Through the wall, William Lin could only see a woman in extravagant attire desperately pleading with the doctor in front of her.
"Hurry, save my child! Aren't you the best neurologist in Jiang City?" she implored.
The doctor shook his head helplessly, "Given the current state of medical technology, there's really nothing we can do about this brain tumor."
A middle-aged man standing beside the woman grabbed the doctor's collar and shouted furiously, "He's only seven years old! I'm ordering you, right now, immediately, treat my child!"
Meanwhile, the young boy lying on the hospital bed was deathly pale, his face contorted in agony. He spoke slowly, "Dad! It's okay, don't pressure Doctor Uncle."
Just as William Lin was about to continue observing, he was suddenly struck by a piercing headache.
William quickly ceased his perspective and shook his head. He recalled from his memory that using this ability required tapping into his inner spiritual power, and it seemed he couldn't do it casually.
Seeing the suffering child, he couldn't help but think of his own sister, who had been equally sweet and obedient. However, at that time, he had been unable to afford medical expenses, and his sister had eventually passed away. Therefore, he understood the middle-aged man's anguish over his child.
Watching the child in pain while feeling utterly helpless himself, all he could do was watch the child slip away.
William Lin sat up abruptly, removing the needle from his arm and getting out of bed. He headed towards the adjacent ward.
Since all of this was real, he should be able to save that child, right? Now that he had the ability, he couldn't let such things happen under his nose. Otherwise, he would never find peace of mind.
William arrived at the ward where the young boy was. The people inside, seeing him in hospital attire, looked puzzled and asked, "Young man, did you enter the wrong room?"
William didn't respond to the doctor's question but instead turned to the woman and said, "May I take a look at the child's condition? I might be able to help."
William's words were like a thunderbolt in the minds of those present.
"What? Young man, are you joking? Do you know what disease this is? I can't even do anything, and you, with that bandage on your head, dare to talk nonsense. Have you lost your mind?" The doctor, who had been submissive in front of the middle-aged man earlier, now mercilessly mocked him.
With a single glance from the middle-aged man, the doctor immediately fell silent, staring at William in silence.
"Are you serious? Young man, do you really have a way? I'll kowtow to you if necessary, please save my child!" The woman said, seemingly ready to kneel down.
William quickly helped the woman stand, watching her with a sense of empathy, just as his own mother had begged doctors for help back then. It was a poignant reminder of the depths of parental love.
William nodded and said, "I can't guarantee, but I'll do my best."
Just as William was about to examine the child's condition, the previous doctor jumped in once more.
"Mr. Li, you all need to think this through! Just look at him. Even the bandage on his head is something I wrapped. How could he possibly cure your son's illness? I'm willing to bet my entire future career on this. If he can cure it, I'll resign from this profession right now."
"If the young master continues with conservative treatment, it will take another year or so, but whether he can be cured, that's unrelated to our hospital," the doctor explained.
Mr. Li, the middle-aged man, heard this and couldn't make up his mind; he was weighing his options.
At that moment, the young boy lying in the hospital bed spoke up. His innocent eyes were fixed on William as he said, "Dad, I believe in Uncle. Let him take a look! It's just an examination, after all."
Listening to his son, Mr. Li also found himself torn and indecisive. The woman, watching her husband contemplate, offered her encouragement.
Unable to come up with any other solution, Mr. Li eventually nodded heavily, indicating for William to proceed.
William walked over to the young boy, smiling, and said, "Don't worry, I won't let you down."
Following the method stored in his memory, William began to examine the boy's condition. After a moment, he was drenched in sweat.
William stopped the examination and turned to the doctor, saying, "I need a set of silver needles, nine of them, and bring me two bottles of glucose. I need to replenish my energy."
The doctor's initial disdainful expression was quickly replaced with fear when Mr. Li shot him a stern look. He nodded quickly and rushed off to prepare the items.
Watching the doctor hurry off, Mr. Li looked at William with concern and asked, "Young man, are you sure about this? If it doesn't work, don't force it. We won't blame you."
William turned to Mr. Li with a determined tone and said, "I'm 90% sure. Trust me."
William didn't want to make a promise he couldn't keep. He knew the boy's ailment and had a treatment method in mind, but he was worried about whether his own body could handle it.
Hearing that William was 90% sure seemed like a breath of relief to Mr. Li, and his previously furrowed brow eased slightly. The doctor had shown no such confidence before.
Before long, the doctor returned with two bottles of glucose water and a wooden box.
He handed them to William, who immediately opened one of the bottles and started drinking, downing both bottles in a matter of moments.
William Lin took a moment to catch his breath, then opened the wooden box and retrieved the silver needles.
"Don't move, okay?" William smiled at the young boy.
The young boy nodded, his expression filled with trust in William.
William channeled his spiritual power into the silver needles and proceeded to insert them into the boy's temples one after another.
Seeing this, the woman was about to rush forward to stop William, but her husband, Simon Li, grabbed her and gestured for her to stay silent.
CEO Li, also known as Simon Li, was one of Jiang City's top businessmen, with over two decades of experience in the business world. He had a knack for reading people, and he had seen the confidence in William's eyes, which is why he allowed this young man to proceed.
William continued to insert one needle after another until all nine were in place. Using the tiny bit of remaining spiritual power in his mind, he peered into the boy's brain. He saw the tumor on the boy's brain being completely eradicated by the spiritual energy from the silver needles.
Once all the tumors were cleared, William struggled to support his body as he removed each silver needle.
Feeling extremely dizzy, he collapsed to the ground, his face drained of color, and looking ashen.
Taking a deep breath, William said, "It's done. The tumor has been removed."
Hearing this news, the couple couldn't contain their excitement. Simon Li quickly called out to the doctor, "Hurry, get the best medicine to help this young man recover."
The doctor cast a sidelong glance at William and thought, "Let's see how you die later. You dared to deceive someone in front of Simon Li. He knows his way around here, or else with his position in this hospital, he wouldn't be acting so subservient."
A moment later, a nurse brought adrenaline and administered it to William. Meanwhile, Simon Li and his wife went with the doctor to the CT room to check their child's condition.
Simon Li and his wife arrived at the CT room with the doctor.
Outside the CT room, Simon Li and his wife paced anxiously, while inside, the doctor's jaw dropped in astonishment.
