Everyone present was a unified entity. No one would leave here alive tonight, that was certain. "We'll stand and face you!" came the cry. "Unite, everyone!" The gangsters hastily scaled the wall. "I'm prepared to fight to the end!" Desperation fueled the fight for the last chance of survival. Yet, strength was a prerequisite if one intended to fight to the death. In Lambert Ye's eyes, they were mere ants, easily defeated. The wretched howls emanated continuously from the club, turning this place into a hell on earth. On the roadside outside the club, hundreds of ordinary people from Jadeborough stood in curiosity, wondering what was unfolding within the Black Tiger Gang's lair. No one emerged from within, and nobody dared to venture inside.
The screams subsided in less than five minutes. Inside the club, silence engulfed. At this moment, Lambert Ye calmly emerged from the club, noticing a trace of blood on his coat. He calmly removed it and cast it onto the ground. The onlookers from Jadeborough were astonished, recognizing him as the one who dismantled the Zhao family earlier in the day. The bewilderment grew. Was Lambert Ye confronting the entire Black Tiger Gang single-handedly? The audience's imagination was confined. Lambert Ye wasn't dealing with the Black Tiger Gang; he was up against the entirety of Jadeborough's underground society. Furthermore, he had eradicated the chief gang leader of the Jadeborough underground society. "I have an announcement to make," Lambert Ye declared, addressing the crowd in a resonant voice.
The audience fell into an immediate hush, their eyes reflecting curiosity and anticipation. What did this young man have to say? "Starting tonight, Jadeborough will be free from the tyranny of gangs. If anyone, be it man or woman, faces harassment or disorderly conduct, inform me. The ultimate fate will be akin to that of the Black Tiger Gang." Lambert Ye proclaimed loudly. He had eliminated a menace to the people of Jadeborough, ensuring it would not resurface. "Hero! Lambert Ye, you are our hero!" resounded the cries. Hundreds raised their arms in salute. The applause thundered, and the shouts echoed. Lambert Ye merely smiled faintly, leaving amidst the admiration of all.
The onlookers rushed into the Black Tiger Gang's lair and discovered lifeless bodies strewn across the ground—the gang leaders responsible for countless wicked deeds. Infuriated, they kicked and spat on the corpses, venting years of pent-up anger. The people set fire to the Black Tiger Gang's lair, reducing it to ashes. Subsequently, news of the gang eradication in Jadeborough spread like wildfire throughout the city. More people stormed gang dens, setting them ablaze. Suddenly, the entire city was ablaze, and the little gangsters who managed to escape sought refuge. From now on, no amount of courage would entice them to wreak havoc again. Lambert Ye had become a legend among the people of Jadeborough, annihilating the audacious and domineering Zhao family and decimating all the gangs in the Jadeborough underground society.
The people of Jadeborough clapped and cheered in unison. Late at night, Lambert Ye returned to his hotel room. "Lilian, I will avenge you. I have avenged the people of Jadeborough," Lambert Ye exclaimed joyfully. "Well, I witnessed it all," Lilian Lin, who had difficulty moving, replied as she sat on the sofa. She held her mobile phone, having witnessed Lambert Ye's accomplishments against the Black Tiger Gang. The gang had driven her parents to their deaths, and now, the great retribution had been exacted, causing her tears to flow. The man before her exceeded her wildest imagination. He was mighty.
"Don't cry, please," Lambert Ye said softly, embracing Lilian to comfort her. "Woo..." Lilian Lin buried her face in Lambert Ye's arms, shedding tears uncontrollably, releasing the grievances she had endured for years. She was strong, but she didn't need to be in Lambert Ye's embrace. It took a long while for her tears to subside. Gently leaving Lambert Ye's warm embrace, he wiped away her tears. Lilian Lin suddenly felt insecure and wanted to withdraw. She feared being disliked, fearing children would be frightened by her current appearance. "I'll never be the same again," Lilian Lin said sadly. Even the most advanced plastic surgery couldn't fully restore her beauty.
"No, I promised to heal you. I'll definitely make your face as beautiful as before," Lambert Ye comforted softly, leaning over to kiss Lilian Lin on the forehead. Her face instantly reddened, and her heart raced. How could she not be thrilled to be kissed by such a handsome man? "I'll start by healing your feet so you can walk again," Lambert Ye said, taking out a needle bag. Unfolding it, dozens of slender silver needles lay inside. These were acquired from Master Jingse's room while descending the mountain.
"I'll give you an acupuncture treatment now. It might hurt a little, but please bear with it. Extend your feet over here," Lambert Ye instructed. Lilian Lin immediately pulled up her skirt and stretched her fair, slender legs. They were perfect, but her delicate feet hung limp due to the broken hamstring, unable to touch the ground. Lambert Ye held the sole of her foot and began the acupuncture, using the Mysterious Nine Acupoints technique taught by his master. He inserted the needles into eight-foot acupoints, condensing his energy and channelling it into Lilian's acupuncture points through the silver hand.
Lilian Lin felt slight pain as the acupuncture proceeded, but it was bearable. Her previously cold feet started to warm up, and she cautiously moved her toes. They responded! This surprised her immensely! Lambert Ye picked up another silver needle and inserted it into the Yongquan point on her sole. The pain was more intense. "Yeah..." Lilian Lin gasped. "Don't make strange sounds, alright? It might be misunderstood," Lambert Ye joked. "No way! It's your fault!" Lilian Lin retorted shyly.
The atmosphere in the room turned somewhat ambiguous. Lambert Ye smiled and continued to acupuncture her other foot, using the same technique. After over twenty minutes, the acupuncture was completed. He massaged her feet with his palms, using his Qi to activate the dead meridians. Another twenty minutes passed, and it was finally done. "Alright, rest tonight. Tomorrow morning, you'll be able to walk on your own," Lambert Ye assured, smiling. He picked Lilian Lin up and laid her on the bed. "Rest well, good night," he said, kissing her forehead again and then leaving. "Lambert, can you stay and sleep with me?" Lilian Lin asked shyly.
