"It's me!" Allen Chen said with a smile.
Jackson Cui was furious. "It's you! What the hell are you doing here? Are you asking for death?"
"Send them out," Allen Chen said, striding in. He glanced at the scantily clad women and spoke in a subdued tone.
A cold expression flashed across Jackson Cui's face. "Who do you think you are, giving me orders?"
"Baldie!"
"Yes, boss?" The most trusted bodyguard, Baldie, charged towards Allen Chen. Despite his name, he wasn't bald. On the contrary, his hair stood up like spikes. His massive arms, when clenched into fists, resembled hammers!
His mere presence exuded a menacing aura that would make anyone falter.
Most would retreat at the sight of such an opponent.
However, Allen Chen didn't back down. Instead, he took two steps forward. "If anything happens to me, be ready to deal with the police," he remarked calmly.
"Hmph! You dare threaten me?" Coldness flashed in Baldie's eyes as he swung a punch towards Allen Chen.
Allen Chen didn't flinch, taking yet another step forward, seemingly oblivious.
The crowd was taken aback.
Is this guy nuts?
Baldie's punch, powerful enough to knock out a punching bag, was coming right at Allen Chen. Anyone who took it head-on would surely be dead!
"Stop!" Jackson Cui shouted suddenly.
Baldie halted immediately, his fist suspended in mid-air. "Boss?"
"Stand back," Jackson Cui commanded.
Confused but obedient, Baldie glared at Allen Chen as he retreated. "You got lucky this time."
"But your luck might not last much longer," Allen Chen replied with a smile.
Baldie clenched his fists, his knuckles crackling. "Boss, this guy doesn't know what's good for him!"
"I said stand back!" Jackson Cui snapped.
Baldie was taken aback. When Jackson Cui had this expression, it often meant that his anger had reached its limit. Without hesitation, he quickly returned to Jackson Cui's side. "Yes, boss."
"What do you want?" Jackson Cui asked, straightening up on the sofa.
Allen Chen handed over his phone, saying, "Listen to this first."
"Kid, you're not the only one in the world who works with Tianmei Group. I can find others to make connections for me." Jackson Cui gave him a glance, "That trick won't work on me."
"You misunderstand, Mr. Cui. I'm not here to set up any deal. Just listen," Allen Chen replied, pressing play.
Everyone listened to the audio of Baldie and another man talking.
“This is!” Baldie's face went pale, his eyes filled with murderous intent.
Jackson Cui's expression darkened. "What are you implying?"
"You tried to have me killed. Do you think the police will believe you weren't involved?" Allen Chen chuckled, sitting back and crossing his legs, thoroughly enjoying the scene.
Jackson Cui frowned. "Is this a threat?"
"I just want justice," Allen Chen responded. "A life for a contract. Sounds like a fair trade, right?"
"We should get rid of him, boss," Baldie interjected.
Suddenly, Jackson Cui picked up a beer bottle and smashed it on Baldie's head. Blood oozed from the impact, and dazed Baldie collapsed onto the floor.
"Idiot!" Jackson Cui cursed. He then turned to Allen Chen, smiling. "My apologies, Mr. Chen. Sometimes, my men can be a bit impulsive."
"I had no knowledge of hiring a hitman," he said.
"Cut to the chase, did you sign the contract?" Allen Chen pulled out a thin document from his suit and tossed it before him.
Jackson Cui's face twitched, and he said sternly, "Mr. Chen, I’ve said just now. This has nothing to do with me."
"I've told you, Mr. Cui, the police won't believe you," Allen Chen chuckled.
How could Jackson Cui not know when his personal bodyguard hires a hitman?
"Business leaders and celebrities from around the world attending the International Exhibition won't believe you either, right?"
"You!" Jackson Cui pointed at him angrily, grinding his teeth.
Allen Chen laughed, "Your company, Tiantong Group, is already in a tough spot. If such an incident happens, I guarantee this year will be the end of your company."
"Alright, alright. I underestimated you. I didn't expect you to see things so clearly." Jackson Cui grabbed the folder and glanced at the contract inside; his expression turned even grimmer.
This was the same renewal contract as before, with no increase!
"Mr. Chen, isn't this too much?"
"The situation has changed, Mr. Cui. I'm on a tight schedule. "Either sign it now and I'll leave, or don't sign and keep me here," Allen Chen said with a smile.
Jackson Cui's face turned ashen. "Fine, you have guts!"
I'll remember this!
Jackson Cui signed the contract with a few strokes and stamped it with the company seal. "Happy now?"
"Thank you, Mr. Cui. I wish us a pleasant collaboration." Allen Chen picked up the contract and turned to leave.
A few bodyguards moved to follow him, but Jackson Cui waved them off.
The bodyguards whispered, "Mr. Cui, should we take care of him discreetly?"
"To avenge you and Brother Baldie!"
"What fools!" Jackson Cui glared at them. "That young man has a recording. If things get tough, I'll be the one in trouble."
"So, what do we do? Let him keep acting arrogant?" The bodyguards were discontent.
Jackson Cui coldly said, "Wait. Once the International Exhibition ends, I have ways to deal with him."
"Yes, Mr. Cui is wise!"
"Hmph!" Jackson Cui beckoned to a gorgeous woman in the center, looking to vent his frustrations. "Come here!"
"Yes, Mr. Cui."
"Brother Chen!" At the entrance, seeing a confident figure walk out, Joe Wang sighed in relief, a smile on his face.
Ava Liu asked, "Mr. Cui didn't harm you, did he?"
"What can he do to me?" Allen Chen smirked, tossing the folder to her. "Look, the deal is done."
"Really?!" Ava Liu was shocked. "What conditions did you set?"
"Good ones."
"35%?"
"Unchanged," Allen Chen laughed.
Ava Liu glanced at the contract, looking astonished. This was the same contract they signed with Tiantong Group last time!
It had already been a year. Market conditions had changed, but it was still the old contract!
Won't Tiantong Group operate at a loss?
"How did you manage this?"
"I have my ways," Allen Chen said with a smile as he got into his car. "Brother Joe, mission accomplished. Let's celebrate. You choose the place."
"My treat!"
"I know a great place. It'd be a waste not to go while in Bin City," Joe Wang laughed.
