her shift, but she found her duty quite boring and decided to tag along.
"Why is it you?" Judy Li asked, adjusting her cap when she saw William Lin's face.
Before William Lin could respond, Leo Zhao hurried over and pointed at William Lin, saying, "Inspector, it's him, he's the one causing trouble here. He's injured several of us."
Judy Li leaned forward to take a look at the scene inside the office and confirmed that it was indeed as Leo Zhao had described – the situation was extremely chaotic.
William Lin realized that the situation wasn't going to be easy to resolve. He decided to cooperate and extended his hands toward Judy Li.
Seeing William Lin's willingness to cooperate surprised Judy Li. She had never seen someone so eager to comply. She took out handcuffs and fulfilled William Lin's wish.
After Judy Li had gathered evidence and statements from everyone present, she pointed at Tyler Mo and Leo Zhao, saying, "Both of you will need to give statements at our station."
"What? Why do we have to go?" Leo Zhao and Tyler Mo protested simultaneously.
"One is the reporting party, and the other is the initial victim. You both need to come," Judy Li replied.
Initially, Leo Zhao and Tyler Mo had been pleased to see the inspector arrive, thinking that William Lin's resistance would be futile. However, they hadn't anticipated being asked to accompany the inspector, and their enthusiasm waned.
Just as Judy Li was about to leave, Johnson Zhang, who had remained silent throughout, asked, "Can I go too? I'm a witness!"
Judy Li turned and nodded. The more people they had to understand the situation, the better. She then led the group, including Johnson Zhang, out of the office.
Once they left the Fuqiang Jewellery Group, they headed to the police station.
Just a second after Judy Li had started speaking, Simon Li rushed into the sales department's lobby, gasping for breath, and shouted, "William Lin!"
